Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing channels and institutions involved in the marketing of tilapia in Kupang Village, Lampihong Subdistrict, Balangan Regency, to know the structure of the tilapia market, analyze costs, profits, marketing margins and the price portion received by producers. This research was done intentionally by the census method and case study research design and data collection by interview. The results showed four marketing channels for tilapia, namely I: cultivators and collectors, II: cultivators, collectors, and retailers, III: cultivators, collectors and wholesalers and IV: farmers, traders, wholesalers and retailers. Market structure is monolithic competition. The total marketing channel I channel is IDR 11,000 per kg, the portion of the price received by farmers is 67.64%, the marketing cost is IDR 1,335 per kg and the profit gained is IDR 9,665 per kg; channel II's total marketing margin is Rp. 17,000 per kg, the portion of the price received by farmers is 57.5%, the marketing cost is Rp. 3,785 per kg, and the profit received is 13,215 per kg; total channel III marketing margin is Rp. 17,500 per kg, part of the price received by farmers is 56.79%, marketing costs Rp. 3,192.5 per kg and profits received Rp. 14.307.5 per kg; total channel IV marketing margin is Rp. 15,000 per kg, part of the price received by farmers is 60.52%, marketing costs Rp. 6,385 per kg and profits received 9,855 per kg. Channel I efficiency value: 3.92%, II; 9.46%, III: 7.88%, and channel IV, which is 16.80%. Channel I is the most efficient because the marketing institution is smaller, namely 3.92%.

Abstract

In Tumih Village, Wanaraya District, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan Province, this study attempts to assess the strategy and growth of the agricultural sector as well as the level of community engagement in relation to agriculture. The settlement of Tumih itself has excellent potential for agriculture, particularly rice production. The analytical technique used employs the Strength Field Analysis approach to identify development plans and Participation Strength Analysis to identify the level of community involvement in agriculture in Tumih Village while determining the agricultural sector's strategy. The analysis' findings indicate that the key influencing elements for agricultural development plans in Tumih Village are the availability of human resources in the agricultural sector, particularly in the case of rice, and the farmers' receptivity to new technology. A hindrance in Tumih Village is the absence of irrigation and agricultural technologies. With only 36.5 percent, the assessment of the level of community involvement in planning for agricultural growth is still insufficient.

Abstract

Masalah gizi yang terjadi pada masa tertentu akan menimbulkan masalah pembangunan dimasa yang akan datang. Keterlambatan dalam memberikan pelayanan gizi akan berakibat kerusakan yang sulit dan bahkan mungkin tidak dapat ditolong. Oleh karena itu, usaha-usaha peningkatan gizi terutama harus ditunjukkan pada bayi atau anak balita dan ibu hamil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsumsi pangan, pengeluaran pangan dan pengetahuan gizi ibu rumah tangga dan mengetahui pengaruh konsumsi pangan, pengeluaran pangan dan pengetahuan gizi ibu terhadap kejadian stunting pada balita. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada rumah tangga di wilayah pinggirann sungai Kalimantan Selatan. Jenis penelitian asosiatif, dengan menggunakan metode wawancara dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 180 sampel rumah tangga, 102 responden (55,66%) dengan kategori konsumsi pangan beragam dan 78 responden (43,33%) dengan kategori konsumsi pangan tidak beragam. Selanjutnya untuk pengeluaran pangan terdapat 120 responden (66,67%) termasuk kedalam kategori proporsi pengeluaran pangan rendah dan 60 responden (33,33%) termasuk kedalam kategori proporsi pengeluaran pangan tinggi. Pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi menunjukkan 92 responden (51,11%) dengan kategori pengetahuan cukup, dan 88 responden (48,88%) pengetahuan baik. Dan hanya variabel konsumsi pangan berpengaruh dominan terhadap kejadian stunting balita yang bermukim pada rumah tangga di wilayah pinggiran sungai.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity of food consumption and its relationship with the incidence of stunting in children under five in the lowlands of South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The research location is in Batang Alai Selatan District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. This research is an associative type of research using primary and secondary data sourced from respondents, and BPS Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The diversity of food consumption in stunting toddlers was first carried out with a 24-hour food recall and analyzed using the Expected Food Pattern (PPH) approach. The relationship between the diversity of food consumption and the incidence of stunting in children under five was carried out by Chi Square analysis. The results showed that the PPH score for the diversity of food consumption under five reached 76.44, indicating that the criteria were less diverse because it was still dominated by the grain food group (52.8%) and animal food (38.3%). The results of the Chi Square analysis show that the diversity of food consumption with the incidence of stunting in children under five in the study area has an Asymp value. Sig. (2-sided) 0.000 < 0.05, and the calculated Chi Square value is 20.17 > Chi Square table 3.841, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the diversity of food consumption and the incidence of stunting in children under five.

Abstract

Nutrition plays a pivotal role in nurturing quality human resources. Research consistently demonstrates that malnutrition, particularly during early childhood, significantly impacts a child's growth and development. Malnourished children tend to be smaller, thinner, and shorter, and they often experience lower cognitive and intellectual abilities, leading to decreased productivity. This study in Halong District, Balangan Regency, investigates food expenditure, maternal nutritional knowledge, and the provision of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) to understand their effects on childhood stunting. This research, employing an associative research approach, utilizes primary and secondary data collected through interviews and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings revealed that among 180 sampled families, 35 households faced food insecurity, 55 were considered food vulnerable, 40 were categorized as food insecure, and 50 fell into the food insecure category. Regarding maternal nutrition knowledge, 89 samples had sufficient knowledge, while 91 exhibited good knowledge. Lastly, for the provision of complementary feeding, 75 samples met the sufficient category, and 105 practiced good complementary feeding. The analysis demonstrated that one variable, maternal nutrition knowledge, significantly influenced the incidence of stunting. Keywords:Maternal Nutritional Knowledge, Toddlers, Stunting INTISARINutrisi memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk sumber daya manusia berkualitas. Penelitian secara konsisten menunjukkan bahwa malnutrisi, terutama pada masa anak-anak, berdampak signifikan pada pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Anak-anak yang mengalami malnutrisi cenderung lebih kecil, kurus, dan pendek, dan mereka sering mengalami kemampuan kognitif dan intelektual yang lebih rendah, yang mengakibatkan produktivitas yang menurun. Penelitian ini di Distrik Halong, Kabupaten Balangan, menyelidiki pengeluaran makanan, pengetahuan gizi ibu, dan pemberian makanan pendamping (MP-ASI) untuk memahami dampaknya pada stunting pada anak-anak. Penelitian ini, dengan pendekatan penelitian asosiatif, menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan analisis regresi linear ganda. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa dari 180 keluarga yang diambil sampel, 35 rumah tangga mengalami ketidakamanan pangan, 55 dianggap rentan pangan, 40 dikategorikan sebagai ketidakamanan pangan, dan 50 masuk ke dalam kategori ketidakamanan pangan. Mengenai pengetahuan gizi ibu, 89 sampel memiliki pengetahuan yang memadai, sedangkan 91 memiliki pengetahuan yang baik. Terakhir, untuk pemberian MP-ASI, 75 sampel memenuhi kategori yang memadai, dan 105 melakukan pemberian MP-ASI yang baik.
