The Hindu Kaharingan society of Dayak Dusun in South Barito watershed has a very strong divine insight as reflected in the aspects of their lives. The religion was not in the major religions, Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Buddhism, and Hinduism. It was not limited to the world of its tribal environment. It was related to the essential for its own ancestors. Hindu doctrine that was often seen generally regarding the implementation of the religious ceremonies. It was called yadnya. It defined as the sacred sacrifices were conducted sincerely. Due to the diversity for each activity, it was done in accordance with the concept included Desa (place), Kala (time), and Patra (situation and condition). Kaharingan Hindu society was located in the South Barito watershed. There was a mandatory ceremony to be performed. The Liau ancestors can be detached from suffering and misery and could reach the realm of eternity. It was Lummut mountain. Usik Liaugame still exists in the Hindu Kaharingan society although it was often classified that the game as a deviant behavior. Due to it was toward the values of Hinduism and positive law. The religious meaning values of the game were forwarded to the ancestors. The now game implementation ceremony has undergone a shift. The society was bound to the tradition. It was assumed that the game was a pure traditional ceremony was inserted with a gambling game made the event to do business for the momentary benefit. The ritual ceremony was mandatory to be implemented as a form of devotion to his ancestral devotion.

This research is entitled “The Hegemony Imposed by the Government and theResistance of Wetu Telu Sasaknese Ethnic Group at Bayan District, North Lombok”.The interaction between the government and the Wetu Telu Sasaknese community atBayan District has resulted in differences in views, ideas, and behaviors leading tofriction and refusal or opposition from the community.This research is focused on 1) how has the hegemony imposed by thegovernment upon the Wetu Telu Sasaknese Ethnic Group residing at Bayan District,North Lombok Regency taken place? 2) what has been done by the people of the WetuTelu Sasaknese Ethnic Group residing at Bayan Distrik, North Lombok to resist to thehegemony imposed by the government upon them? and 3) what are the effects andmeanings of the hegemony imposed by the government and the resistance of the WetuTelu Sasaknese Ethnic Group on the multicultural community life at Bayan District,North Lombok Regency?The data needed were collected by interview, observation, and documentationand were descriptively, qualitatively and interpretatively analyzed. The theories used togive answers to the problems formulated above are the theory of hegemony (Gramsci),the theory of deconstruction (Jacques Derrida), and the theory of discourse (Foucault).The results show that the hegemony imposed by the government has taken placein a number of particular aspects such as the religious aspect, socio political aspect,cultural aspect and educational aspect. Being marginalized and being not free indeveloping their tradition and culture, the people of Wetu Telu Sasaknese Ethnic Groupresiding at Bayan District, North Lombok Regency, have been responsible for theirresistance to the government and the followers Islam Waktu Lima. The resistance hasbeen shown by avoiding, refusing and even opposing what is considered not inaccordance with their tradition and culture.One of the effects of the hegemony imposed by the government and theresistance made by the people of the Wetu Telu Sasaknese Ethnic Group residing atBayan District is that there has been imbalanced communication between the followersof Islam Waktu Lima (which collaborates with the government) and the Wetu TeluSasaknese Ethnic Group residing at Bayan District leading to a social conflict. The othereffects have been that such a social conflict has disturbed the social life of the community, has led to a paradox of cultural preservation, and has narrowed the power ofthe Wetu Telu Sasaknese Ethnic Group residing at Bayan District. From the meaningpoint of view, what has taken place at Bayan District has philosophical and multiculturalmeaning as well as the meanings of struggle for identity, cultural preservation anddynamism.

Guru agama Hindu berperan untuk mengajarkan materi agama Hindu terkait dengan karakter luhur, karakter mulia, karakter tanggungjawab, karakter pendidikan, karakter ekonomi, karakter spiritual, karakter sosial, karakter taat hukum, karakter rajin belajar, karakter saling menolong, dan sebagainya. Guru agama Hindu dituntut untuk tekun belajar, selain tekun mengajar. Guru agama Hindu tidak bisa tanpa belajar yang tekun. Perkembangan dan kemajuan proses pendidikan peserta didik ada di tangan guru agama Hindu. Pendidikan karakter kepada para guru agama Hindu sesungguhnya upaya pembangunan di bidang nonfisik. Perlunya penyeimbangan antara pembangunan fisik dan nonfisik secara berkelanjutan sampai ke masa depan. Selain pendidikan karakter juga penting diteguhkan mengenai materi Pancasila, agar kehidupan bangsa Indonesia mencapai hidup yang sejahtera, bahagia, dan berkeadilan. Membangun nilai-nilai karakter sesuai filsafat Hindu dan sekaligus menanamkan nilai luhur Pancasila sebagai upaya positif guna menjadikan para guru agama Hindu sebagai pelopor dan pengabdi yang akan melahirkan generasi Hindu yang berkualitas, bertanggungjawab, dan memiliki ketahanan mental, moral spiritual, dan kepribadian yang mantap. Pendidikan karakter sesuai filsafat Hindu dimaksudkan untuk membangun kecintaan, ketulusan, kesetiaan, dan kesinambungan dedikasi dan loyalitas umat Hindu kepada agama Hindu sekaligus juga loyalitas kepada bangsa dan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.

Pustaka suci Bhagawadgita merupakan salah satu pedoman atau sumber tuntunan kerohanian dan tuntunan kehidupan beragama Hindu di Indonesia. Sebagian besar atau secara umum umat Hindu sudah membaca dan menjadikan sumber pedoman spiritual beragama Hindu, yang sangat kaya nilai-nilai kerohanian, salah satunya sarat dengan nilai-nilai filsafat Hindu. Dengan demikian lapisan masyarakat Hindu di Indonesia penting nilai kerohanian.. Artikel ini menyajikan ada sepuluh nilai sebagai sumber nilai secara filosofis. Nilai lainnya masih ada yang perlu dikaji yang berguna sebagai tuntunan. Secara singkat pada artikel ini dapat disajikan abstraknya yang terkait nilai-nilai filsafat Hindu yang terkandung dalam pustaka suci Bhagawadgita, antara lain: a) nilai fifsafat Ketuhanan, b) nilai filsafat Kemanusiaan, c) nilai filsafat Pendidikan, d) nilai filsafat Ritual/Upacara agama, e) nilai filsafat Etos Kerja, f) nilai filsafat Kesehatan, g) nilai filsafat Meditasi, h) nilai filsafat Pengabdian, i) nilai filsafat Kebenaran, dan j) nilai filsafat Toleransi atau saling menghargai/saling menghormati dengan sesama. Demikian inti isi artikel ini yang dapat dijadikan sumber tuntunan oleh umat Hindu Indonesia secara praktis.
