Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compare the efficiency of reproductive performance Friesian Holstein (FH) in various lactation periods. The material used in this research is obtained from the records of reproductive performance Friesian Holstein (FH) cattle from Australia and has been developed in PT. Greenfield Indonesia farm. Datas were using 473 heads dairy cattle these were 100 heads for each lactation period I up to IV and 73 heads for lactation period V. The variable measured were efficiency of reproductive include service per conception (S/C); days open (DO) and calving interval (CI). The datas were analyzed using Completely Randomize Design one-way analyzes of variance (one way lay out) and if the result showed differences, the research will be continued using Least Significant Difference (LSD). The results showed that the higher lactation period of dairy cattle the greater the S/C, DO and CI (P<0.01). In lactation period I and II earned S/C value 2.6±1.3 and 2.1±1.1 were lower than lactation period III, IV and V which earned value 3.7±2.0; 4.2±2.1 and 4.1±2.3. DO in lactation I and II as118.3±49.7 days and 97.6±35.1 days were lower than lactation period III, IV, and V is 153.5±65.8 days;  168.2±81.5 days and 59.2±74.7 days. The lower CI was in period lactation II 365.8±36.9 days compared with lactation period III, IV  and V as 393.8±54.5 days; 406.1±78.3 days and 401.3±65.1 days. Conclusion of this research was lactation period has an effect on the performance of FH dairy reproduction, the higher of lactation period would increase S/C, DO and CI. Keywords : Calving Interval, Days Open, Friesian Holstein Cattle, Lactation Period, Service Per Conception.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between lactation period, BCS and chest circumference with milk production of Friesian Holstein dairy cattle. The material used 36 dairy cattles period 3, 4, and 5. This research has conducted in farm KPSP Setia Kawan, Nongkojajar, Pasuruan on 20 July - 20 October 2022. The method used in this research was case study. The data collection technique in this study was purposive sampling. The variables observed were period lactation, BCS, chest circumference and milk production. Data obtained were analyzed by using correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis. The result showing that the linier regression equation between lactation period and milk production shows Y= 43.82 – 4.72X1 with a correlation coefficient negative is 0.65 and for the coefficient of determination is 42.3%, the meaning that for every increase 1 time of the lactation period, milk production will decrease 4.72 liters. The linier regression equation between BCS and milk production shows Y= 4.06 + 8.35X2 with a correlation coefficient positive is 0.70 and the coefficient of determination is 49.7%, the meaning is BCS that for every increase 1 score of the BCS, milk production will incrase 8.35 liters. The linier regression equation between chest circumference with milk production shows Y= (-17.57) + 0.22X3 with a correlation coefficient positive is 0.52 and the coefficient of determination is 27.3%, the meaning that for every increase 1 cm of the chest circumference, milk production will decrease 0.22 liters. It can be concluded that the more highly lactation period, milk production will decrease. Then the more highly score BCS and chest circumference, milk production will following high to.

Abstract

Colostrum is the secretion of the udder glands after the cow gives birth and is given to the calf for 3-5 days. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the lactation period and colostrum age on the colostrum protein content of FH dairy cows. This research was conducted at KPSP Setia Kawan, Pasuruan. The research was conducted in August-November 2022. The research materials were FH dairy cows with lactation periods 1,2,3, and cow colostrum which were analyzed with the Lactoscan Milk Analyzer. The research method uses case study method and purposive sampling. Research using simple linear regression analysis and correlation. The results of the regression equation study the relationship between the lactation period and colostrum protein content, namely Y =5.22+0.46X with a correlation value (r)=0.158 and a coefficient of determination (R2)=0.025. The results of the regression equation for the relationship between colostrum age and colosrum protein content are Y=10.79-1.55X with a correlation value (r)=0.88 and a coefficient of determination (R2)=0.77. The conclusion of the study is that there is a positive relationship between the lactation period and colostrum protein and there is a negative relationship between colostrum age and colostrum protein. Keywords : FH dairy cattle, colostrum, lactation period, colostrum protein.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the dairy farming in Dairy Cattle Cooperation Setia Kawan Wonosari Village, Tutur District, Pasuruan Regancy. The objective of this research was to analyze the correlation between colostrum age and lactation period with colostrum production on Friesian Holstein. The material used is 30 Friesian Holstein which are lactation, both the first lactation period to the third lactation period. The method used was the case study method and the data was collected data by direct observation of dairy cows. Data analyzed using regression analysis and correlation. The results show that the correlation between colostrum age and colostrum production has a regression the equation is Y = 9.8+0.75X, where r = 0.516 and R2 = 0.266 and the lactation period with colostrum production has a regression equation that is Y = 11.35+0.16X with r = 0.086 and R2 = 0.007. The average highest colostrum production in dairy cows was on the fourth day (12.61 ± 1.29 liters/head/day) and the highest colostrum production was in the third lactation (11.80 ± 1.68 liters/head/day). Based on these results it can be concluded that colostrum ages with colostrum production has a moderate positive correlation, while the lactation period with colostrum production has a very low positive correlation. Keywords : Lactation period, colostrum production, pregnant cow, friesian Holstein

