Abstract

Steam power generation is power generation’s technology that using rankine cycle which the chemical energy from the fuel converted into heat to heating the water until became mechanical energy whose moved the turbin and then converted again into electricity in generator. Many factors affect the efficiency of steam power generation. Temperature and pressure are the main parameters of the measurement of their effectiveness. And the value of temperature and pressure is influenced by the volume level of the steam drum. It is therefore necessary to assess the volume level of the steam drum to obtain the appropriate steam drum volume level to obtain optimum steam power generation work. In this research, the variable of level volume used is 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60%. In condition of non-steady state saturated steam with operating conditions of AFR in 16,5 and fuel flow rate in 1,.51 l/h. The process is done until the target of 25 bar pressure is reached. And based on the research results obtained that the optimum conditions of boiler is at 50% level volume.

Abstract

The conditions employed in the process of mild fraction and the weight fraction of the Polyetilen therepetalite yield, under the standard conditions of separator will only separate the phases of the gas and the phases, and the energy contained in the compound. But with optimum operating conditions it will be demanded on the volume of the lower product and product produced by the separator (SP-02). To obtain optimal conditions, trial-error calculations are performed in several different operating conditions. The optimal condition is the condition in which the separator can produce the lower component volume of the product plus the presence of a gas that is levivated into liquid fuel. Optimum conditions that have been calculated by the trial-error method will be tried in the actual process, but in fact the results of trial-error calculations and actually vary due to the separating factor separator performance (SP-02)

Abstract

In Indonesia, there is very little waste treatment. Especially plastic waste that is difficult to decompose and difficult to process. Lack of handling of plastic waste and the number of people who use plastic cause the waste is endless. In this study, a prototype design was made to convert plastic waste into liquid fuel. Plastic waste is processed by the pyrolysis process. Plastic waste used is a type of Polypropylene (PP). In the pyrolysis process, plastic waste will be heated in the reactor so that it will produce gas and liquid in the form of oil and wax residues. The product is produced in the pyrolysis process with the raw material of Polyprolylen, which is a liquid fuel whose quality is close to gasoline
