Abstract

Efforts to increase soybean production in acid soil can be done in two ways, were: (1) Calcification to improve the physical and chemical properties of land that is suitable for planting soybeans, or (2) through use of genotypes that have a high tolerance for stress Al (Muhidin,2002). Therefore, adaptive soybean varieties with the sour land 30-35% aluminum saturation and pH 4.5-5.0, and supported by soybean cooking genjah age (75 days) prospectively for soybean development outside Java. Varieties that have been known to land a sour adaptiv like Ratai, Sibayak, Nanti, Tanggamus and Seulawah consistent power adaptations to soil acidity, this is indicated by both agronomic traits and physiology. Anatomical characters show the most stress in response to Al is the root, the varieties sour adaftiv land rooting organ hampered not at all, the roots can develop well. The study concluded that the varieties that have been known to land a sour adaftiv like Ratai, Sibayak, Nanti, Tanggamus and Seulawah have a high consistency of the soil acidity, with roots showing growth and the number of normal pods. Root dry weight parameters can be used to assess the toxicity consideration Aluminum plant, which can be used as character selection in plant breeding process. Keywords: Morfofisiologi, Aluminium

Abstract

Composting organic waste is significantly gaining attention as a sustainable and environmentally friendly material. This is because the use of microorganisms or microbial consortia in the composting process can enhance the quality of compost. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the impact of microbial consortia on cow manure composting efficiency and nutrient content. The experiment was conducted at the Polinela Organic Farm, Department of Food Crop Cultivation. A randomized block design was used with multiple treatments combining fresh cow manure and microbial inoculants, including catalyst, Bacillus, and Trichoderma. The parameters evaluated were the effects of water content, pH, temperature fluctuations, and macronutrient levels on composting, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The results showed that microbial consortia significantly improved composting parameters such as moisture retention and temperature as a function of higher doses?of the inoculum. The highest total nitrogen (3.6%) and potassium (1.67%) content were obtained from Trichoderma treatment,?while the highest phosphorus (0.47%) content was obtained from Bacillus treatment. This?implied that microbial consortia could improve the quality and availability of composted nutrients in addition to the effectiveness of agricultural waste management and soil fertility practices. However, more research should be conducted?to determine the optimal microbial mixtures for various conditions of composting and the quality of the best compost produced.

Abstract

Rata-rata tinggi tanaman varietas F1 jagung putih Arumba sebesar 148,75 cm, sedangkan varietas F1 jagung manis Exsotic Pertiwi sebesar 111,3 cm. Sedangkan  rata-rata waktu  muncul bunga jantan varietas F1 jagung putih Arumba lebih cepat yaitu 45,5 hari. Sedangkan rata-rata varietas F1 jagung manis exsotic pertiwi 51,3 hari.

Abstract

Abstract

Determining the harvest time of rice plants is one of the determining factors for the success of rice production. Calculation of harvest time can be done using the heat unit method. This study aims to calculate the accumulation of heat units of several rice genotypes (Oryza sativa L.) in organic and non-organic cultivation systems. This study was conducted in September-December 2023 at Polinela Organic Farm (POF), Lampung State Polytechnic (5°21'10"S 105°13'43"E, 114 m above sea level using a Randomized Complate Block Design (RCBD) with four rice genotypes (PTP 01, Inpari 24, Jaliteng, and Pandan Wangi), which were planted in two different cultivation systems and replicated three times. The results showed that the four rice genotypes used showed significant differences in the accumulation of heat units between organic and non-organic cultivation systems. Organic cultivation systems require a higher average heat unit (1193.1°C days) than non-organic systems (1146.3°C days). Organic cultivation systems provide more stable growth in grain weight per panicle, the number of filled grains per panicle, and fewer empty grains. This demonstrates the importance of genotype selection and cultivation system in optimizing production and harvest time.