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the linear size of the bodies of participated cow used in the progeny test of dairy cows in KAN Jabung, Malang, East Java. The material used consisted of 180 lactating cows emplyed as participated cows. The research employed was a survey with data collection throught purposive sampling, selecting cows that are lactating based on specific criteria. The data were analyzed using correlation analysis and simple linear regression. The results of the study, revealed correlation values between body weight, chest circumference, body length, height with body condition score (BCS), as follows: 0,3542; 0,3523; 0,1926; 0,3198 respectively. Meanwhile, the correlation values of chest circumference, body length, and height with body were found to be: 0,9990; 0,5381; 0,4528, respectively. In conclusion, this study determined that the highest correlation of participated cow linear body size was observed in the relationship between chest circumference and body weight, while the lowest correlation was found in the relationship between body length and BCS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the udder washing temperature in the milking process and the amount of production and fat content of FHB cow's milk produced. The material used in this study were FHB dairy cows for the 2-4 lactation period and 3-4 lactation months with a total of 30 heads which were divided into 2 udder washing water temperatures, namely water temperature 19-23oC and 38oC. The method used in this research is observation and data collection using purposive sampling method. The data obtained were analyzed using the correlation test method. The results of the research that has been done show that the average milk production at udder washing water temperatures of 19 – 23oC is 13.56 ± 5.01 Kg/day and at 38oC udder washing water temperatures is 11.2 ± 5.33 Kg/day while for the average fat content at udder washing water temperature of 19 – 23oC was 4.34 ± 0.71% and at 38oC udder washing water temperature was 4.21 ± 0.73%. The correlation coefficient between udder washing water temperature and milk production has a value of -0.03 with a very weak and negative correlation, while the correlation coefficient between udder washing water temperature and milk fat content has a value of -0.0002 with a correlation value that is too small or not correlated.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi suhu pencucian ambing pada proses pemerahan terhadap jumlah produksi dan kadar lemak susu sapi PFH yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan Kecamatan Ngantang Kabupaten Malang pada bulan Januari 2023. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sapi perah PFH periode laktasi 2 – 4 dengan bulan laktasi 3 – 4 dengan total 30 ekor yang terbagi ke dalam 2 perlakuan suhu air pencucian ambing yaitu suhu air 19 – 23oC dan 38oC. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengamatan dan pengumpulan data menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa rata – rata produksi susu pada suhu air pencucian ambing 19 – 23oC sebesar 13,56±5,01 Kg/hari dan pada suhu air pencucian ambing 38oC sebesar 11,2±5,33 Kg/hari sementara untuk rata – rata kadar lemak pada suhu air pencucian ambing 19 – 23oC sebesar 4,34±0,71% dan pada suhu air pencucian ambing 38oC sebesar 4,21±0,73%. Koefisien korelasi antara suhu air pencucian ambing terhadap produksi susu memiliki nilai -0,03 dengan korelasi sangat lemah dan negatif sementara koefisien korelasi antara suhu air pencucian ambing dengan kadar lemak susu memiliki nilai -0,0002 dengan nilai korelasi tidak berkorelasi.

