Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the cotribution of physic learning through Sains Enviroment Technology Society (SETS) approach implementation in the result of student psychomotor skill achievement. The subject of this research is 30 students of SDN 001 Kelayang in periode 2008-2009. The chosen of main subject is device of optic. Data is collected by giving the applicative psychomotor test after finishing the subject. The data of this result is analyszed descriptively with consist of; student’s achievement and learning completeness. The result analysis showed the student’s achievement is categorized very hight, learning and material completeness of psychomotor skill is categorized hight.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the practicality level of mathematical pendulum experimental device based on microcontroller. This device consists of tools and mathematical pendulum device test based on microcontroller students worksheet which are used as medium of physics learning in senior high school. This research used research and development method. Respondents of this research are 3 high school teachers and 20 students of class X science of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru and MAN 1 Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques are done by giving a practicality questionnaire to teachers and students. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the value of the practicality of experimental device. Descriptive analysis showed that the practicality of mathematical pendulum props based on microcontroller was in very high category with average score 3,90 and 3,40. Likewise, the assessment on the practicality of students’ works sheet is rated very high by teachers and students with average score 3.67 and 3.42. Therefore, mathematical pendulum experimental device based on Microcontroller and Students’ worksheet is declared practical to be used as a physics learning media in senior high school.Key Word : Mathematical pendulum props based on microcontroller, Students’ worksheet, Practicality, Physics learning Media

Abstract

Abstract : This study was aimed to determine students learning outcomes by the application of Probing Prompting model. This study was conducted in SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. This study was a quasi-experimental using intact group comparison design. The subject in this study was student of X MIPA class in SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. Subject on this study obtained from two classes based on homogeneity test and the sample was chooseen randomly so that experiment and control classed could be obtained. The data was collected by using students learning outcomes after Probing Prompting model was applied in experiment class and conventional learning was applied in control class. The data was analize by using descriptive analysis. This study showed that the average number of students absorption ability which Probing Prompting model was applied 79,46% and 71,00% for the conventional learning. It can be concluded that the application of Probing Prompting model could improve students learning outcomes in momentum and impulse at X class SMA PGRI Pekanbaru.Keywords : Probing Prompting model, students learning outcomes, descriptive analysis

Abstract

Abstract: This is aimed to design Edmodo Media as learning media Physics focusing on momentum and impuls. This research was conducted since March until Juny 2018. It used R and D research methodology and it used ADDIE as learning media planning model. The instrument which is technique which is used in collecting the data was by validating the media planning by validator. Data analysis technique which is used was conducted for two times by doing suggestion by the validator. The first validity result shows 4,00 which is categorized high for material aspect, 4.10 which is categorized high for visual aspect, and 4.18 which is categorized high for learning design aspect. The second validation was conducted after revision. The result of the second validation was 4.30 which is categorized very high for material aspect, 4.27 which is categorized very high for visual aspect, and 4.40 which is categorized vey high for learning design aspect. Finally, the edmodo online learning media has been developed for impuls and momentum material. This learning media has very high validity which make it suitable used as learning media for impuls and momentum material.Key Words : Reseach and Development, ADDIE, Edmodo online media

Abstract

In order for science learning to be interesting and beneficial for students, science instructions must be oriented to the students daily environment. One way to link science instruction with the surrounding environment is by showing the application of scientific concepts to the appropriate technology. For students who live and study in coastal areas, the application of the concept of science should be linked to the sea that they observe every day. In this study a set of science learning media has been developed in the form of sea-wave power plant model. This model is designed so that it can visualize the process of using sea waves to produce electrical energy in the small scale. Expert assessment shows that the model of sea-wave power plant is declared valid so, it is suitable to be used as an instructional media for junior high school in science learning.

