Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menemukan pengaruh penguasaan kosakata terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris, untuk untuk mengidentifikasi dan menemukan pengaruh sikap berbahasa terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris, dan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menemukan pengaruh penguasaan kosakata dan sikap berbahasa secara bersama-sama terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif, melalui survei pada mahasiswa/i. Sampel sebanyak 72 siswa/i diambil dari jumlah populasi yang ada. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes. Analisis data menggunakan statistika deskriptif, koefisien korelasi ganda Pearson, koefisien determinasi korelasi dan analisa regresi. Uji statistik dipergunakan uji t dan uji F. Kegiatan penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai bulan september 2018 sampai juni 2019. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penguasaan kosakata (X1) terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris mahasiswa/i semester I STBA JIA (Y), dan (2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan sikap berbahasa (X2) terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris mahasiswa/i semester I STBA JIA (Y), dan (3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penguasaan kosakata (X1) dan sikap berbahasa (X2) terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris mahasiswa/i semester I STBA JIA (Y).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) menilai keakuratan terjemahan istilah bisnis pada Company Regulation and Code of Ethic PT. Young Living Indonesia; 2) menilai keberterimaan terjemahan istilah bisnis pada Company Regulation and Code of Ethic PT. Young Living Indonesia; 3) menilai keterbacaan terjemahan istilah bisnis pada Company Regulation and Code of Ethic PT. Young Living Indonesia. Metode Penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Penilaian kualitas berdasarkan aspek keakuratan, keberterimaan, dan keterbacaan dari Nababan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah teridentifikasi sebanyak 49 data, istilah bisnis berupa kata dan frasa. Setelah dinilai per kategori dan mendapatkan skor rata-rata, ditemukan bahwa aspek keakuratan dengan jumlah skor 147, dengan rata-rata 3. Aspek keberterimaaan jumlah skor 140 dengan rata-rata 2,86. Aspek keterbacaan jumlah skor 140 dengan rata-rata 2,86. Kata kunci: Istilah Bisnis, Penerjemahan, Kualitas Terjemahan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the translation strategy of the Phrasal Verb in the novel The Devil All the Time. The theory used in this study is the kinds of phrasal verb from Wyatt and theory of Baker for the translation strategy. This study used qualitative descriptive method. The result of the study showed that: there are five phrasal verb found in this novel, namely, 15 intransitive phrasal verb(48,38%), 9 transitive phrasal verb where the object can come in one of two positions (29,03%), 2 transitive phrasal verbs where the object must come between the verb and the particle (6,45%), 3 transitive phrasal verbs where the object must come after the verb and the particle (9,67%), 2 transitive phrasal verbs with two object, one object is between verb and particle and the other one after the particle (6,45%);there are 4 types of translation strategies used by the translators of this novel, namely, data 9 translation by a more general word (29,03%), 14 translations by a more neutral/less expressive word (45,17%), 6 translations by paraphrase using a related word (19,35%), 2 translations by paraphrase using unrelated words (6,45%).
