Abstract

This study aims to map the condition of land where sago plant grows, to determine the suitability level of sago plant land and to describe the potential of sago and sago consumption patterns by the community. The method used in this research is survey method with distance observation free survey and pit profile observation type. The condition of the land where sago plants grow is quite good. The types of sago found are sagu tuni (Metroxylon rumphii Mart.), Sagu Ihur (Metroxylon sylvestre Mart.) And sagu molat (Metroxylon sagu Rottb.). The size of sago palm in Rumahkay Village is 55.5 Ha, the average number of cutting trees (MT) 24 trees / Ha / yr with average production of wet starch per tree sebesr 700 kg. Total dry starch production at the study site was 449.55 tons. The pattern of community consumption of sago 10 percent, the combination of sago, tuber and banana by 20 percent, the combination of sago, tubers, bananas and rice by 55 percent and rice 10 percent. Types of confectionery and food based sago starch consumed is papeda, sago plate, sinoli and karu-karu. Frequency and time to eat sago as main food and food complement of 65% is as much as 2 times in a day that is time of morning and afternoon. Then 3 times as much as 25% and once as much as 10%. In general, people who consume sago once a day is at breakfast or afternoon in the form of snacks (sago plate, sinoli, karu-karu). Keywords: condition, land, sago ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kondisi lahan tempat tumbuh tumbuhan sagu, menetapkan tingkat kesesuaian lahan tumbuhan sagu serta mendeskripsikan potensi sagu dan pola konsumsi sagu oleh masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan jarak observasi survei bebas dan tipe observasi profil pit. Kondisi lahan tempat tumbuh tumbuhan sagu tergolong baik. Jenis sagu yang ditemukan adalah sagu Tuni (Metroxylon rumphii Mart.), sagu Ihur (Metroxylon sylvestre Mart.) dan sagu Molat (Metroxylon sagu Rottb.). Luas lahan sagu di Desa Rumahkay adalah 55,5 Ha, rata-rata jumlah pohon masak tebang (MT) 24 pohon/Ha/thn dengan rata-rata produksi pati basah per pohon sebesr 700 kg. Total produksi pati kering pada lokasi penelitian adalah 449,55 ton. Pola konsumsi masyarakat terhadap sagu 10 persen, kombinasi sagu, umbian dan pisang sebesar 20 persen, kombinasi sagu, umbian, pisang dan beras sebesar 55 persen serta beras 10 persen. Jenis penganan dan pangan berbahan dasar pati sagu yang dikonsumsi adalah papeda, sagu lempeng, sinoli dan karu-karu. Frekwensi dan waktu makan sagu sebagai pangan utama maupun pangan pelengkap sebesar 65% adalah sebanyak 2 kali dalam sehari yaitu waktu pagi dan siang. Kemudian 3 kali sebanyak 25% dan satu kali sebanyak 10%. Pada umumnya mereka yang mengkonsumsi sagu satu kali dalam sehari adalah pada saat sarapan pagi atau sore hari dalam bentuk penganan (sagu lempeng, sinoli, karu-karu). Abstract

Research has been conducted with the aim of mapping a potential landslide of soil that is alleged to be happening on a national road development area on the island of North Maluku Sanana island because in some locations excavations or cutting slope were conducted for build trails. Research was done by survey method, by analysis of land as well as the analysis of soil samples in the laboratory against some physical-chemical soil parameters to predict the potential for landslide of soil. The results showed that in the developed area of national roads, there were some points or locations with the potential landslide. However, by cutting slope of landslide the potential became greater, things which would be very threatening road users on the sections of the road that passes through the hilly and mountainous regions. The cutting slopes have been disturbing the equilibrium slope stability or lower slopes so the landslide is easy to happen. Mitigation efforts can be done by building a retaining structure at the foot of the slopes, the angle of the cutting slope made slightly sloping and in the upper part land use should be preserved and enriched with plant conservation to improve the stability of slopes. Keywords: a potential avalanche of soil, national road, slope stability ABSTRAK Penelitian telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memetakan potensi longsoran tanah yang diduga akan terjadi pada kawasan pengembangan jalan nasional di Pulau Sanana Maluku Utara karena di beberapa lokasi dilakukan penggalian atau pemotongan lereng untuk membangun jalur jalan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey dengan analisis lahan serta analisis sampel tanah di laboratorium terhadap beberapa parameter fisik-kimia tanah untuk memprediksi potensi longsoran tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kawasan ruas jalan nasional yang dikembangkan terdapat beberapa titik atau lokasi dengan potensi longsoran tergolong sedang. Namun dengan adanya pemotongan lereng maka potensi longsoran menjadi semakin besar, hal mana akan sangat mengancam pengguna jalan di ruas-ruas jalan yang melewati kawasan berbukit dan bergunung. Pemotongan lereng telah mengganggu keseimbangan lereng atau menurunkan stabilitas lereng sehingga longsoran mudah terjadi. Upaya mitigasi dapat dilakukan dengan membangun struktur penahan di kaki lereng, sudut pemotongan lereng dibuat landai dan penggunaan lahan di bagian atas lereng harus dipertahankan dan diperkayadengan tanaman konservasi untuk meningkatkan stabilitas lereng yang sudah terganggu. Abstract

