Abstract

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) in Indonesia is an important agricultural commodity after soybean, which has a strategic role in the national food system as a source of protein and vegetable oil. Chili (Capsicum annum L.) is a horticultural commodity with good prospects. The community widely uses it as a cooking spice, an ingredient in traditional medicine, and a mixture in the food industry. The insertion of chili plants into peanut plantations will increase the effectiveness and efficiency of nutrient utilization from the given manure and have a positive economic impact. This study aimed to determine the effect of doses of goat manure and the insertion of chilies on the growth and yield of peanut plants in the intercropping system of intercropping plants. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) with two factors. The dosage of manure with three levels D1 = 2.5 kg goat manure, D2 = 5.0 kg goat manure, and D3 = 7.5 kg goat manure as the first factor, and the insertion of chili plants at the following levels: S0 = monoculture and  S1 = relay cropping with chili as the second factor. The results showed an interaction between the treatments of various doses of goat manure (D) and the addition of plant inserts (S) on plant height aged 56 days after planting, fresh weight, dry weight, and peanut weight. The treatment of various doses of goat manure was not significantly different in all parameters except plant height 42 days after planting. Treatments of chili as relay cropping were not significantly different on all parameters except the weight of 100 peanut seeds. The higher dose of manure causes a decrease in the production of peanuts, which are inserted into the chili plants, but the amount of goat manure can increase the leaf area of the staple peanut plant but has no impact on the total growth/plant dry weight.

Abstract

Processed Product Skills Improvement Program are carried out by empowering women in soybean sorting groups. The women of RT 02 RW 02 Sambirejo Village, Saradan District, and Madiun Regency have only participated in a partnership program with PT Unilever as sorters. Experience and skills as a sorter have yet to follow the knowledge about the added value of soybeans as a processed product. This program aims to increase the knowledge and skills of the sorting group in producing processed products. The service method uses socialization and counseling on post-harvest management, training, mentoring, and monitoring the manufacture of processed soy sauce products. The results of program implementation show that program activities were carried out well. Discussion activities, program evaluation, counseling, and mentoring can increase members' knowledge and ability to make processed soy sauce products independently. Processed products can meet the family's nutritional needs and commercially can increase income and, in the future, make Sambirejo Village a soy sauce production center.

Nevertheless, some challenges were found in the implementation of legal socialization, such as limited resources and lack of support from related parties. The legal repercussions that teenagers may face include criminal penalties, fines, and long-term consequences related to criminal records. Therefore, this study highlights the important role of schools in conveying information about online gambling-related laws to adolescents, as well as emphasizing the need for greater support from schools, government and other relevant institutions to increase the effectiveness of prevention efforts. Abstract

The yard has the potential to be developed optimally to support family life used for food crops, vegetables, fruit plants, biopharmaceutical plants, livestock, and fish. In addition to meeting  food and nutritional needs, it also has the potential to increase household income if designed and planned correctly. Efforts to increase family income and health can be made by cultivating biopharmaceutical plants, including ginger. Ginger plants can be grown in the yard with a Bag Culture system that is easy to maintain. Ginger plants benefit herbal drinks and can be made into various processed products with a modern touch. Community service activities start in December 2024 and run through March 2025   The activity method uses the housewises approach and field meetings to demonstrate Bag Culture cultivation systems and training in making processed products. Mentoring is carried out during the activity, and a productive yard with ginger plants is produced at the beginning of this community service program. The harvest of ginger rhizomes is used for training materials for making processed products and as a supplier of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise) to support the program to revive and develop village MSMEs.

Abstract

If the yard is well maintained, it will provide an attractive, comfortable, healthy environment that makes us feel at home. We can utilize our yard according to our tastes and desires by planting productive plants such as ornamental plants, fruits, vegetables, spices, and medicines. Having your own business is one alternative solution that can be chosen. Homemakers who have an independent business outside of their main task of taking care of the family and utilizing their free time can also help their husbands fill the family's coffers. In addition, the yard can have an impact on education that can increase knowledge in the field of subjects, especially biology. Efforts to optimize the use and management of yards require the application of the concept of yard management as a sustainable urban agricultural area. Community service activities were carried out at six “KP2L”  locations in Madiun, using lecture methods and short training. The results of the activities showed an open view of the function of urban yards even though they were not supported by adequate land area. Introduction to soil-free cultivation techniques such as hydroponics, hydroponics, and aquaponics is very interesting to practice. Likewise, managing household organic waste into organic fertilizer is an interesting discourse that has great potential to be put into practice
