Abstract

The main objective of the current study is the enhancement in literature of SC with untying the association between SC practices, the innovation in CHIN and strategy orientation. SC practices have positive impact of Market orientation. Results are consistent with results of past studies of SC practices development achievement with the use of Market orientation. Contradiction with expectation information reveals that SC practices   was not significant and positively related with resource orientation. According the study, a high level of investment for example in IT sector will not be beneficial for supply chain management. This suggestion indicates that managers should not make the excessive investment but have to allocate the resources of organization efficiently. The study has employed the SEM-PLS as a statistical tool to analyze the data collected from the Thai based global firms This study contributed in three aspects of supply chain management. First one is in, integration innovation, strategic management and SCM mainly the use of cross-disciplinary research. Previous studies have presumed that there is positive association among SCPR and innovation in CHIN. Though explanations regarding drivers of innovation in CHIN matters in association not been provided. Whereas we have provided new viewpoint for the explanation how sustained competitive advantage can be created for the firms by innovation in CHIN

Abstract

The study is planned to examine the impact of entrepreneur innovation and learning orientation on the global purchasing of firms in the five biggest import industries of Thailand. To have a more detailed insight the study has incorporated the two factors from environmental turbulence namely market turbulence, and technological turbulence as moderator. The study has used the PLS-SEM to answer the research questions. PLS-SEM has become an advanced alternative to previous co-variance approaches because of its unique features and abilities. PLS-SEM technique is the widely adopted approach and it has gained huge recognition among the researchers. The findings of the study have provided me the support to the hypotheses result. From the findings it has been found by this study that the organizations, which operate in environment with technological turbulence, possess a strong association between entrepreneurial innovation and learning orientation as compared to less turbulent organizations. There is need for managers to be aware of the level of technological change, which affects the influence of innovation and learning on purchasing performance. There is need for managers to emphasize on learning while operating in highly turbulent technological environment to foster innovation by developing long-term associations with suppliers.

Abstract

The researcher specifies the relation between the latent and observed variables and inter-correlation is allowed between all the factors. This research is based on proposing and evaluating the model based on the association between internal and external collaboration, IT capability, and performance of a firm. The study results in important implications, which are important from managerial and theoretical perspectives. The study contributes in a significant way through testing empirically the theoretical assumptions in the previous literature based on the influence of IT on firm performance and collaboration. The study has used the SEM-PLS as a statistical technique to answer the research questions. In this research, it has been considered that there are two constructs of collaboration. Separate constructs have been developed for internal and external collaboration. Moreover, stages are involved in collaboration including simple sharing of information to a truly developed collaboration. A key finding of this study is the influence of internal collaboration on the performance of firm. This finding has been suggested by several research studies, but it does not confirm the crucial role served by internal collaboration. The study, which is among the pioneering studies on the issue will provide policy guidelines to relevant ministry and also helps the researchers in understanding the issues in the Thai auto industry.