s study aims to identify the characteristics of the soil that develops on sago land with different inundation conditions and determine the type of soil on sago land with different inundation conditions. The method used is survey method. Determination of the observation points of the soil profile at the study site was based on inundation conditions obtained through interviews with sago processing farmers at the study site. Soil characteristics on permanently flooded land are dominated by the color of glei wAhich has undergone a reduction process. On land with periodic inundation conditions that undergo an oxidation-reduction process is dominated by motling colors and in non-flooded conditions no glei or motling colors are found. In conditions of permanent inundation and periodic inundation, no identifying horizon has been found except in non-flooded conditions, a cambic (Bw) identifying horizon has been found. The dominant soil formation factors are climate (rainfall) and topography. Rainfall and topography affect the depth of groundwater and inundation. The soil formation process that occurs is the gleization process in Gleisol soils and the leaching process occurs in Kambisol soils. Differences in soil types due to differences in inundation conditions are not yet clear, but the differences in soil types are clear, namely Gleisol hydrik (Typic hydraquents), Gleisol district (Typic epiaquepts) and Gleisol fluvik (Fluvaquentic epiaquepts) and Cambisol oxic (Typic dsytrudepts).

Abstract

Soil characteristics in sago land show hydro-morphic character as well as gleization symptoms because it is periodically influenced by wet and dry conditions. Differences in soil characteristics formed are observed under sago stands in different inundation conditions and their effect on the units of soil formed. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the soil under the sago stand in various conditions of inundation. The survey and sampling were conducted at four sample locations and observed three different environmental conditions: not inundated, permanently inundated, and temporarily inundated. The results showed that there were significant differences between the four research sample locations, both soil and hydrological parameters, such as the number of layers, soil texture, soil color, pH, soil consistency, organic matter, and inundation conditions. This characteristic affected the soil under the sago standing environment. The condition of the depth of groundwater was rather deep, and the inundation was temporarily stagnant. Thus according to the observations, there was not too significant a difference from the soils; only differences in the production of sago plants were found.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to identify morphological characteristics, clay mineral composition and soil similarity index between two soil profiles at the IAIN campus. The results showed that soil color characteristics of soil layers of both soils are different. Both soil profiles have deep solums with loam to sandy loam texture distribution. The increasing of clay content in the B horizon of both soil profiles is still weak as indicated by the present of a Bw (kambik) horizon. Soil structure is a subangular blocky with fine to coarse sizes and weak to strong structural development. Soil consistency is slightly sticky to sticky. Cation exchange capacity is very low as indicated by low Ca dan Na, medium to high Mg and high Na soil exchangeable cations. The dominant clay mineral in both soil profiles is kaolonit, which is formed by unwell-consolidated weathering materials mixed with weathering-resistant quartz. The silt/clay ratio and CEC values shows similarity between layers between both profiles, however, the Ca/Mg ratio shows dissimilarity. Abstract

Adanya kecenderungan terjadinya perubahan curah hujan dalam periode belakangan ini dibandingkan dengan periode sebelumnya, maka berapa besar perubahan curah hujan yang sudah terjadi perlu dianalisis untuk mengetahui kondisi iklim terkini. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka telah dilakukan suatu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menentukan tren perubahan curah hujan dan memetakan Zona Agroklimat Oldeman Pulau Seram yang baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan data curah hujan 60 tahun yang dibagi menjadi 2 periode, yaitu 1962-1991 dan 1992-2021. Pengumpulan data curah hujan bersumber dari berbagai Stasiun Meteorologi yang ada saat ini dan Stasiun Hujan yang pernah ada di Pulau Seram serta melalui pembangkitan data curah hujan menggunakan persamaan matematis sederhana. Analisis tren perubahan curah hujan dilakukan dengan membandingkan nilai rata-rata curah hujan antara dua periode. Penentuan zona agroklimat menggunakan sistem klasifikasi iklim Oldeman dan pemetaannya menggunakan Program Arc View 3.3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan curah hujan rata-rata tahunan di Pulau Seram dalam 30 tahun terakhir (periode 1992-2021) dibandingkan dengan 30 tahun sebelumnya (periode 1962-1991), yaitu sebesar 18,0% pada wilayah dengan pola hujan monsunal dan 12,2% pada wilayah dengan pola hujan lokal. Berdasarkan sistem klasifikasi iklim Oldeman, di Pulau Seram terdapat 4 zone agroklimat, yaitu A1, B1, C1 dan D1.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to categorize the soil fertility status in Teluk Elpaputih District, Central Maluku Regency. This case study uses the National soil classification system and Soil Taxonomy. The study area is placed on flat-wavy physiography (slopes 0–15 %) by the flexible observation method of the grid. In order to ensure the ground association, observation lines are 800 meters apart and checking paths are located every 400 meters. According to the National Soil Classification System, four types of soil are found: Regosol, Alluvial, Gleisol, and Cambisol. The equivalent of Soil Taxonomy has two orders Entisol and Inceptisol, four suborders Psamment, Aquent, Fluvent, Udepts, four great group Udipasmments, Hydraquents, Udifluvents, Dystrudepts, and four subgoups Aquic Udipasmments, Typic Hydraquents, Typic Udifluvents, and Oxic In addition, the soil fertility status in the study area units ranged from low to high, namely PL0G1 (high), PL0G2 (medium) land units, PL0G3 (medium), and UL1G3 (low).

