Abstract

Anxiety is an emotional disorder that is often experienced by mothers in labor. The effects of anxiety in childbirth can trigger the release of excess catecholamine levels, which can result in decreased blood flow to the uterus and can lead to prolonged labor during the active phase of labor. One of the non-pharmacological efforts to overcome this problem is murottal therapy. This study aims to determine the effect of Murottal Surat Ar-Rahman therapy on the level of anxiety in mothers during the active phase of labor at Esti Husada Clinic. The study used a Quasy Experiment design. Quantitative design using the Non-Equivalent Control Group. The sampling technique is Accidental sampling. The number of samples was 22 mothers who gave birth during the first stage of the active phase consisting of 11 respondents in the control group and 11 respondents in the experimental group. Quantitative data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. Results are obtained p-value=0.005, which means there is an effect of Murottal Surat Ar-Rahman therapy on the level of anxiety in the mother during the active phase of labor. The level of maternal anxiety level during the first stage of labor in the control group during the pretest (54.5%) and posttest (63.6%), namely at a moderate level of anxiety, while the anxiety level of the mother during the first stage of the active phase in the intervention group before doing murottal therapy is experiencing moderate anxiety (54.5%), but after being given murottal therapy it changed to mild anxiety (72.7%).

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic impacted on family planning drop-outs and an increase in pregnancies. The use of intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) is 99.4% effective in controlling the population; however, public interest in IUDs is low. This low interest can be overcome by providing education using Klik KB application. This research aimed to determine the impact of health education through Klik KB on the interest of IUD acceptors during the pandemic. The research type was quasi-experimental with a one-group pretest posttest design. The research was conducted from December to March 2022 with the population of 311 people and the sample of 31 people. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data collection was carried out by distributing a questionnaire and providing an intervention. The data analysis used a frequency distribution table and Wilcoxon test. The research results showed that before providing health education using Klik KB, the majority of the respondents had moderate interest and after providing health education, the respondents’ interest became high. Providing health education using Klik KB application media has an influence on the acceptor’s interest on IUD at Pemalang District Health Center with a p value of 0.000. Midwives and National Population and Family Planning Board (Ina. BKKBN) are required to carry out more comprehensive outreach to the public using Klik KB application media.

Abstract

Pregnancy represents a significant phase in the lives of women, particularly for those who are married. Thus, pregnancy necessitates specialized attention, especially concerning the fulfillment of energy and nutritional requirements. The quality of maternal dietary intake before and during pregnancy has the potential to influence the health of both the mother and her baby. Malnutrition during pregnancy can lead to various complications, affecting both the mother and the fetus, including issues like anemia, bleeding, and inadequate maternal weight gain. Maternal nutritional intake is influenced by a multitude of internal and external factors within the pregnant mother and her family, encompassing factors such as low levels of knowledge, social dynamics, and household income. This study aims to explore the correlation between the nutritional status of pregnant women and the family income level at the Ampel Health Center in Boyolali Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach utilizing an analytical survey method with a cross-sectional design. The study involved a sample size of 30 pregnant women. The results reveal that the majority of participants are aged between 20-35 years, predominantly in the second trimester of pregnancy, with 10 respondents (33.3%) in trimester II and 20 respondents (66.6%) in trimester III. The Spearman's rank correlation test yielded a p-value of 0.353, which is above the significance level of 0.05 (0.353 > 0.05). Nonetheless, there is no significant correlation between the nutritional status of pregnant women and the family income level at the Ampel Health Center in Boyolali Regency.

Abstract

"Free sex" generally refers to sexual activity occurring outside of a committed, exclusive relationship, often without the expectation of marriage. Adolescent sexuality is a multifaceted and intricate aspect of human development, laden with social and psychological complexities. Research within the Indonesian context reveals a concerning trend: a significant proportion of high school students initiate sexual activity during their formative years. This literature review delves into the multifaceted factors that shape adolescent sexual behavior, encompassing a range of influences such as religious beliefs, peer pressure, the quality of sex education received, and the pervasive impact of social media. A profound understanding of these intricate factors is paramount for the development of effective strategies that empower adolescents to make informed and responsible sexual decisions, ultimately fostering their healthy and holistic development. This study employed a Literature Review methodology, utilizing the PubMed and Google Scholar databases to identify relevant research articles. A total of 16 articles were initially retrieved, with 10 articles ultimately selected based on predefined criteria. The search focused on articles published between 2016 and 2023, prioritizing those available in full text, open access, and published in reputable scientific journals, both in English and Indonesian. A comprehensive review of the selected articles was then conducted, focusing on the specific research topic. The results showed that the factors that influence the occurrence of free sex in adolescents are: Religious Values (p value= 0.017, so p<0.05), the role of parents (p value= 0.002, so p<0.005), peers (p value = 0.005, then p<0.005), information media (p value= 0.003, then p<0.005), and socio-economics (p value= 0, then p<0,005). In conclusion, adolescent sexual activity is influenced by a complex interplay of factors, including religious values, parental guidance, peer influence, media exposure, and socioeconomic conditions. Addressing this issue requires a multifaceted approach that encompasses comprehensive sex education, strong family support, and efforts to mitigate the impact of socio-economic disparities.

Family planning is an approach to regulating the number of children born, the spacing between births, and the optimal age for childbirth, as well as pregnancy planning. These efforts are carried out through education, protection, and support based on reproductive rights, in order to create healthy and high-quality families. The unmet need rate in Central Java Province (2024) is around 5.70%, which means that women of childbearing age (WUS) and couples of childbearing age (PUS) want to space out or stop pregnancies but do not use contraception or family planning. The objective of this activity is to increase public awareness and involvement in family planning programs, using appropriate contraceptives to create healthy and prosperous families. This community service activity provides education on contraceptives using lectures and question and answer sessions, as well as pretest and posttest questionnaires to evaluate the activity. The population consisted of 22 WUS of childbearing age who were PKK members in Sembungharjo Village, RT 5 RW 6. Most WUS were over 35 years old (86.36%), multigravida (68.18%), had a high school education (45.45%), and did not use contraception (63.64%). The WUS's knowledge of contraceptives increased before being given education, with most having sufficient knowledge (52.2%) and a positive attitude. There was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores with a p-value < 0.001. Women of childbearing age showed sufficient knowledge and a positive attitude towards family planning programs. Educational interventions through leaflets, lectures, and question-and-answer sessions proved effective in increasing their understanding. Continuous efforts by health centers and stakeholders using similar media are recommended to raise awareness and prevent high-risk pregnancies.
