Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan media audio visual pada mata pelajaran biologi materi virus di SMA Negeri 1 Meureubo Kabupaten Aceh Barat dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana respon siswa selama mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media audio visual. Penelitian ini mengggunakan desain penelitian randomized subject postest only control group dimana penelitian termasuk kategori quasi experimental design. Kelas eksperimen diajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran audio visual sedangkan kelas kontrol diajarkan menggunakan metode konvensional tanpa menggunakan media audio visual. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 71,750. Sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 78,833. Dengan demikian hasil nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,319 > 1,713 dengan signifikasi sebesar 0,05. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan antara rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan media audio visual dengan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang tidak menggunakan media audio visual dalam proses pembelajaran terhadap siswa kelas X IPA di SMA Negeri 1 Meureubo Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Kata Kunci: Media, Audio, Visual, Hasil Belajar, Respon Siwa.

Abstract

One of the biggest contributors of air pollution is the production of coal fly ash from power plant industry. Fly ash has an immediate impact on human and animal health around the power plant. Many buffaloes in Nagan Raya usually grazing near the 110-megawatt steam power plant that using low rank coal. This action raises concerns about buffalo’s health due to exposure to fly ash. This study aimed to examine the relationship of knowledge, attitude and action of buffalo breeders to the impact of fly ash exposure on the buffaloes. This research used analytical survey with cross sectional design. This study was conducted in February 2018 with 30 respondents from four villages around Nagan Raya Power Plant to evaluate their knowledge, attitudes and actions by using questionnaires. The data were analyzed statistically with Chi Square Test with SPSS for Windows version 17.0. The results showed that there was no significant correlation between the knowledge of buffalo breeders and the impact of fly ash exposure (P 0.05), while the attitude and actions of buffalo breeders had a significant correlation with the impact of fly ash exposure (P 0.05). These results concluded that the buffalo breeders in the villages around the power plant did not realize the impact of fly ash arising from coal of power plant. It is expected that the associated institution would conduct a counseling about the impact of fly ash exposure as well as good management of buffaloes.

Abstract

Many buffaloes are maintained by Nagan Raya people and are often consumed by the community. The buffalo ranchers in this area release their livestock around the 110 MW Steam Power Plant that using low-rank coal. This ranchers’s behavior raises concerns about buffalo health due to exposure to fly ash. This study aims to examine the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and action of buffalo ranchers to the impact of fly ash exposure on the buffalo they maintain. This research used a cross-sectional design. The research time was done in February 2018 by taking 30 samples as respondents in four villages around Nagan Raya Power Plant. The tools used to assess knowledge, attitudes, and actions were using questionnaires. Data were analyzed statistically with the Chi-Square Test through SPSS for Windows version 17.0. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the knowledge of buffalo ranchers and the impact of fly-ash exposure (P 0.05) while the attitude and actions of buffalo ranchers had a significant relationship with the impact of fly-ash exposure (P 0.05, P 0 , 05). These results conclude that the buffalo ranchers in the villages around the plant have not understood the impact of fly-ash arising from coal in the Nagan Raya power plant. It is expected that the relevant parties to conduct counseling about the impact of fly-ash exposure and the way of good buffalo management.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to elaborate the impact of collaborative work among stakeholders in Indonesia upstream oil gas industry for create value through supply chain management by prioritizing local products. Challenges of local products are not only from qualities and quantities as per industrial demands, but also from sustainable principles that start applying by Upstream Oil Gas Industry. The implementation of sustainable principles is very important to ensure that Indonesia can fulfil the target of energy transition as mentioned on the Paris Agreement in 2015. In this moment, Indonesia oil and gas industry and supported by the Government of Indonesia already prepared the roadmap to support the energy transition by reducing emissions, applying new technology for CCU/CCUS, and emphasizing the crucial role of the supply chain sustainability. As part of supply chain management (SCM) sustainability principles, the government and industry need to prepare the local companies to support the energy transition target. The landscape of the Indonesian petroleum industry, focusing on specific regulations for local content improvement and their alignment with supply chain sustainability in the energy transition era. Indonesian oil and gas companies operate under Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) with the government. The PSC has agreed to target local content with the government during exploration and operation. To achieve this, local companies must enhance their capabilities through research and development (RD) to remain competitive and support decarbonization strategies without compromising local content and emissions reduction initiatives. This paper discusses, according to the research, local companies have limitations to get access of new technologies that will be implemented during energy transition era. Therefore, collaborative work among Government and Industries is required to ensure local companies can be ready by the time the energy transition begins. Overcoming the challenge and limitation, this paper belief that collaboration among Government, Oil Gas Company, Supporting Industries (Vendor), Financial and Education Institution in Indonesia during the energy transition has pivotal role. By fostering collaboration, embracing sustainability principles, and investing in research and development, stakeholders can create a thriving ecosystem that supports local economic growth and environmental stewardship. Successful development programs through collaboration are ultimately expected to enhance job creation for Indonesian citizens, addressing the needs of the country with large population like Indonesia.