Abstract

Wilayah kecamatan Kei Kecil Timur merupakan sentra utama komoditi bawang merah di Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara. Berdasarkan informasi dari Dinas Pertanian dan Dinas Perdagangan Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara, diperoleh gambaran bahwa sekitar 30 – 50 persen stok bawang merah di pasar kabupaten tiap tahunnya berasal dari Kecamatan Kei Kecil Timur. Pada kondisi tertentu ketika panen berlebihan, komdoiti bawang merah dari desa/ohoi ini tidak saja dijual di pasar kabupaten tetapi juga pasar lainnya seperti Ambon, Papua, dan daerah lainnya di Maluku. Kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa, hingga saat ini kontribusi komoditi bawang merah bagi peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat tani di desa/ohoi ini belum optimal. Permasalahannya adalah pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam kegiatan usaha tani bawang merah relatif masih rendah; disamping akses petani terhadap alsintan dan sarana prasarana produksi serta sistem manajemen usaha tani yang relatif masih terbatas. tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang karakteristik dan kualitas lahan yang sesuai untuk budidaya tanaman bawang merah di desa/ohoi Abean.

Abstract

Research on Land Evaluation for Residential Development in the Telaga Kodok Hamlet area has been conducted with the aim of determining the suitability classes of residential land and identifying limiting factors. The land characteristics studied include slope, effective depth, flooding and ponding, drainage, rock, and soil texture. The weight of each characteristic was analyzed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The analysis results indicate that there are 112.07 hectares (29.94%) of highly suitable residential zones, 166.67 hectares (44.53%) of moderately suitable zones with limiting factors such as moderate depth, poor drainage, and fine texture; 92.03 hectares (24.59%) of marginally suitable residential zones with limiting factors like steep slopes and fine texture; and 3.55 hectares (0.94%) of zones unsuitable for residential development.

Abstract

Abstrak Masyarakat pesisir memiliki beragam usaha untuk memenuhi kebutuhan rumahtangga. Posisi pesisir memudahkan usaha sebagai nelayan, walau pun kondisi etrsebut tidak dapat dipastikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Masyarakat pesisir berdasarkan sumber penghidupan. Deskriptif kualitatif menjadi pilihan pendekatan penelitian. Data penelitian memberikan gambaran 26,5 % penerimaan rumahtangga disumbangkan sektor perikanan, sedangkan sektor jasa turut menyumbang 28,2 %. Sisanya disumbangkan oleh sektor pertanian.. Pilihan strategi nafkah yang dipustuskan rumahtangga adalah memanfaatkan dua sumber nafkah, kemudian tiga sumber nafkah dan satu sumber nafkah. Rumahtangga yang memanfatkan lebih banyak sumber nafkah lebih mampu bertahan menghadapi pasang surutnya usaha dibandingkan dengan rumahtangga yang memanfaatkan sedikit sumber nafkah. Kata kunci : sumber nafkah, strategi nafkah, Masyarakat pesisir Abstract Coastal communities have a variety of businesses to meet household needs. The coastal position makes it easier to do business as a fisherman, even though the condition cannot be ascertained. This study aims to analyze coastal communities based on their sources of livelihood. Qualitative descriptive is the choice of research approach. The research data provides an overview of 26.5% of household receipts contributed by the fisheries sector, while the service sector also contributed 28.2%. The rest is contributed by the agricultural sector. The choice of the maintenance strategy decided by the household is to utilize two sources of livelihood, then three sources of livelihood and one source of livelihood. Households that utilize more sources of livelihood are better able to survive the ups and downs of business compared to households that utilize few sources of income.
