Abstract

Abstrak: Biomassa tanaman Padi manjadi masalah dalam sanitasi lahan rawa pasca panen, meskipun biomassa ini dapat digunakan untuk pembanah tanah dengan pemanfaatannya belum optimal. Kearifan lokal masyarakat suku Banjar yang sudah mulai ditinggalkan diduga menjadi penyebab masalah tersebut. Kearifan lokal ini mendorong penggunaan biomassa Padi secara optimal untuk membenahi tanah sub-optimal pada tanah-tanah di lahan rawa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan biomassa Padi menjadi pembenah tanah dengan konsep kearifan lokal tajak-puntal-balik-hambur yang dikemas dalam teknologi sederhana berbentuk biochar dan kompos berbahan biomassa Padi. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan pada 36 orang masyarakat kecamatan Alalak yang pada akhir pelatihan dievaluasi pengetahuannya menggunakan formulir berisi pilihan ganda dengan pertanyaan sederhana terkait minat, kebermanfaatan dan materi pelatihan ini. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 89% terbentuknya pemahaman baru tentang fungsi, cara pembuatan dan manfaat biochar dan kompos sehingga konsep kearifan lokal masyarakat Banjar tetap dilakukan dalam model yang baru. Pembuatan biochar dan kompos dapat mengurangi masalah sanitasi lahan pada lahan budidaya Padi dan menurunkan masalah tanah di lahan sub-optimal.Abstract: Paddy's biomass is a problem in post-harvest swampland sanitation. Even though this biomass can be used for various types of soil amendment, its utilization is not yet optimal. The local wisdom of the Banjarase that has begun to be abandoned is suspected to be the cause of the problem. This local wisdom encourages the optimal use of Paddy biomass to repair on swampy soils. This activity aims to increase knowledge on the manufacture to be soil amendment with the local wisdom concept as name tajak-puntal-balik-hambur which is packaged in a simple technology in the form of biochar and compost made from rice biomass. The method used in this activity was in the form of training for the community of Alalak sub-district as many as 36 people whose knowledge was evaluated using a form containing multiple choices with simple questions related to interest, usefulness, and training of this materials. The results of the activity show that 89% new understandings emerge on the function, manufacture and benefits of biochar and compost from rice biomass so that the concept of local wisdom Banjarase is still carried out in a new model. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to assess effect of compost treatment from various local organic materials combined with agro-industrial waste to improved chemical quality of acid sulfate mineral soils, to compare of root dry weight and grain weight milled dryness of Inpara-3. This research was conducted at screen house of Polytechnic Hasnur, Barito Kuala District, South Kalimantan from November 2020 to June 2021. This study used Compeletely Randomized Design (CRD) with Tukey's Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test a=5%. There were 7 treatments used as, K0 = control. JKD = paddy straw compost 4 t ha-1 and solid decanter 2 t ha-1; JKR = paddy straw compost 4 t ha-1 and solid crumb rubber 2 t ha-1; SKD = empty fruit bunch compost 4 t ha-1 and solid decanter 2 t ha-1; SKR = empty fruit bunch compost 4 t ha-1 and solid crumb rubber 2 t ha-1; PKD = compost of purun tikus (Eleocharis dulcis) 4 t ha-1 and solid decanter 2 t ha-1; PKR = compost of purun tikus 4 t ha-1 and LPKR 2 t ha-1. The treatment was 5 replication so that 35 experimental plant units. The results showed compost paddy straw combinated solid decanter reducing concentration of soluble Fe and Al and can increasing availability of P and K. Treatment of compost empty fruit bunch combinated solid decanter can be increasing pH and total N-mineral. Compost paddy straw combinated solid crumb rubber gave increasing weight on root dry and grain milled dryness. Keywords: acid sulfate soil; agroindustrial wasted; compost

