Abstract

This activity is to determine the quality control of pastel products at the partner in May 2020 - April 2021. Sri Bakery is a home- business engaged in food processing since 1992. The resulting pastel products often suffer from product failures such as uneven shape, charring, and leaking of contents. The object of this activity is the number of production and the number of defective products in pastel products. Data were collected by direct interviews which were then processed and analyzed using the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method using statistical tools in the form of check sheets, histograms, pareto diagrams, scatter diagrams, p-charts, and fishbone diagrams. The results of data processing show that Sri Bakery is still within reasonable limits, but there needs to be corrective action to reduce failed products. On average pastels fail every month, reaching 5% of the total production produced. Actions that need to be taken to reduce product failure are that partner needs to use statistical methods to identify the category of defects and the factors that cause product failure to occur, besides that partner needs to make a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) so that the production process avoids errors.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri di era sekarang menuntut perusahaan agar selalu memperhatikan kualitas setiap produksinya, pengendlian kualitas produksi adalah aspek penting dalam menjamin keberhasilan pada proses produksi. Pt. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang furniture, adapun permasalahan yang dihadapi perusahaan ialah masih sering terjadi kecacatan produk yang dihasilkan dalam proses produksi diantaranya defect komponen renggang, defect ketebalan rangka berbeda. Pembuatan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggurangi defect. Metode seven tools digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab defect pada proses produksi sedangkan metode FMEA digunakan untuk melakukan upaya perbaikan. Dari hasil pengolahan data pada control chart terdapat kecacatan harian yang melebihi batas kendali, maka dari itu perlu dilakukan pengolahan menggunakan fishbone diagram hasil pengolahan didapatkan 8 indikator penyebab dari kedua jenis defect, dari 8 penyebab defect tersebut kemudian menentukan nilai RPN dengan mengalikan nilai severity, occurance dan detection. Pada hasil tersebut didapatkan nilai RPN tertinggi sebesar 252 yaitu indikator tempat penyimpanan bahan baku tergenang air.

Abstract

Small and medium industry engaged in fast food. Currently, the layout of the facilities at the production site is experiencing problems related to the distance of material movement. This study aims to redesign the layout of the facility and make suggestions to the trade business to minimize material movement to make it more comfortable and efficient. The method used in the process of redesigning the layout of the facility at UD. ARSHAINDO is to use the FTC (From To Chart) method. From To Chart is a method that can help to solve problems then described in more detail by going through several stages of completion to the maximum point. The results obtained from the From To Chart calculation with a total distance between departments of 36 meters (proposed layout), while the distance applied to UD. ARSHAINDO currently has a distance between departments of 56 meters (initial layout), therefore the proposed layout design has minimized the material transfer distance between departments by 20 meters so that it can produce a maximum layout and the production process is more efficient in terms of the distance between previous departments

Abstract

Batu bara merupakan bahan bakar yang tidak dapat diperbarui dan masih mendominasi peran sebagai bahan bakar utama Pembangkit Listrik di Indonesia. Sumber energi yang dapat diperbarui seperti matahari mulai dikembangkan sebagai alternatif. PLTS merupakan sistem yang mampu mengkonversi energi radiasi cahaya matahari menjadi listrik menggunakan modul semikonduktor fotovoltaik. Gedung Teknik Politeknik Negeri Jember memiliki PLTS di atapnya yang terdiri dari 4 kWp PLTS off-grid dan 6 kWp PLTS on-grid. Namun, hanya sistem off-grid sebesar 4 kWp saja yang sudah dioperasikan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan studi evaluasi pada PLTS off-grid terkait berdasarkan Panduan Studi Kelayakan PLTS dan IEC 61724. Pengujian dilakukan selama 3 hari mulai pukul 09.00 – 14.30 dengan interval 30 menit menggunakan 2 lampu halogen dengan total daya 800 W. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, PLTS memiliki nilai efisiensi PV 43 %, inverter 92 %, SCC 95 %, dan rasio performansi 44%. Selama proses pengujian tidak didapati kendala yang fatal dan kondisi fisik komponen secara keseluruhan baik. Optimasi yang dapat dilakukan adalah maintenance seperti cleaning secara berkala, penambahan perangkat monitoring seperti pyranometer yang terintegrasi dengan sistem PLTS untuk memudahkan pemantauan sistem. Untuk meningkatkan efisiensi modul surya, penambahan alat pembuang panas pada modul atau sistem pendinginan dapat dilakukan.

