Abstract

This research aimed to seek the influence of waqf understanding on cash waqf intention of the mosque congregation at the District of Ponorogo. The method employed in this study is multiple regressions with primary data collected from 150 respondents of 5 big mosques in the District of Ponorogo within the questionnaire. The result of the study shows that all variables of waqf understanding namely basic understanding of waqf, understanding of waqf benefit, and understanding of waqf laws are simultaneously influenced the dependent variable with significant impact. Meanwhile, partially understanding the benefit of waqf positively significant influenced the intention to participate and donate cash waqf, while the rest variables had no impact on the intention to participate and donate cash waqf.

Abstract

This study to investigate effectivities of zakat productive funds toward zakat recipient income in Palembang. Data using primary data which collect through interviews, observation, and documentation with instruments a questionnaire. The method in this study uses the quantitative approach with applying a regression model. The population in this study are all the recipients who receive the funding of zakat productive from BAZNAS of South Sumatra. The findings of this study indicated that the capital of zakat productive, length of business and training has a significant effect on zakat recipient income in Palembang city.

Abstract

Waqf is one of the important instruments and has enormous potential from a social and financial perspective. There are many types of waqf, one of which is money waqf or cash waqf. Cash waqf has different characteristics from zakat and alms. Waqf has very significant benefits if the waqf is given in a productive form. However, currently, the great potential of waqf has not been implemented properly. The purpose of this study is to analyze the students' intentions in waqf which are influenced by factors of religiosity, knowledge, and financial attitudes. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling method with the Lisrel tool. The results showed that the factors of religiosity and knowledge were less influential than the factors of financial attitudes which had a stronger influence. In a sense, students' interest in spending their money in the form of alms can be seen in their financial attitude.

Abstract

The low level of participation of waqf in society is caused by the low level of understanding of waqf. Therefore, this research is aimed to mapping the understanding of waqf. The object of the study is the mosque congregation in the district of Ponorogo. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with a corresponding approach. The data collected through interviews. The result of this study shows that the understanding of waqf is mapped on three themes namely, a basic understanding of waqf, an understanding of waqf benefits, understanding of the law related to waqf. This research also found that the level of understanding waqf based on the map is at a medium-low level. Means, the mosque congregation at the district of Ponrogo are still unfamiliar with waqf in term advanced understanding.