Abstract

Tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) merupakan hasil samping (by product) dari pengolahan tandan buah segar kelapa sawit (TBS) menjadi crude palm oil (CPO). Dalam 10 tahun terkhir (2010-2020), jumlah perkebunan kelapa sawit dan pabrik kelapa sawit (PKS) terus meningkat, sejalan dengan minat dunia internasional terhadap hasil minyak yang diolah dari TBS, namun hal tersebut memiliki dampak besar pada keberadaan TKKS yang jumlahnya semakin banyak di landfill area pabrik. Pemanfaatan TKKS sebagai pembennah tanah menjadi potensi menguntungkan. Keuntungan bagi PKS yang dapat mengurangi penumpukan TKKS dan keuntungan bagi petani dapat memanfaatkan TKKS sebagai kompos guna membenahi tanah pertanian. Namun pemanfaatan TKKS sebagai kompos cukup sulit dilakukan, sebab bahan yang alot dan kuat. Oleh karena itu, perlu cara pendekomposisian yang efektif dengan tingkat kehancuran yang tinggi serta kompos yang dihasilkan memenuhi standar mutu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menilai kecepatan peningkatan temperatur dan kelembaban yang menentukan proses dekomposisi bahan serat TKKS serta menilai kualitas kompos dengan perlakuan berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan True Experimental Design faktorial dengan kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok kontrol (B0) yaitu serat TKKS yang tidak diberikan bioaktivator, sedangkan kelompok perlakuan yaitu serat TKKS yang diberikan bioaktivator dengan faktor tunggal berupa jenis bioaktivator yang diberikan dalam pembuatan TKKS menjadi kompos. Faktor tersebut yakni B1 (cairan EM4 500 ml + 500 ml air kondensasi AC), B2 (cairan MOL kombinasi leri, sisa sayuran dan keong mas Pomacea canaliculata 500 ml + 500 ml air kondensasi AC), B3 (leri dan bonggol pisang 500 ml + 500 ml), B4 (cairan Palm Oil Mill Effluent/ POME 1000 ml). Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yakni kecepatan dan kestabilan peningkatan temperatur dan kelembaban pada pekan pertama dan stabil turun hingga pekan ke sembilan (60 hari) yakni berturut-turut adalah perlakuan B2; B4; B3; B1; B0. Perlakuan B2 dan B4 dapat mendegradasi material serat TKKS lebih efektif, terlihat dari indeks C/N rasio yakni 21,18 dan 24,10 yang memenuhi kriteria SNI 19-7030-2004.

Abstract

The application of local organic matter is stated to be able to minimize biogeochemical constraints and increase rice yields but is a source of greenhouse gases in tidal mineral fields. Agroindustrial waste has the potential to be combined to reduce crude fiber from local organic matter. This study aims to compare the effect between materials of compost combined with agroindustry solid waste type that can improve soil properties, increase rice growth and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This research was conducted at Polytechnic Hasnur’s greenhouse from November 2020 to July 2021 with a nested completely randomized design with Tukey’s HSD test a 5%.  The treatments in this study were rice straw compost, oil palm bunch compost, and purun rat compost, each of which was 253.7 g combined with 126.8 g of crumb rubber solid waste or 126.8 g of the solid decanter. There were 6 combinations and 1 control which was repeated 5 times to make 35 experimental units. The variables observed were plant height, number of productive tillers, root volume, percentage of pyrite, soil density, methane flux, and carbon dioxide. Application of 253.7 g of rice straw compost combined with 126.8 g of solid decanter increased plant height, decreased soil density, and CH4 flux at 60 and 90 days after planting (DAP). Application of 253.7 g of straw compost combined with 126.8 g of solid decanter increased the number of tillers, root volume, and decreased pyrite. The control treatment decreased CO2 flux at 30 and 90 DAP. Application of rat purun compost combined with crumb rubber solid waste was able to reduce CO2 flux 60 DAP.

