Abstract

The transformation in the national evaluation system from the National Examination to the Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA), has a direct impact and problem, especially for students and teachers related to adaptation and competency improvement. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of high school teachers in Lampung Province in developing competency assessments and character surveys as the main component of MCA. The Lampung Province MKKS as partners played an important role in selecting, permitting, and following up on the results of the training activities of 45 participating teachers. The method of this activity are demonstrations, simulations, and workshops that were focused on training skills in developing competency assessment instruments and character surveys. Teachers’ improvement knowledge and skills were measured through pretest, posttest, and product assessment. The results of the analysis showed that the teachers experienced a significant increase in ability as indicated by the average normalized gain score of 0.12, the maximum score for the teacher's ability reached 85 out of 100, there were no teachers score = 0, and > 75% of teachers responded positively to the community service activities. The results of the product assessment are good categorized, which were presenting the teachers’ success in developing the instrument. These finding indicate that the training activity could be declared successful.

Abstract

Online learning is a learning interaction solution during the Covid-19 Pandemic. A Learning Management System (LMS) is essential to facilitate the implementation of online learning. Teachers can use many LMS. Schoology and Google Classroom are LMS that teachers can use in online learning. However, the facts show that most junior high school teachers need help utilizing Schoology and Google classrooms in online learning. Therefore, technical guidance activities are carried out to increase teacher knowledge, understanding, and skills in utilizing Schoology and google classroom in online learning. The method used in this activity is job training, divided into off and on-the-job training. Off-the-job training is carried out to increase teachers' knowledge and understanding of the use of Schoology and google classroom in online learning. The resulting output is an increase in teacher knowledge and experience as indicated by the n-gain between the scores before (pretest) and after (posttest) attending the training. On-the-job training is carried out to improve the skills of teachers in utilizing Schoology and google classroom in online learning. The results of this activity show an increase in teacher knowledge, understanding, and skills in using Schoology and google classroom in online learning.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to produce learning assessment guide products that describe the increased knowledge and skills of the lecturers of the Medical Laboratory Technology Study Program. This activity is carried out in the form of a workshop that combines lecturing, simulation, and evaluation strategies. The activity, which was carried out on 20-22th December 2022 in the Hall Room of the Tanjungkarang Polytechnic Medical Laboratory Technology Department, involved 15 active participants. The results of the activity showed that the participants experienced an increase in knowledge and skills with an average gain score 0.40 out of 1.00 (medium category) and the Learning Assessment Guideline product produced by the participants illustrates the increase in the quality of knowledge and skills acquired by the participants.