Abstract

The Purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between udder volume and teats length with milk production in Friesian Holstein dairy cows in Pesanggrahan Village, Batu City, East Java. The research was conducted for one month from August to September 2023. The materials used were 30 Friesian Holstein dairy cows in lactation phase 2-3 and lactation month 2-3. The method used was case study method. Parameters measured included udder volume, teats length and milk production. Analysis of the relationship between research variables using correlation analysis and simple linear regression, where udder volume and teats length as independent variables (X) and milk production as the dependent variable (Y). The results showed that there was a relationship between udder volume and milk production and a very weak relationship between teats length and milk production. The conclusion of this study is that udder volume has a relationship with milk production, while teats leght has a insignificant relationship with milk production so that teats leght only affects milking effectiveness. Thus, udder volume is a considered more relevant as a variable in predicting the amount of milk produced by dairy cows.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara volume ambing dan panjang puting dengan produksi susu pada sapi perah Friesian Holstein di Desa Pesanggrahan, Kota Batu, Jawa Timur. Penelitian dilakukan selama satu bulan dari bulan Agustus hingga September 2023. Materi yang digunakan adalah 30 ekor sapi perah Friesian Holstein periode laktasi II-III dan laktasi bulan ke 2-3. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus. Parameter yang diukur meliputi volume ambing, panjang puting dan produksi susu. Analisis hubungan antar variabel penelitian menggunakan analisis korelasi dan regresi linier sederhana, dimana volume ambing dan panjang ambing sebagai variabel bebas (X) dan produksi susu sebagai variabel terikat (Y). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara volume ambing dengan produksi susu dan terdapat hubungan yang sangat lemah antara panjang ambing dengan produksi susu. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah volume ambing memiliki hubungan dengan produksi susu, sedangkan panjang ambing memiliki hubungan yang tidak signifikan dengan produksi susu sehingga panjang ambing hanya berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas pemerahan. Dengan demikian, volume ambing dianggap lebih relevan sebagai variabel dalam memprediksi jumlah susu yang dihasilkan oleh sapi perah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the hygienic relationship with the level of subclinical mastitis based on the CMT test and milk quality based on the reductase test on FH dairy cows in Tuyomerto, Pesanggrahan Village, Batu City. The study was conducted at the farm of the people of Tuyomerto, Pesanggrahan Village, Batu City began on August 20, 2023 to 20 September 2023. The research material used was 30 FH dairy cows in the lactation period 2 to the lactation period 3. This study method used case study. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression and correlation coefficient. Hygienic relationship with the incidence of subclinical mastitis obtained a regression equation Y = 7.84 – 0.63X and the correlation coefficient of 0.60 which means it has a strong level of closeness. The coefficient of determination obtained 36% means that the incidence of subclinical mastitis is influenced by hygienic milking of 36% and the remaining 64% is influenced by the location of waste disposal not far from the cage. Hygienic relationship with milk quality based on the reductase test obtained the regression equation Y = 1.82 – 0.73X and the correlation coefficient of 0.73 which means it has a strong level of closeness. The coefficient of determination obtained 53% means that milk microbes are influenced by minienic milking by 53% and the remaining 47% is influenced by the provision of supplementation of feed components. Based on research it can be concluded that the higher the hygienic milking, the lower the incidence of subclinical mastitis is based on the CMT test, and the lower the microbial contamination in milk based on the reductase test. Suggestions that can be given are that FH dairy farmers should apply good milking hygiene to prevent mastitis and reduce microbial contamination in milk, thereby increasing the quality of milk produced.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji hubungan higienis pemerahan dengan tingkat kejadian mastitis subklinis dan kualitas susu berdasarkan uji reduktase pada sapi perah FH di Dusun Tuyomerto, Desa Pesanggrahan, Kota Batu. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah 30 ekor sapi perah FH pada periode laktasi 2 sampai periode laktasi 3. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dan koefisien korelasi. Hubungan higienis pemerahan dengan tingkat kejadian mastitis subklinis didapatkan persamaan regresi Y = 7,84 - 0,63X dan koefisien korelasi 0,60 yang artinya memiliki tingkat keeratan kuat. Koefisien determinasi diperoleh 36% artinya tingkat kejadian mastitis subklinis dipengaruhi oleh higienis pemerahan sebesar 36% dan sisanya sebesar 64% dipengaruhi letak pembuangan limbah yang tidak jauh dari kandang. Hubungan higienis pemerahan dengan kualitas susu berdasarkan uji reduktase didapatkan persamaan regresi Y = 1,82 - 0,73X dan koefisien korelasi 0,73 yang artinya memiliki tingkat keeratan kuat. Koefisien determinasi diperoleh 53% artinya mikroba susu dipengaruhi oleh higienis pemerahan sebesar 53% dan sisanya sebesar 47% dipengaruhi pemberian komponen pakan suplementasi. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi higienis pemerahan maka akan semakin rendah tingkat kejadian mastitis subklinis berdasarkan uji CMT, dan semakin rendah cemaran mikroba pada susu berdasarkan uji reduktase. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah sebaiknya peternak sapi perah FH menerapkan higienis pemerahan yang baik untuk mencegah terjadinya mastitis dan mengurangi cemaran mikroba pada susu, sehingga meningkatkan kualitas susu yang dihasilkan.