Abstract

The chemical properties of Podsolic Red-Yellow soil have pH is very acidic to slightly acidic, low to moderate percentage of C-organic, low to moderate P, and low status of K, Ca, Mg, Na, and other saturation of bases. Also, the physical characteristics of the Red-Yellow Podsolic soil show a distinctive characteristic, as bulk density soil index of 1.30 - 1.50 g.cm-3, with low water absorption. The chemical and physical properties are bad enough to make Red-Yellow Podsolic soil have a low ability to provide macronutrients needed by plants. Organic matter is proven to be able to control nutrient availability in mineral soils. The potentials for organic material that has been completely decomposed is crumb rubber solid waste. The use of crumb rubber solid waste material as organic material is expected to be able to influence the availability of macronutrients and improve the physical characteristics of the Podsolic Red-Yellow soil. This study aims to find differences in the availability of NH4+ NO3-, H2PO4-, K-exchangeable, C-organic and to compare the treatments that produce the best index of soil bulk density, increase the percentage of water content, and determine the soil temperature of Red-Yellow Podsolic with the application of crumb rubber solid waste with difference level, statistical test with through the index of mean difference Tukey’s test on level α 5%. In this research it was concluded that the application of crumb rubber solid waste could increase soil pH, provide levels of NH4+, NO3-, H2PO4, K-exchangeable, C-organic and reduce soil bulk density index, increase water content and soil temperature compared to not using crumb rubber solid waste. PCr3 treatment showed the highest yield at pH, NH4+, H2PO4, C-organic and increased water content, but it was not significantly different than PCr2 treatment, whereas PCr2 was significantly different from PCr3 in providing NO3-, K-exchangeable.

Abstract

Pencegahan dan pengobatan gejala Covid-19 terus diupayakan oleh semua pihak melalui berbagai tindakan, salah satunya mengkonsumsi hasil tanaman yang dikatagorikan sebagai tanaman obat. Hal ini dipercaya dapat meningkatkan imunitas maupun menyembuhkan gejala yang dirasa menyerupai gejala Covid-19 seperti demam, batuk, bersin, diare serta kelelahan letih dan lunglai. Tingginya minat terhadap hasil dan produk turunan dari tanaman tersebut membuat sebagian produk cukup sulit untuk ditemukan, oleh karena itu perlunya melakukan budidaya secara mandiri untuk mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap produk yang dijual dipasaran. Kecamatan Alalak juga menjadi wilayah transit yang ingin melakukan perjalanan ke Marabahan, Banjabaru, Banjarmasin dan wilayah Kalimantan Tengah, sehingga mudahnya masyarakat setempat berinteraksi langsung dengan orang dari luar daerah. Oleh karena itu, dengan kondisi yang demikian perlu dilakukan pengembangan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat yang berorientasi pada pemanfaatan pekarangan sebagai tempat bertani sederhana, terlebih meninjau letak Kecamatan Alalak yang menjadi bagian wilayah strategis khusus Provinsi dan mewabahnya pandemi Covid-19 pada wilayah transmisi, guna membangun dan memperkuat ketahanan kesehatan keluarga. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk menyebarluaskan pengetahuan tentang teknik budidaya tanaman obat dan menilai kebermanfaatannya melalui metode analisis kualiatif - kuantitatif dengan pengisian angket pra dan pasca kegiatan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terdapat respon positif terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan kebermanfaatan pasca kegiatan.

