Abstract

ABSTRAKSektor pertanian berfungsi sebagai sumber mata pencaharian bagi penduduk setempat selain menjamin ketahanan pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengklusterisasi RTUP Kota Palopo berdasarkan subsektor yang diusahakan. Data yang digunakan merupakan data Sensus Pertanian tahun 2023 Khusus wilayah Kota Palopo dan di klusterisasi menggunakan metode K-Mens. Hasil analisis kluster ditemukan bahwa terdapat 2 kluster Rumah Tangga Usaha Pertanian (RTUP) berdasarkan subsektor yang diusahakan di Kota Palopo. Kluster 1 terdiri dari jumlah RTUP tinggi di semua subsektor, kecuali di subsektor perikanan, dikarenakan letak kecamatan memiliki area yang tidak cocok untuk perikanan tetapi sangat cocok untuk subsektor lainnya. Kluster 2 memiliki jumlah RTUP rendah di semua subsektor, kecuali di subsektor perikanan, dikarenakan letak kecamatan memiliki area yang sangat cocok untuk subsektor pertanian tetapi tidak cocok untuk subsektor lainnya. Meskipun 2 wilayah yang berbeda kluster tersebut memiliki RTUP tertentu yang tinggi, bukan berarti tidak ada subsektor yang lain diusahakan. Kata kunci: Klusterisasi, RTUP dan Subsektor Usahatani ABSTRACTThe agricultural sector serves as a source of livelihood for the local population in addition to ensuring food security. This study aims to cluster Palopo City's RTUP based on the subsectors it manages. The data used is 2023 Agricultural Census data specific to the Palopo City area and clustered using the K-Means method. The results showed that there were two clusters of Agricultural Business Households (RTUP) based on the subsectors cultivated in Palopo City. Cluster 1 contains a big number of RTUPs in all subsectors except fisheries, which has an area that is unsuitable for fishing but is ideal for other subsectors. Cluster 2 has a low number of RTUPs in all subsectors except fisheries because the sub-district location has an area that is ideal for agriculture but unsuitable for other subsectors. Although the two distinct cluster regions have a high RTUP, this does not imply that other subsectors are not pursued. Keywords: Clustering, RTUP and Agricultural subsector

Abstract

This study aims to determine the capacity analysis of cocoa farmers in Ponggi Village, Porehu District, North Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. This research method is a quantitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires to cocoa farmers. The results of the study indicate that information support— support from fellow farmers, internet support, and support from buyers/collectors—significantly influences cocoa farmers' capacity. At the same time, the extension activity variables—methods, materials, and communication frequency—did not substantially affect cocoa farmers' capacity. Meanwhile, the reflected farmer characteristics variables (methods, materials, and frequency of communication) do not significantly affect cocoa farmers' capacity.
