Abstract

Semar bukan hanya menjadi karakter dalam pewayangan Jawa, melainkan menjadi representasi dari religiositas masyarakat Jawa. Putu Wijaya memperkuat semar sebagai representasi religiositas masyarakat Jawa melalui novel Pol. Artikel ini menganalisis semar sebagai representasi religiositas masyarakat Jawa. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori analisis interinsik dan eksterinsik novel. Kesimpulannya, religiositas masyarakat direpresentasikan dalam novel Pol. Representasi religiositas Semar menunjukkan bahwa terjadi dinamika kehidupan manusia, baik masyarakat dan Aston. Manifestasi dinamika tersebut muncul pada sikap manusia ketika merespons segala krisis dan masalah yang dihadapinya. Sikap manusia tersebut dapat tercermin dalam persepsi, nilai, dan penalaran kehidupan.

Abstract

Setiap bangsa memiliki karakteristik dan jiwa kebangsaan yang berbeda-beda. Hal itu dapat dilandasi oleh berbagai faktor seperti nilai-nilai filosofi, sejarah, politik, sosial, budaya, dan lain-lain. Berbagai nilai tersebut akan berkelindan sehingga mewujudkan jati diri suatu bangsa yang harus dipertahankan oleh masyarakatnya. Implementasi pemertahanan tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan bermacam-macam cara, salah satunya adalah melalui karya sastra kedaerahan yang ditulis oleh pengarang yang memang berorientasi pada aspek pelestarian bahasa dan budaya daerahnya. Sebagai cerminan masyarakat, teks sastra daerah mempunyai tempat khusus tersendiri yang berkaitan dengan jati diri bangsa Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dibahas secara lebih merinci nilai-nilai pendidikan budaya dan moral yang terkandung dalam kumpulan cerita anak Ulin di Monumén karya Tetti Hodijah. Adapun metode yang akan digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analisis dengan tahapan mengumpulkan data, merumuskan, dan menganalisis data yang akan diteliti. Data yang diperoleh berupa catatan hasil telaah studi pustaka yang sudah diolah. Sementara itu, tujuan penelitian ini yaitu memberikan gambaran bahwa melalui karya sastra berupa cerpen anak yang berjudul Ulin di Monumén karya Tetti Hodijah turut berkontribusi terhadap upaya penguatan jati diri bangsa Indonesia. Nilai pendidikan moral dan budaya yang dimaksud seperti, nasionalisme, cinta tanah air, semangat kebangsaan, pelestarian budaya yang pada hakikatnya merupakan karakteristik dan jati diri bangsa Indonesia yang harus dipertahankan.

Abstract

Sundanese as one of the largest regional languages in Indonesia after Javanese is increasingly being eroded due to the demands of an increasingly advanced era has resulted in less attention being paid to Sundanese language subjects at every level of education. To increase the passion for learning Sundanese subjects, especially at SDN Kencana 3, Bogor City, try to use active learning learning methods, so there are interesting things to research, considering the location of the school is in a heterogeneous elite housing complex environment from various provinces throughout Indonesia. Even the area outside the complex that surrounds it in terms of the use of everyday language is closer to the Betawi language area, but by using active learning the value of students' academic achievement in Sundanese subjects shows good and satisfactory results.

Abstract

Analysis of Achieving Student Learning Styles. Qualitative research with a case study approach. Thesis of Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pakuan University, Bogor, 2020. Aims to identify the dominant learning style possessed by an outstanding student at SDN Semeru 1 Bogor City named Muhammdan Rafa Setiawan and what factors affect the student's achievement. This type of research is qualitative with the case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out by interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed that students were less reactive to sound, easy to focus, quicker to understand new information by looking at it, were able to sit quietly during the lesson, answered verbal questions briefly to the point and liked learning activities by reading so it could be concluded that the dominant learning style the subject has, namely the visual learning style. Meanwhile, the factors that influence the subject's achievement are the presence of interest and high motivation to learn, have an unyielding and resilient attitude and support from the subject's teachers and parents.

