Abstract

ABSTRACT Breast cancer is a disease that occurs due to abnormal growth of cells in the breast tissue if not sooner in the handle will cause death. According to Riskesdas (2009), the highest cancer afflicting Indonesia women's breast cancer incidence by number 26 per 100,000 women. While according to SIRS (2011), breast cancer ranks first on the inpatient cancer patients throughout the hospital in Indonesia (16,85%). The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between the determinants of behavior breast self-examination (BSE) young women in SMK Negeri 8 Medan by 2014. Factors which affect, among others, age, family disease history, knowledge, attitude, and the nearest source of information. Type of this research is quantitative research is deskritif. The population in this research is the young women who attend school in SMK Negeri 8 Medan and samples taken as many as 89 people. Sampling techniques that used for stratified random sampling. Data obtained through interviews with a questionnaire and analyzed using Independent Test Sample Test and Chi-square. Based on the research found that there was an association ( p < 0,05 ) between the ages of with the act of breast self - examination (BSE), would be aware of between the acts of family sickness with the act of breast self - examination (BSE) , would be aware of between knowledge by the act of breast self - examination (BSE), would be aware of bet breast self - examination (BSE), ween attitude with the act of breast self - examination (BSE), would be aware of between a source of information with the act of breast self - examination (BSE) and between persons nearest to the act of breast self - examination (BSE). According to research above and suggested to dept. of health and puskesmas to increase promotion of health on the dangers of breast cancer and important realize to women especially teenage girls. Abstract

ABSTRACTOccupational Health and Safety is a work in order to safeguard workers are always in safe and healthy workplace for doing the job. K3 must be implanted in the workers themselves in order to have a good perception of the K3 and safe behavior at work.This research was conducted at production workers. PT. Sumpratama Juru Engineering Medan in 2015 to find out how much the correlation between perception on K3 and their behavior in K3 on workers. Type of analytical research using cross sectional design. Total population 63 production section consists of 4 units, 25 person panel unit, 10 person painting unit, 20 person wiring unit, and 8 person quality control, a sample of 39 people, sampling using simple random sampling technique taken from the 4 units. Data was collected by interview using a questionnaire to determine the worker's perception and observation using observation sheet to determine the behavior of workers. To know the great correlation between independent variables with the dependent variable Spearman statistical test.Research results obtained, category K3 safe behavior was found in both categories of perception as much as 19 people (48.7%), lack of perception as much as 4 people (10.3%). Meanwhile, the K3 categories unsafe behavior found in the perception of both categories of 7 people (17.9%), and lack of perception as much as 9 people (23.1%). The test results obtained statistically significant correlation between the perception of health and safety with the behavior of K3 P-value = 0,010, and the magnitude of correlation between perception of health and safety with K3 behavior (r) = 0.405, the value of (r) showed a moderate and patterned positive. This means that the better the perception of safety and health then the better the behavior of workers K3.

Abstract

Various interventions to prevent smoking at this time have been carried out on modifications of peer influence, not only to improve their knowledge, adolescents need to be given skills to control themselves, especially from peer influences with the aim that smoking is not socially accepted for adolescents and cooperative learning is a suitable method. Cooperative learning is successfully used by teachers and researchers at various levels of education, the field of health, especially public health education, and is proven effective when someone teaches his peers about health. This study uses a cooperative learning model with a jigsaw technique, aimed at analyzing differences in smoking prevention behavior (based on planned behavior theory consisting of attitudes, subjective norms, behavioral control, and intentions) between before and after the intervention. Research with quasi experiment type has been carried out in MTS Amin Darussalam of 20 students who were collected by purposive sampling technique, data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by Chi-Square. The results showed that there were differences in attitudes, subjective norms, PBC and intentions between before and after the intervention with jigsaw.

Abstract

This study discusses about factors affecting predisposing factors (education, economic level, knowledge and attitude) on defecation behavior in Bener Meriah Regency. This research was conducted in Bener Meriah Regency which consists of 10 districts with the following considerations: (1) Indiscriminate defecation (BABS) behavior of 36.7 percent, this is far from the minimum service standard target (SPM) of 100 percent the community does not defecate carelessly; (2) Achievement of clean and healthy living behavior is only 24.7 percent, (3) Achievement of total community-based sanitation is only 3.0 percent of the target of 100 percent; (4) The research location is easy to reach by researchers. The result shows that The education of the head of the family has an influence on the behavior of open defecation. The economic level of the head of the family influences the behavior of open defecation. The attitude of the head of the family has an influence on the behavior of open defecation

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of emotional and informational family support on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) prevention measures in Deli Serdang Regency. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The total population in this study was 452,676 people. The sampling technique used is voluntary sampling. The number of samples is 270 respondents. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire in the form of a google form. The data obtained in this study were analyzed by bivariate. The results showed that there is a significant effect of emotional family support on COVID-19 prevention measures in Deli Serdang Regency. There is a significant effect of informational family support on COVID-19 prevention measures in Deli Serdang Regency.

