Abstract

With the increase of importance for collaboration, intelligence, operational integration with partners in supply chain and inter-organizational partnership, there has been change in the role of supply managers in improving corporate performance. This is reflected in the research related to firms and entrepreneurial settings. The mechanism identified in previous research studies along with the entrepreneurial skills and role of supply management have been explored in this research study. The integration of firm with its suppliers is contributed by entrepreneurial behavior as reflected by the results, which are in line with theoretical framework. This improves the performance of firm. Managers, who aim at improving performance, can achieve high performance through changes in culture and recruitment of management supply function to an entrepreneurial orientation. The implementation of organizational entrepreneurship concept to supply management theory is important. It has been suggested by this research that there is need for further investigation to give a flexible approach for using entrepreneurial constructs to define principles of supply management in the collaboration of buyer and supplier, organizational outcomes and relational capital. Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between information processing requirements and information processing capacity. Additionally, the intention to adopt is examined the mediating role of intention to adopt in the relationship between information processing requirements and information processing capacity in the Thai automobile industry is examined. The study has broached the conceptual model as an application of cloud computing in the Thai automobile supply chain. The SEM-PLS is adopted to examine the model. The Thai automobile industry is taken as the sample of the study. The study is of the view that the industry of cloud computing is growing rapidly to support the supply chain activities. However, there is lack of academic research on analyzing the application of cloud computing in managing supply chain theoretically. It has been revealed through literature review that the focus of researches is on identifying the applications and architectures of cloud environment. Moreover, the study proposes different limitations and opportunities related to cloud computing. The adoption of cloud computing by an organization has been examined theoretically in this research through use of information processing view and classical diffusion theory. Practitioners and academicians are given an understanding of the circumstances, which influence the firm to adopt cloud-computing technology within its supply chain.

Abstract

The study is carried out to examine the interrelationship among the capital formation mechanism, formal socialization, informal socialization and the supply chain rational outcome. The study has used the social capital theory to conceptualize interrelationship among the capital formation mechanism, formal socialization, informal socialization and the supply chain rational outcome. The study has employed the SEM-PLS to answer the questions raised in the study. The outcomes obtained for this study have suggested that some context-specific mixture of informal and formal socialization mechanism is needed. The formal structure is needed to form the basis for establishing the mechanism of informal socialization, which could occur after a certain time period. For instance, a senior executive in a food company observed this situation while evaluating potential suppliers for a strategic alliance of a multiyear steel agreement. According to this study, relational capital also facilitates some particular operational metrics in relationship interactions. In addition, the relation capital concept can be used by suppliers and buyers to make relation-specific investments and establish knowledge-sharing relationships for obtaining relational rents. Furthermore, the relational capital must be recognized as a key constituent to foster and maintain relationship performance.  The study is among the pioneering studies on the issues and will be helpful for policymakers and researchers in understanding the issues related to capital formation mechanism, formal socialization, informal socialization and the supply chain rational outcomes in Thai food industry.

Abstract

The main focus of the current study is to investigate the moderating role of operational control in the relationship between entrepreneurial activity and innovation performance. The present research aims to observe the association between antecedents and operations control mechanism, innovation performance, and corporate entrepreneurship. Innovation performance is defined as the extent of a firms’ level of attained success in achieving technologically innovative and product market goals. A theoretical base of current study states that there is no contradiction among the operations control mechanism and corporate entrepreneurship interests. The SEM-PLS is employed as a statistical tool to analyze the data. The current data revealed that strong positive influence of risk control as moderator was found on the innovation performance and organizational boundaries relationship, and a strong negative effect on the organizations’ innovation performance and time availability relationship. Thus, the possible influence caused by operation control variables must also be acknowledged. The recent research suggested that innovation should be taken and treated by managers as a responsive process for a disciplined and structured supervision. In addition, undertaking innovative initiatives require managers to deliberately construct and understand the means of generating desirable innovation outcomes.

Abstract

The study is carried out to explore the role of big data analytics in determine the relationship between green product innovation, market demand and the performance of motorcycle manufacturing firms in Thailand. The current study which basically is an empirical research theoretically as well as methodologically contributed in the existing literature, particularly, in the Thailand’s motorcycle industry. It is obvious that adopting green product innovation in highly competitive market is imperative, since it facilitates in achieving competitive advantage and product differentiation [1].the data is collected from the motorcycle manufacturing firms in Thailand. The SEM-PLS is used to analyse the data. The findings of the study have shown consistency with the hypothesized results as well as the prior findings. Although, the results have shown that it is important for firms to understand the requirements of its consumers, followed by the alignment of product innovation initiatives to the values of consumers. In the recent green conscious competitive environment, brand identity and design, price, fuel consumption, and exhaust emission are some of the important criteria which are generally considered by consumers while taking a motorbike purchasing decision. Another study has attempted to analyse BDA and the computer-assisted textual analysis, as well as its application in the transportation and logistics system. For the managers, the current research emphasizes the strategic significance of green product decisions. It also explains that firm performance and green product innovation must also integrate knowledge of market demand as important consideration.

Abstract

The present study emphasized the integration of medical tourism supply chain   practices among organizations, its antecedents as well as consequences in the medical tourism industry. The study has used the survey-based methodology and employed SEM-PLS as a statistical tool to answer the research questions raised in the study. The findings of this study confirmed the significance of mutual dependency in medical tourism supply chain, and also reported that there is lack of commitment as well as trust within the medical tourism supply chain   members’, which has not identified completely in earlier researches. In the meantime, medical tourism supply chain   information sharing, and coordination also found to be the significant contributory factors in improving the performance of organization. However, certain level of integration and collaboration is still missing in medical tourism supply chain, due to certain deficiencies. Thus, medical tourism is an important sector and business for the tourism industry in Thailand, which needs to enhance SC operations to outperform its competitors and for achieving competitive advantage. The study provides guideline to researchers, policymakers and researchers and argues that the drivers of medical tourism supply chain i.e. mutual dependency, commitment and trust must be focused as those organizational areas which require more efforts to enhance medical tourism supply chain relationships.

Abstract

The main focus of the currents study is to examine the role of the greening of the supplier in achieving competitive advantages. In addition to that the study has examined the mediating role green innovation namely product innovation, process innovation, and the managerial innovation in the relationship between greening the supplier and the competitive advantage of firms in the plastic industry of Thailand.  The study has used the SEM-PLS to analyses the data. Due to the number of reasons the current study is using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). SEM assumes that variables assed without any errors and have equal capability of consideration with linear and multiple regression analysis. Although SEM is very effective for the estimation of instrument with many distinct equations of multiple regression and also involve in factor analysis and multiple regression. The results of current study show that with the encouragement of green suppliers lead towards internal green product, managerial innovation and process [1]. which will increase competitive advantage. So, this study suggest that companies should integrate their upstream and downstream suppliers for achievement of environmental goals and relive of pressure from buyers. In international market these organizations can create a lot of job opportunities as compare to their competitors. By practice organizations must dedicate considerable efforts for providing guidance, assistance and technical support to suppliers for the implementation of environmental management systems, and organizing the seminars related to environmental awareness and training sessions for helping suppliers for improvement of firm.