Abstract

The development of Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) as a soft diplomacy effort continues to increase rapidly. Various universities abroad and BIPA organizing institutions strive to open BIPA classes every semester. Every mode of learning certainly needs to be circumvented so as not to cause boredom to learners, one of which is by utilizing the available interactive digital learning media, namely Wordwall. This paper aims to identify the process of developing and optimizing the use of Wordwall in the BIPA class as an effective supporting media. In addition, it also seeks to measure the effectiveness of using Wordwall in the learning process in the classroom. The research methods used in this study were the distribution of questionnaires to learners, interview techniques, and documentation studies. The respondents in the study were students in BIPA 2 and BIPA 3 classes at the Indonesian Embassy in Bern, Switzerland in the spring semester period, which is between March–July 2022. The results showed that the development process and effectiveness of using Wordwall in learning in BIPA 2 and BIPA 3 classes could be achieved optimally which was identified through obtaining the scores of the majority of learners and the conformity of their answers during interviews. The implication of this research is that the use of digital-based teaching media, namely Wordwall in BIPA classes, also supports the success of learning objectives and becomes a new breakthrough in BIPA teaching. AbstrakPerkembangan Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) sebagai upaya diplomasi lunak terus meningkat pesat. Berbagai universitas di luar negeri dan lembaga penyelenggara BIPA berupaya untuk membuka kelas-kelas BIPA setiap semester. Setiap moda pembelajaran tentunya perlu disiasati agar tidak menimbulkan kebosanan pada pemelajar, salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran digital interaktif yang tersedia yaitu Wordwall. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi proses pengembangan dan optimalisasi penggunaan Wordwall di kelas BIPA sebagai media penunjang yang efektif. Selain itu juga berupaya untuk mengukur efektivitas pemanfaatan Wordwall dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penyebaran kuesioner kepada pemelajar, teknik wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Responden dalam penelitian adalah pemelajar di kelas BIPA 2 dan BIPA 3 di KBRI Bern, Swiss pada periode spring semester yaitu antara bulan Maret – Juni 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengembangan dan efektivitas penggunaan Wordwall dalam pembelajaran di kelas BIPA 2 dan BIPA 3 dapat tercapai secara optimal yang diidentifikasi melalui perolehan skor mayoritas pemelajar dan konformitas jawaban mereka saat wawancara. Adapun implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media ajar berbasis digital yaitu Wordwall di kelas BIPA turut menunjang keberhasilan tujuan pembelajaran dan menjadi terobosan baru dalam pengajaran BIPA.

Abstract

Materialisme menjadi salah satu aliran filsafat yang masih relevan hingga saat ini, khususnya pada era globalisasi. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis representasi materialism dalam cerpen “Titin Pulang dari Saudi” karya Radhar Panca Dahana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pedekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan materialisme dengan paradigma criticism. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materialisme direpresentasikan pada tokoh-tokoh pada cerpen ini. Titin sebagai tokoh utama terjebak dalam arus meterialisme dan konsumerisme. Eksistensi Titin bergantung pada materi yang dimilikinya. Kesimpulannya, cerpen “Titin Pulang dari Saudi” karya Radhar Panca Dahana menunjukkan bahwa materialisme dan konsumerisme masih melekat dalam masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya masyarakat kelas bawah. Materi menjadi penanda eksistensi seseorang.

Abstract

Dee Lestari's short story Filosofi Kopi (The Philosophy of Coffee) not only tells the story of Ben and Jody's journey in building a coffee shop, but also delves into the existential meaning and absurdity of life. This study explores the absurdity of the philosophical journey through an existentialist approach in Filosofi Kopi. Coffee in this story is positioned as a symbol of Ben and Jody's struggle to face the duality of idealism and pragmatism, specifically Ben's obsession with coffee perfection and Jody's pragmatic view, oriented toward profit. The analysis reveals that the absurdity of perfection, shaken by the presence of Twix coffee, prompts both characters to engage in a profound reflection on the meaning and purpose of life. Ben realizes that perfection lies not only in complexity but also in authenticity and the ability to touch the soul. Meanwhile, Jody begins to appreciate the profound philosophy embedded in coffee. Within the existentialist framework, Coffee Philosophy offers the perspective that humans can find harmony by accepting the absurdity of life and creating personal meaning.

Abstract

This study examines Roblox as a digital cultural space that constructs and represents adolescent identity through Umberto Eco's semiotic approach. Roblox functions not only as a game platform but also as an open text comprising visual signs, social symbols, and complex narratives. This studi is based on a literature review from nine prior empirical studies, this research analyzes how avatars, virtual environments, Robux economy, and user communities shape diverse systems of meaning. Findings show that Roblox serves as a site for identity construction, simulation of social values, and reproduction of dominant discourses such as capitalism and gender performance. The study concludes that Roblox opens up possibilities for symbolic awareness and digital literacy education through participatory experiences. It underscores the importance of semiotic literacy to navigate today's complex and evolving digital culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cultural communication strategies used by teachers in shaping the characters of cageur, bageur, and pinter among high school students in Cianjur Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method in a public high school that integrates Sundanese cultural values into its character education program. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, school leaders, and students, classroom and school cultural activity observations, and documentation studies of character education programs and policies. The findings indicate that teachers apply cultural communication strategies through role modeling, the use of Sundanese language and local expressions, culturally relevant narratives aligned with students’ lives, and dialogic and participatory communication in the classroom. These strategies are strengthened by school culture and regional policies that emphasize the philosophies of cageur, bageur, pinter, and Pancawaluya. This facilitates the internalization of healthy living, good morals, and holistic intelligence among students. The study concludes that teachers act as cultural communicators and character-building agents who bridge Sundanese local wisdom with the demands of 21st-century education.
