Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of student’s social skills in class XI IPS3 SMAN 12 Pekanbaru through the application cooperative learning SOLO techniques on material impulse, momentum, and collision. The design was pre-experimental with the one-shot case study. The research subject were students of class XI IPS3 that consist of 31 students, 10 male students and 21 female students. Data were obtained from the observastion of student’s social skills. The result of this research showed the improvement of shows in crease the ability of student’s social skills . The improvement occuof through the aplication of cooperative learning SOLO techniques. The increase accurred in every indicators of student’s social skills as: active listening; Pose the questions; Take turn in sharing the task; cooperative (mutual cooperative); and tolerance. The results showed that acquisition value the average percentage for all indicators of student’s social skills in the middle category. Therefore, it can be concluded that aplication of cooperative learning SOLO techniques able to train of student’s social skills in class XI IPS3 SMAN 12 Pekanbaru.Keywords: student’s social skill, cooperative learning, SOLO techniques, momentum impulse and collision.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat eksperimen yang efektif untuk praktikum elektronika dasar pada topik transistor bipolar. Tempat penelitian ini di Laboratorium Pendidikan Fisika, FKIP Universitas Riau. Subjek ujicoba sebanyak 14 orang mahasiswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan cara menghitung indeks dari setiap indikator kelayakan alateksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh gambaran bahwa validator mengapresiasi alat eksperimen dengan baik, yang ditandai dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 3,33, yang berarti validitas isi dari alat eksperimen ini dinyatakan sangat tinggi. Indeks rata-rata praktikalitas sebesar 3,36 artinya praktalitas alat dan penuntun eksperimen dinyatakan sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian, alat dan penuntun eksperimen Elektronika Dasar yang dikembangkanuntukpercobaan aplikasi transistor dalam penelitian ini memiliki validitas dan praktikalitas yang sangat tinggi, sehinggaalat dan penuntun eksperimen aplikasi transistor sebagai penguat arus dan penguat tegangan AC,dinyatakan efektif digunakan dalam percobaan aplikasi transistor bipolar. Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to describe the problem solving skill of student in class X-2 MA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Campus 2 with the implementation of Strategy Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving in lesson impulse and momentum. The research used pre-experimental with one-shot case study design. The subjects were students of class X-2 totalling 29 students, consisting of 10 male students and 19 female students. The instrument of data collection in this study is the problem solving ability test consists of 4 essay questions. Analysis of the data in this study is a descriptive analysis to see an overview of the problem solving skill of student by using the criteria of the level of problem solving skills . The research showed the problem solving skill of student in class X-2 MA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru with the implementation of Strategy Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving in lesson impulse and momentum are at a low level. For every step of Problem Solving Skill of student showed that students at the step of understand the problem are at a very high level. For the step of devising a plan and carry out a plan are at a high level and then at looking back at the completed solution are at a very low level. Therefore in teaching physics, by using Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving could train problem solving skill of student but not effective.Key word : Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving, Problem Solving Skill

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the practicality level of mathematical pendulum experimental device based on microcontroller. This device consists of tools and mathematical pendulum device test based on microcontroller students worksheet which are used as medium of physics learning in senior high school. This research used research and development method. Respondents of this research are 3 high school teachers and 20 students of class X science of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru and MAN 1 Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques are done by giving a practicality questionnaire to teachers and students. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the value of the practicality of experimental device. Descriptive analysis showed that the practicality of mathematical pendulum props based on microcontroller was in very high category with average score 3,90 and 3,40. Likewise, the assessment on the practicality of students’ works sheet is rated very high by teachers and students with average score 3.67 and 3.42. Therefore, mathematical pendulum experimental device based on Microcontroller and Students’ worksheet is declared practical to be used as a physics learning media in senior high school.Key Word : Mathematical pendulum props based on microcontroller, Students’ worksheet, Practicality, Physics learning Media

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce an physics learning media based on android static electricity material, as well as knowing the quality of learning media products that have been developed so that they are suitable for use in physics learning activities. This learning media is designed to contain static electricity material that is abstract and cannot be seen in plain view. In this learning media the material of the picture is real and easily understood by students. This research is a research and development (R & D) which refers to the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely: analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. The learning media produced is an andoid based mobile learning application using APP Inventor 2. The assessment instrument uses an assessment sheet with data sources from media experts and metrics experts. This assessment instrument consists of four aspects of assessment, one of which is the design aspect, pedagogical aspects, content aspects and technical aspects. The results of the assessment of these four aspects obtained an average score of 4.66 and r index of 0.91 with a high level of validity. The results of the assessment indicate that the results of data analysis indicate that the static-based android learning media for high school students of class XII runs well and can be used as a supporting medium in the learning process at school.Key Words: Physics Learning Media, Inventor App For Android, Static Electricity.