Abstract

Education is an effort to build character of students through fostering Affective domains to form Good Feeling, Cognitive domain to form Good Knowing, and Psychomotor domain to form Good Acting. Unfortunately, in affective domain learning activities or attitudes tend to be ignored for various reasons. This gives an overview of the lack of awareness of educators to pay attention to the affective aspects of learning. For that, it is necessary to habituate the internalization of character values by educators through a simple strategy, namely MSHR (Motivation, Socialization, Habituation, and Remediation). The goals of this strategy is to help teacher internalize character values in learning activities simplely. This type of research is R & D research using the Plomp development model. Validity and practicality tests carried out by experts and practitioners through oral assessment using questionnaire instruments. The effectiveness test is done by asking the student’s opinions on learning activities using the MSHR attitude learning model. The internalization can be carried out in the learning time section of the study, at the beginning, mid, or end of activities. The results of the study illustrate that the MSHR model is valid, practical, and effective to be used in learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the student’s difficulties in solving the problems based on the stages of solving problems skills at XI science 4 class of Senior High School 9 at Pekanbaru. This research was caused by the study results of TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) that showing Indonesia's students are at a very low ranking in the ability of the theory, analysis and problem solving. The respondents in this research were 35 students of XI science 4 class of Senior High School 9 at Pekanbaru. The techniques used to collect data consisted of diagnostic test. The instrument in this research are the diagnostic tests and sheets appraisement students based on stages of problem solving skills. Stages of problem solving skills are (1) understanding the problem, (2) devising the plan, (3) Carryng out the plan and (4) looking back. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis by calculate the percentage of students who are having difficulties in solving problems of physics based on ideal boundary pass and sheets appraisement students. Based on the diagnostic test got understanding the problem (32,6 %) included in a category almost half have difficulty, devising the plan (30,03%) included in a category almost half have difficulty, carryng out the plan (26,87%) included in a category almost half have difficulty and looking back (84,28%) included in a category in general have difficulty.Key Words: Problem Solving Skills, Diagnostic Test, Physic Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to produce linearkinematics motions’ experimental tools and the valid uquipments’ guidebook so that can be used as the proper physics science learning media for junior high school student on particle material. Research and development was used as research method. Development stage consist of preliminary research, planning, the making and validating. In this research the experimental tools just were developed up to the validation stage. The data was obtained from the validation 3 lecturers and 2 teachers as validator. The validation stage I while validation stage II. The assessment was asses some aspects of experimental tools. The function of equipment got 3.67 of average value (very high category), element of learning was 3.60 (very high category), the ease was 3.45 (very high category), the aesthetic abd contruction was 3.60 (very high category),and safety was 3.60 (very high category). The aspects which were assessed from guidebook were the content accuracy which got 3.47 (very high category), the properness of presentation was 3.60 (very high category), language properness was 3.40 (very high category), and display properness was 3.40 (very high category). Each indicator of assessment were valid which categorize in very high category, this was relate to purpose of development. Based on that, it can be concluded they the kinematic linear motion experimental tools and the guidebook were valid based on the assessment in every indicators, so it can be the proper physics science learning media for junior high school on motion on particle material.Keywords : Linear kinematics experimental tools, junior high school physics sciencelearning media.

Abstract

Abstrck: This research aims to determine the increase in cognitive science physics learning achievement of students with joyful learning. This research was conducted in SMPN 3 XIII Koto Kampar in August 2015. This research subject is 20 students of class VIIa as a control group with conventional learning and 21 students of class VIIb as an experimental group class with joyful learning. This research is pre-experimental design forms Intact Group Comparison. Instrument of collecting data in this research is a cognitive achievement test consisting of 10 multiple choice items. Descriptive analysis of the results obtained by the average absorption and effectiveness of learning of students in the experimental class of 80% and 70.5% control class with high category and effective. Mastery learning classical to experimental class categorized due to the percentage of 90.47%, while the control group did not complete with percentage of 70%. Completeness of indicators competency achievement in the experimental class of 100% and 70% control class declared complete. The results of inferential analysis through the sign test obtained a value of tcount>ttable (2,897>2,023), which means there is improvement of the cognitive learning science Physics with joyful learning of the use of conventional learning. It can be concluded with joyful learning can improve cognitive achievement of students of class VII SMPN 3 XIII Koto Kampar in the subject matter temperature and measurement.Key Words: The cognitive learning, Joyful Learning, Descriptive Analysis and Analysis Inferential

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to test the validity of experimental devices and experimental devices with Rnd method. Validity test was conducted at the Learning Media Development Laboratory of Physics Education Study Program of Physics Education Department of PMIPA Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Riau. This research was conducted from April to June 2017. With 3 lecturers validator who are experts in magnetism materials and 2 junior high school teachers who are also experts in the material. Type research is Research and Development (R & D). Research and Development (R & D) is a research method used to produce a particular product, and test the effectiveness of the product by using several stages. Magnetic props consist of 8 pieces of props with the concept of magnetism in SMP materials. The data collected in this research is primary data, that is the result of the validation assessment given by the validator to the researcher The data collection technique in this research is the validation of magnetic props done by presenting some experts or experienced experts to assess new product Designed. The experimental data validation experimental data collection technique will be validated twice, where the first validation is done by giving the correction sheet to the validator, then the validator gives suggestions for the improvement of the experimental device. The second validation is done by giving the scoring sheet to some validators. Furthermore the validator will provide an assessment of the experimental device in accordance with the indicators or aspects that have been made on the assessment instrument. The results of all assessments by validators show 8 magnetic props generating values in very good categories on the likert scale and highly valid on the index (r), so it is worth using as a medium of learning in junior highKeywords: validity, magnetic, magnetic props, Rnd