Abstract

This study's goal is to determine and examine the function that educators play in conducting learning assessments in classrooms. The methodology for this study was qualitative research with a literature study approach, or through literature study, which entails gathering data that is pertinent to the issue or topic under discussion and clarifies its significance. educators in the assessment of learning. This study focuses on educators who are involved in conducting assessments of student learning within educational institutions. The findings of this study demonstrate that, in the process of evaluating student learning, the teacher assumes the role of an evaluator, whose job it is to decide whether or not a teacher is effective in helping students learn. Or, to put it another way, assessment is what decides if a teacher is effective in helping students learn. Techniques and protocols employed in education must be maintained or improved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of leadership quality, work discipline, and teamwork on employee performance at Pt. Indri Plant PKS Napal. Employee performance is one of the important factors in supporting the achievement of company goals. The sample of this study was all 88 employees using census techniques. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach and the data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, where variables are measured using a Likert scale, data collection methods using questionnaires. Data processing uses SPSS software. The results of this study indicate that the variables of leadership quality, work discipline, and teamwork have an effect on employee performance both partially and simultaneously. The R Square value of 0.489 or 48.9% indicates that the variables of leadership quality, work discipline, and teamwork as a whole have an effect of 48.9% on employee performance, while the remaining 51.1% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode Quantum Learning berbasis permainan tradisional Gobak Sodor terhadap hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) siswa kelas V di SD Siti Amelia Medan. Permasalahan yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar IPAS yang ditunjukkan oleh data awal, di mana hanya 37% siswa mencapai nilai di atas KKM. Penelitian ini mengacu pada pendekatan Quantum Learning yang dikembangkan oleh Bobbi DePorter, yang menekankan pada proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, aktif, dan melibatkan seluruh aspek kecerdasan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment jenis nonequivalent control group design. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan Quantum Learning berbasis permainan Gobak Sodor, dan kelas VB sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah dan penugasan. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest dan posttest serta dianalisis menggunakan uji t-test independent sample. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerapan metode Quantum Learning berbasis permainan terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Siswa yang belajar dengan metode ini mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi yaitu 96,7% dibandingkan siswa pada kelas kontrol yaitu 76,6%. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh nilai t-hitung lebih besar dari ttabel (3,124>2,002) dengan nilai Sig (2-tailed) kurang dari 0,05 (0,003<0,05). Menurut hasil uji hipotesis, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak Ha diterima, sehingga penerapan metode Quantum Learning berbasis permainan gobak sodor terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Natural-based antidiabetic drugs need to be developed as an alternative to synthetic antidiabetic drugs to minimize side effects. Suruhan extract (Peperomia pellucida) is one of the natural ingredients that has antidiabetic activity. In vitro studies show that ethanol extract, hexane extract and purified ethanol extract have antidiabetic effectiveness. This study was conducted to test the antidiabetic activity of purified suruhan extract on alloxan-induced Wistar rats to confirm antidiabetic activity in vivo. A total of 8 test groups, each consisting of 3 rats induced by alloxan 125mg/KgBW and non-fasting blood glucose was checked at 0; 30; 60; 90; 120; and 150 minutes using a glucometer, then the percentage of decrease in blood glucose levels was calculated. Positive control using glibenclamide 0.45mg/KgBW, negative control using CMC-Na 0.5%. The treatment groups consisted of: Extract 20mg/KgBW (E20); Extract 40mg/KgBW (E40); Extract 80mg/KgBW (E80); Purified Extract 20mg/KgBW (P20); Purified Extract 40mg/KgBW (P40); and Purified Extract 80mg/KgBW (P80). Results showed the percentage decrease in blood glucose levels of E20; E40; E80; P20; P40; and P80 respectively: 39.93%; 42.29%; 46.93%; 38.34%; 55.34%; and 66.40%. The percentage decrease in blood glucose levels of the positive control group was 53.71%. The Purified Extract treatment groups of 40mg/KgBW and 80mg/KgBW showed the percentage decrease in blood glucose levels equivalent to and better than the positive control of glibenclamide 0.45mg/KgBW (p<0.05%). The purified extract was shown to have antidiabetic effects in vivo and is promising for use as an alternative antidiabetic drug.