Abstract

Abstract: Science process skills are the skills needed to acquire, develop, and apply concepts, laws, and theories of science, both in the form of mental skills, physical skills (manual) and social skills. This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of students' science process skills by applying maritime-based learning media. The research subjects were students of class VIII of SMPN 2 and SMPN 3 Sungai Apit. This type of research is a Quasi Experimental Design with a non equivalent control group design. This research instrument as many as 25 multiple choice questions. Data is collected by providing a test of science process skills to the subject. Data were analyzed descriptively to provide a picture of the results of learning the science process skills of students including the spread of abilities and increased ability on simple aircraft material. The results obtained were an increase in student ability shown by its N-Gain of 0.29 even though it was in the low category. Thus it can be concluded that the application of maritime-based learning media is effective for training the science process skills of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 and SMP Terror 3 Sungai Apit on simple aircraft material.Key Words: Maritime Based Media, Science Process Skills, Simple Aircraft.

Abstract

Abstrak: This research aimed to know difference of the students motivation science learning by application of learning by science integration and religion approach to increase students motivation physics learning on force and acceleration lesson. This type of research is quasi experimental, with the nonequivalent control group design. The subject of this ini research is students class VIII at SMPN 5 Pekanbaru, total of 60 students as divide into two class, experimental class and control class. The instrument of data in this research is questionare motivation ARCS, consist of Attention, Relevance, Confidance dan Satisfaction. The data in this research is a score of motivation before and after learning physics by implementation science integration approach and religion and analysis of the data uses descriptive analysis. Then, measured the improvement of the students motivation by Independent Sampel T Test. Score motivation of students at experimental class in high category with average score motivation changing is 13,66%, and the control class in the high category with average score motivation changing is 4,22%. Therefore, it can be concluded that by using science integration and religion approach able to improve students motivation physics learning.Key Words: Science integration and religion approach, Motivation.

Abstract

Abstract: To improve the quality of learning, teachers can use various media, for example by using the IPA KIT. The use of the IPA KIT Media in science learning is very important, considering that Science is one of the subjects in the science family. The STEM project KIT in this study was developed on the material of Temperature and Heat for junior high school students' science learning. The purpose of this study was to produce a unit of the STEM Project KIT on temperature and heat material which is valid as a medium for learning science for junior high schools. This research is expected that students can gain an understanding of a concept of a lesson by learning physics and not feel bored because of the memorable learning process. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. This research is only limited to the development stage. The research instrument used in this study was the KIT validation assessment sheet and the guidelines used by the validator to assess the appropriateness of using the temperature and heat STEM projection KIT for teaching and learning activities to improve students' scientific abilities. Data analysis in this study used quantitative data analysis, by calculating the average validity score of each validity indicator. The results showed that the Temperature and Heat STEM Project KIT was declared valid with the overall score for the Temperature and Heat STEM Project KIT was 3.46 with very valid criteria, and for the KIT Guidelines for the Temperature and Heat STEM Project got an overall score of 3,55 with very valid criteriaKeywords: KIT , STEM Project, Scientific skills, Temperature and Heat

Abstract

Abstract: The rapid use of technology in individuals learning in school has an impact inthe field of education to involve technology in the learning process, both in methods andlearning media. The emergency period that occurred in the world in 2019 causedthelearning process to be carried out from home or commonly called online, so it wasnecessary to develop android application-based learning media with a guided inquiryapproach in delivering learning materials. The purposeof this research is to developlearning media and to test the validity of the android application-based learning media.The development of this learning media is expected to be able to provide benefits tostudents so that students are motivated to learn magnetic field material independently,as well as assist in achieving learning goals online and offline. The developmentresearch model used in this research is the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design,Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In determining the level of mediavalidity, this research used a validation sheet filled out by three validators, as well asan analytical questionnaire filled out by teachers and students. The results of thevalidation by the three validators stated that the android application-based learningmedia was valid in the level of validity with an average final score of 3.3, and thecriteria were very good. Based on the results of the validation of the learning media, itis said to be suitable for use in learning activities.Keywords: Learning Media, Android Applications, Guided Inquiry, Magnetic Field.

Abstract

Abstract: The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires quality human resources with 21st century skills that must be possessed such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. The purpose of this research was to get an idea of the extent to which the initial conditions before and after learning regarding the level of creative thinking skills in the aspect of flexibility. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research were students of class VIII SMPN 21 Pekanbaru as many as 120 students who were distributed in three classes. The samples of this research were students of class VIII 8 as the control class with a total of 28 students and class VIII 9 students as the experimental class with a total of 32 students. The sample was determined based on the results of the normality test and homogeneity test. The data collection instrument was a test of creative thinking skills on the flexibility aspect of class VIII junior high school students for the context of simple airplane material. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive analysis assisted by the SPSS version 20 application. The results showed that there were differences in the level of creative thinking skills in the flexibility aspect between the control group and the experimental group and the application of the learning model using the STEM project approach was effectively used to improve the creative thinking skills of junior high school students in aspects of flexibility in learning Natural Sciences Physics online.Keywords: STEM Project Science Learning, Creative Thinking Skills, Flexibility Aspect, Simple Plane