Abstract

Industri manufaktur IKM di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan pesat, tetapi perlu meningkatkan daya saing melalui pengendalian kualitas untuk memastikan keberlanjutan bisnis dan kepuasan pelanggan. Penerapan pengendalian kualitas seringkali terbatas pada IKM, sehingga perlu dilakukan optimalisasi peralatan mesin, mendiagnosis kesalahan, dan mengambil tindakan pencegahan atau korektif untuk meminimalkan kegagalan dan meningkatkan kualitas. Metode FMEA dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kegagalan, memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan, dan menilai risiko kecacatan produk berdasarkan tingkat keparahan, probabilitas terjadinya, dan deteksi kegagalan. Melalui penerapan FMEA, perusahaan UD Abdi Rakyat berharap dapat mengurangi cacat produk, meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan, dan meningkatkan daya saing melalui perbaikan terus-menerus dan mitigasi risiko yang komprehensif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat tiga jenis kecacatan yang sering terjadi pada produk, yaitu potongan tidak presisi, potongan grepes, dan ukuran tidak sesuai. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa 3 faktor yaitu manusia, metode, dan mesin teridentifikasi sebagai faktor utama penyebab kegagalan. Kegagalan potongan grepes memiliki risiko kegagalan tertinggi dengan nilai RPN 343, sedangkan potongan tidak presisi dan ukuran tidak sesuai memiliki risiko yang lebih rendah. Adapun usulan perbaikan telah diusulkan untuk mengatasi 3 faktor utama tersebut.

Abstract

Operational risk is the non-functioning of a system, human resources, technology, etc. which causes deviations due to non-conformity from what is expected. Many factors cause operational risks to occur. In this research, a case study of convection operational risks, there are risks that cause financial losses to the company. By analyzing risks, risk-causing factors, and mitigation techniques, the House of Risk method is used in this study to identify hazards in convection operations. There are 12 risk agents with 20 identified causes, resulting in 12 priority strategies, namely looking for closer suppliers, holding meetings with company operations/coordinating using language/actions that are easy to understand, creating appropriate K3 SOP, maintaining every tool used, placing orders. via telephone, carrying out selection with experts for each worker, assessing the reasons behind delays and putting new plans in place to schedule the delivery of goods, enforcing severe rules against those who break them, getting the company's diesel engines ready, creating a list of design drawings that have been submitted and those that haven't, Creating and altering design creation processes

Abstract

Abstract: Storage Optimization at PT. XYZ Through Class Blased Storage and ABC Classification. This research aims to make the process of picking up goods according to their type easier, so that the distance to transport materials is shorter than before. In addition, this placement allows each type of item to be stored in the spare parts warehouse, so that when it is picked up, the item can be fully used. This research collects data through observation, support and interviews. The results of blased class storage place items in groups according to their category type. Goods with fast movement, for example, are placed closer to the exit, and goods with slow movement, for example, are placed further to the entrance. workers during the material movement process. The results of the ABC classification are 19 types of goods in category A, 3 types of goods in category B, and 1 type of goods in category C. The ABC category is created by sorting all the frequencies of goods from the highest value, as well as calculating cumulative and frequency percentages. By comparing the initial layout with the proposed layout, data processing resulted in a total reduction of Rp. 6,733,000/month to Rp. 3,738,000/month. Therefore, it can be concluded that the problem of storing goods in the PT warehouse. XYZ can be solved using a storage optimization policy that uses the class blased storage method and ABC classification.