Abstract

Scabies is a skin disease related to the environment and human behavior. In Indonesia, scabies is still a public health problem. Scabies is found in places with unsanitary environments and poor personal hygiene such as dormitories, Islamic boarding schools and prisons. In LPKA Pekanbaru City, there were 38.33% cases of scabies. This case increased from the previous year, where cases in 2017 were 34%. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the incidence of scabies in the Class II Class II Special Development Institution for Children in Pekanbaru City in 2019. The research design used was cross sectional with a sample size of 120 children obtained using the total population. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. The data obtained in this study were analyzed by univariate, bivariate and multivariate using multiple logistic regression tests. The results showed that there was a relationship between cleanliness of clothes (p = 0.003), cleanliness of towels (p = 0.014), and environmental sanitation (p = 0.042) with the incidence of scabies. Meanwhile, the knowledge variable (p = 0.533) was not related to the incidence of scabies. In this study, if students have poor hygiene clothes, towels, and sanitation, they have the opportunity to experience scabies at the Pekanbaru City Children's Special Development Institute.

Abstract

Complete basic immunization coverage in Labuhan District is still low at 71.15%. Therefore, counseling is needed to change the behavior of parents in complete basic immunization to toddlers. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of counseling using the lecture method and the lecture method accompanied by leaflets on changes in maternal behavior in providing complete basic immunization at the Santosa Bay Health Center in Labuhanbatu Regency. This type of research is Quasi Experiment Design, with the design of Non-Equivalent Control Group. The intervention group consisted of two research subjects who were given different treatments and one research subject was made into the control group. This research was carried out in the work area of the Santosa Bay Health Center in LabuhanBatu Regency. The population in the study were all Trisemester III Pregnant Women as many as 188 people and the sample in this study were 75 people. Data analysis used included T-dependent, Wilcoxon, and Kruskal Walis. The results showed that there were differences (p= <0.001) and attitudes (p= <0.001) about basic immunization with the lecture method. There are differences in knowledge (p= <0.001) and attitudes (p= <0.001) with the lecture method accompanied by leaflets. There is a significant difference between the increase in knowledge and attitudes that get treatment counseling using the lecture method and the lecture method accompanied by leaflets. Changes in knowledge and the highest attitude on the group given the lecture accompanied by leafleat. For Teluk Sentosa Health Center, Labuhanbatu Regency, it should make a program with a routine schedule in the implementation of counseling for pregnant women both on basic immunization or related to the health and safety of mothers and babies. Where is the lecture method either without using media or by using alternative methods in implementing the program.

Abstract

Perilaku pencegahan berperan penting untuk menangkal dan meningkatkan kesadaran seseorang dalam memelihara kesehatannya. Hasil riset yang dilakukan united Nations on drugs and crime (UNODC) tahun 2017 menyatakan bahwa sekitar 271 juta (5,5%) penduduk dunia berusia 15-64 tahun merupakan pengguna narkoba. Siswa usia sekolah adalah kelompok usia yang rentan terhadap peredaran dan penyalahgunaan narkoba. Upaya Program Pencegahan, Pemberantasan Penyalahgunaan dan Peredaran Gelap Narkotika (P4GN) adalah program pemerintah dalam mengurangi jumlah penyalahgunaan narkoba. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara ketersediaan sarana dan dukungan guru dalam perilaku mencegah penyalahgunaan bahaya narkoba. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan analitik yang menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dengan google form. Metode analisis data meliputi analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwaperilaku pencegahan penyalahgunaan bahaya narkoba lebih dominan pada usia 15 tahun (78,4%) dengan jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 120 orang (60,3%). Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara ketersediaan sarana dengan nilai p=0,373 (p>0,05) dan faktor penguat guru dengan nilai p=0,038 (p<0,05) dalam perilaku pencegahan penyalahgunaan bahaya narkoba.Tidak ada hubungan antara faktor ketersediaan sarana dan faktor penguat guru dalam pencegahan penyalahgunaan bahaya narkoba.

Abstract

Air Susu Ibu (ASI) Eksklusif adalah ASI yang diberikan kepada bayi sejak dilahirkan selama enam bulan, tanpa menambahkan atau mengganti makanan atau minuman lain. Dalam laporan WHO disebutkan bahwa hampir 90% kematian balita terjadi di negara berkembang dan lebih dari 40% kematian disebabkan diare dan infeksi saluran pernapasan akut, yang dapat dicegah dengan ASI Eksklusif. Rendahnya pemberian ASI Eksklusif dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan ibu, paritas dan kurangnya informasi dari petugas kesehatan. Abstract

Breast cancer patients must undergo a series of therapies that take a long time with painful side effects. Fellow breast cancer sufferers are people who can provide psychological support to patients. Cancer patients need to get support from others to always motivate, encourage, motivate, control and assist cancer patients. Objective: This study aims to develop a model of empowerment of WhatsApp Group to Increase Optimism of Breast Cancer Survivors in Medan. Method: The type of research used is action research with 72 sample. There are 2 types of instruments for data collection, the focus group discussion (FGD) question guide and the Revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) instrument with cronbach alpha 0.95. The increase in optimism can be seen from the average score of optimism before and after research. Results: This research in the formation of the Whattsapps Group HFCC Community Group for posting positive things in the group. The results of the optimism assessment showed that 83% of participants had positive optimism after the webinar activity on tips and tricks "Successful controlling emotions with Optimism". This study has a significant positive impact on optimism before and after WhatsApp Group empowerment. Conclusions: Sharing positive experiences and information is very important to improve the optimization of fellow breast cancer patients in the WA Group that has been formed. In addition, family support is needed to continue to provide support in tasks and economic functions.
