Abstract

The popularity of natural ingredient-based cosmetics is increasing in tandem with growing consumer awareness of the long-term effects of chemicals on skin and the environment. This activity focuses on the utilization of moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) as a raw material for skincare products, specifically body scrub, in Ie Masen Village, Ulee Kareng Sub-District, Banda Aceh. Moringa leaves are renowned for their high antioxidant content and nutritional value, positioning them as potential agents for effective anti-aging and skincare. The objective of this activity is to enhance community knowledge and engagement regarding the use of moringa leaves as a raw material for skincare products, particularly body scrub. The research methodology includes observation, interviews, and discussions with local communities. This activity encompassed socialization, product trials, and evaluation of a body scrub that combines moringa leaves, rice flour, turmeric, and lemon. The findings indicated that the moringa leaf body scrub can improve community awareness of natural ingredient utilization and has the potential to become a micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME). This activity was positively received by the community, , and the evaluation results demonstrated that this product is effective in exfoliation and skincare. In conclusion, this activity contributes to the development of natural beauty products that support sustainability and skin health.

Abstract

The development of technology, particularly the use of e-money, is something that cannot be avoided. Digital wallets are used by all segments of society across many service and goods providers. Of course, the use of digital wallets and financial decisions must be made carefully. Therefore, the concept of mental accounting can help determine spending decisions to meet needs, especially household needs. Religion serves as a guide in daily life. Thus, the level of religiosity can influence the scale of spending decisions within households. The aim of this study is to examine the impact of digital wallets and religiosity on mental accounting concerning family welfare. This research employs reliability tests, validity tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple regression tests. Religiosity influences mental accounting. Individuals with strong religious beliefs tend to manage their finances more wisely. Their financial decisions will be made in accordance with sound religious teachings. Digital wallets do not have an impact on mental accounting.

Abstract

Students enrolled in Informatics Engineering Education programs frequently encounter substantial obstacles in mastering Discrete Mathematics, a fundamental subject that necessitates perseverance, logical reasoning, and effective study strategies. These challenges are often compounded by negative perceptions of mathematics, lack of perseverance in learning, and ineffective study habits. In this context, it is imperative to investigate non-cognitive factors that may influence students’ academic performance (SAP), such as mathematics resilience (MR), attitudes and learning habits (ALH), and gender. This study endeavours to examine the extent to which MR, ALH, and gender contribute to SAP in Discrete Mathematics. A quantitative ex post facto correlational design was employed, involving a sample of 50 third-semester students selected through proportional random sampling methods. Data were collected using standardised questionnaires assessing MR and ALH, along with academic records from the targeted course. The findings indicate that both MR and ALH significantly influence students’ academic performance. Among these factors, ALH emerged as the most influential contributor to academic success. In contrast, gender did not have any substantial impact on students’ achievement. These results emphasize the significance of non-cognitive factors—particularly resilience and effective learning behaviors—in supporting students’ success in mathematics-related coursework.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of dynamic governance in accelerating stunting reduction in Sumedang Regency, West Java, with a focus on the mechanisms of sensing, seizing, and transforming as well as the orchestration of multi-actor collaboration. This research is important because stunting remains a critical challenge for Indonesia in achieving the 14% target by 2024, while existing studies are mostly dominated by medical and nutritional perspectives rather than governance aspects. The study employed a qualitative research approach with a case study design, in which data were collected through in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Sumedang possesses strong dynamic governance capabilities: (1) sensing through data-driven policies utilizing Riskesdas and e-PPGBM, (2) seizing through adaptive regulations and cross-sectoral coordination with Regent Regulation No. 82/2018 and the implementation of the Eight Convergence Actions, and (3) transforming through institutional innovation with the SIMPATI platform and the establishment of a permanent stunting task force. These capabilities are strengthened by the collaborative roles of local government, NGOs, village administrations, health cadres, and the private sector. The integration of digital governance and participatory mechanisms has enabled Sumedang to successfully reduce stunting prevalence from 32.2% in 2019 to 27.6% in 2022, and further to 7.89% in 2023. The implications of this study affirm that dynamic governance can serve as a replicable model for other regions to overcome bureaucratic rigidity, strengthen cross-sectoral partnerships, and enhance evidence-based decision-making in public health policy. The originality of this research lies in positioning stunting reduction not merely as a health intervention but as an innovation in adaptive governance, thereby filling the gap in the literature that rarely discusses the intersection of governance, technology, and community participation in public health policy.
