Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in increasing student motivation at SMAN 2 TOLITOLI during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach with observation, interview and documentation procedures. This research was conducted at SMAN 2 TOLITOLI, which is located on Students  street of 5 Tambun Village, Baolan District. The subjects of this study were one school principal, two educators at SMAN 2 TOLITOLI and two students at SMAN 2 TOLITOLI. The results showed that: the role of teachers at SMAN 2 TOLITOLI in increasing student learning motivation during the COVID-19 pandemic has played a role, can be seen through varied and interesting learning activities by utilizing learning media and selecting the right method so that student achievement is maintained and students will remain confident to pursue the goals you want to achieve. Through interesting learning activities and the awarding given based on rankings will spur student motivation to study hard. Not only in the process of learning the role of teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic, it leads to providing motivation to maintain a good environment to avoid the COVID-19 virus.Keywords :Student Learning Motivation, The Role of Teachers

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Bagaimana efektifitas kinerja guru bersertifikasi di salah satu Sekolah Dasar (SD) yang ada di Kabupaten Tolitoli dan mengidentifikasi  faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat kinerja guru di sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun teknik yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data antara lain wawancara, observasi serta dokumentasi. Adapun subjek dari penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Guru Agama, Guru Olahraga, Guru Kelas dan 2 orang siswa. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru bersertifikasi di sekolah tersebut belum dapat dikatakan efektif dan masih perlu ditingkatkan. Selain itu, faktor pendukung yang ditemui dalam penelitian ini adalah lingkungan belajar yang nyaman, dukungan yang besar dari kepala sekolah dan tunjangan sertifikasi sedangkan untuk faktor penghambat yang ditemui adalah keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana dalam pembelajaran, kurangnya kemampuan guru bersertifikasi dalam penguasaan teknologi.Kata Kunci: efektivitas, kinerja, guru, sertifikasi

Abstract

This research aims to find out how teachers try to overcome learning difficulties reading grade 1 students of SDN Sandana, Galang Tolitoli District. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of this study were first grade teachers and first graders. The data collection in this study is using interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the teacher's efforts in overcoming the difficulty of learning to read grade 1 students are providing additional lessons, providing homework and providing motivation to learn to read. Abstract

Guru memegang peran utama dalam pembangunan pendidikan, khususnya yang di selenggarakan secara formal di sekolah. Guru juga sangat menentukan keberhasilan peserta didik, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan proses mengajar. Guru merupakan komponen yang paling berpengaruh terhadap terciptanya proses dan hasil pendidikan yang berkualitas. Oleh karena itu, upaya perbaikan apapun yang di lakukan uuntuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tidak akan memberikan sumbangan yang signifikan tanpa di dukung oleh guru yang profesional dan berkualitas.Mutu sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh keberadaan guru yang berkualitas yang mencakup dan menekankan pada tiga kemampuan, yaitu kemampuan akademik, kemampuan keterampilan, dan kemampuan sosial moral. mutu sekolah ditentukan oleh tiga variabel, yakni kultur sekolah, proses belajar mengajar dan realitas sekolah. Kultur sekolah merupakan nilai-nilai, kebiasaan-kebiasaan,upacara, slogan, dan berbagai perilaku yang terbentuk di sekolah dan diteruskan dari satu angkatan ke angkatan berikutnya baik secara sadar maupun tidak. Oleh karena itu, upaya perbaikan apapun yang di lakukan uuntuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tidak akan memberikan sumbangan yang signifikan tanpa di dukung oleh guru yang profesional dan berkualitas. Dengan kata lain, perbaikan kualitas pendidikan harus berpangkal dari guru, berujung pada guru pula demi tercapainya mutu pendidikan yang baik.

Abstract

Motivation is one of the things that influences student learning success. Without motivation, the learning process will be difficult to achieve success. This research aims to determine the effect of using the Trigger feature of Power Point media on the learning motivation of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli. This researcher used a type of quantitative research. The method used in this research was the Pre Experiment or experimental research method, the research subjects were students at SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli class VIII. The instruments in this research are observation, questionnaires and documentation. As for the results of this research, there is a positive and significant influence. Based on the data that has been collected and tests that have been carried out using product moment correlation from the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program, the average calculated R value is R Table based on test results significance 0.5. The correlation coefficient value (calculated r) for each variable shows that the correlation value between the item scores and the total item score for the 6 questions has a correlation value that is greater than the correlation value of the r table at a significance level of 0.05 with degrees of freedom df (N-K)/30-2 =28). So the results can be concluded that there is a difference in the average results of student learning motivation between the learning model using power point media with trigger features and the conventional model.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertema “Pengenalan Artikel Jurnal Ilmiah” bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi akademik di kalangan guru melalui pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara daring dan diikuti oleh sekitar 50 guru MGMP dari Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur. Materi mencakup struktur penulisan artikel, kaidah ilmiah, dan strategi publikasi di jurnal terakreditasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa para peserta tidak hanya memperoleh pemahaman konseptual, tetapi juga keterampilan praktis dalam penulisan ilmiah. Antusiasme tinggi ditunjukkan melalui partisipasi aktif dan minat untuk memulai publikasi. Kegiatan ini membuktikan efektivitas pendekatan pelatihan untuk membangun budaya akademik di lingkungan guru serta mendorong mereka menjadi kontributor aktif dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan melalui publikasi ilmiah.

Abstract

Literacy skills, especially reading, are a crucial foundation for successful learning in elementary schools. However, low reading interest remains a challenge, including at SDN Kabinuang, where most third-grade students prefer playing over reading. To address this issue, a literacy program was implemented using varied teaching media, including an educational film on anti-bullying, word search activities, and word puzzles. The program took place on July 25, 2025, at SDN Kabinuang, Dampal Utara District, Tolitoli Regency. The film provided a visual understanding of bullying issues, while the word search and puzzles trained concentration, logical thinking, and vocabulary enrichment. The results indicated increased student participation, learning enthusiasm, and positive attitudes toward reading. The use of varied media proved effective in creating an interactive and enjoyable learning environment while instilling positive moral values. This program aligns with the National Literacy Movement and is expected to serve as a model for effective literacy implementation in elementary schools to develop intelligent, critical, and competitive young generations in the information era.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes to the field of education, including teaching methods and learning media. Teachers are required to possess adequate digital skills to create interactive learning experiences that are relevant to the needs of the 21st century. However, many teachers in rural areas still lack the ability to optimally utilize interactive learning media. This community service activity aimed to improve teachers’ digital skills through training on the use of Wordwall as an interactive learning medium. The activity was conducted at SDN 3 Malala, Dondo Subdistrict, Tolitoli Regency, involving eight participants consisting of classroom teachers and subject teachers. The implementation methods included interactive lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, mentoring, and evaluation. The results showed an increase in teachers’ knowledge and skills in creating and implementing Wordwall-based learning media. Teachers found the media easy to use, flexible, and effective in enhancing students’ learning motivation and participation. This program is expected to serve as a model for digital skills training for teachers in other schools, especially in areas with limited access to technology training.