Abstract

Demand for crumb rubber and block rubber from abroad to increase thus encouraging crumb rubber agro industry factories in Indonesia to increase of the production, but this is not matched by environmental quality that should be increasingly considered. Pollution that appears to be seen in the form of changes in the color of water and solid material from the washing of latex crumbs as sludge which leaves a damaged latex, mixed with wood and other inorganic materials. In the process of handling liquid waste in Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) ponds, liquid waste can be recycled so that it can be reused to wash lumps and latex crumbs, but solid waste in the form of activated sludge at the bottom of the WWTP ponds containing damaged rubber with inorganic materials has become a polluter in the factor. In this research, the characteristics of the solid waste are analyzed to be used as soil amendment material of determining the appropriate length of incubation different, so that the waste is indeed feasible as soil amendment. This research was conducted at August 2019 to February 2020 with compare the results of the three treatment levels for the incubation period of solid waste with code T1 = 60 days after being removed from the WWTP pond; T2 = 120 days after being removed from the WWTP ponds; T3 = 180 days after being removed from the WWTP ponds, which was four repeated. Method in parametric research as temperature with mercury thermometer, color of waste compare with Munsell's soil, texture of material with skin sensing method, particle size with 1 inch sieve, moisture content with gravimatric method, and bulk density with sample ring method, as well as chemical properties of solid waste with observational variables i.e. pH (H2O) is measured with digital pH meter, Fe-total with the ortho-phenanthroline spectrophotometry method, Lead (Pb) b with the spectrophotometric HNO3 method, C-organic with the Walkley-Black spectrophotometric method, N-total with the Kjeldahl’s method, P2O5 with the Olsen’s spectrophotometric method, C-organic with the Walkley-Black’s spectrophotometric method, K2O with Morgan’s spectrophotometry method, and C / N ratio with dividing the index C of N. The best treatment is based on the approach required by SNI 19-7030-2004 and the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No. 261 / KPTS / SR.310 / M / 4/2019. From the results of this study it was concluded that the solid waste in the T2 treatment was the best treatment that has physical properties with a temperature character of 28.6 °C, a blackish gray color with an index of 5BG 4/1, a fine textured soft lumpy, with particle size <25 mm, content water (8.7%) and bulk density (0.81 g.cm-3), as well as chemical properties with a pH of 7.02; Fe-total (0.00104 ppm); Lead (Pb) <0.01 ppm; C-organic (11.21%); N-total (1.37%); P2O5 (1.33%); K2O (0.56%) and C / N ratio of 8.18.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter bagi anak muda sangat diperlukan terlebih di era revolusi industri 4.0 dan pergerakan nilai sosial 5.0. Gerakan pramuka menjadi salah satu gerakan positif bagi anak muda dalam pencapaian karakter yang lebih hebat dan kuat dimasa sekarang maupun untuk membangun Indonesia dimasa yang akan datang. Salah satu kegiatan yang berimplikasi positif terhadap lingkungan kemasyarakatan adalah pembekalan pramuka pandega dengan ilmu dan keterampilan membuat pupuk organik. Peran pemuda pramuka dapat dilibatkan sebagai bagian masyarakat yang memiliki jiwa dan semangat sosial yang tinggi sehingga nilai positif dapat terus berlanjut, oleh karena itu anak muda kader pramuka pandega perlu diberikan pelatihan keterampilan sebagai bekal dimasyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada Sabtu, 18 September 2021 bersama Gerakan Pramuka Gugus Depan 03-167/ 03-168 Banjarmasin di markas KAHMI Center, dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi serta diakhir kegiatan dilakukan evaluasi materi melalui pengisian kuis di google form. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik pada tim pramuka racana pandega memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa dari berbagai latar belakang pendidikan, sebab yang akan diterapkan kemasyarakat tidak hanya dari satu keilmuan saja, melainkan harus memiliki ilmu pengetahuan lain yang relevan dengan perkembangan bangsa, tentunya harus diimbangi dengan wawasan sikap dan karakter yang benar sesuai nilai konsensus kebangsaan.

Abstract

In increasing latex production, the government recommends the use of superior clones in the form of rubber plant stumps, but the drawback is that vegetative growth is not optimal if the treatment is not appropriate, especially the mortality percentage of buds from budding buds from grafting is quite high due to poor microclimate, poor of nutrients, soil water content and low phytohormones. Therefore, a humectant material that contains nutrients is needed as well as being able to store water properly. Stimulation of vegetative growth can be stimulated by the administration of growth regulators. This study aims to compare the effect of various humectants with the addition of various solutions of growth regulators. The experimental design used a factorial completely randomized design with treatment using solid waste rubber crumbs, solid decanter, and chicken manure as humectants with each dose of 200 g which was doused with a solution of growth regulators, namely coconut water, onion, and leri solution with volume 200 ml per day. The results showed that there was a positive interaction between 200 g crumb rubber solid waste and coconut water solution on the increase in shoot height and the growth of the number of rubber umbrellas. The application of crumb rubber solid waste with leri was able to stimulate the formation of denser leaves. Application of chicken manure with coconut water solution stimulates lateral root growth.

Abstract

Tomato is a vegetable commodity that is needed on a large scale so its cultivation needs to be intensified. Tomato production is often constrained due to productivity and limited land, thereby reducing genetic potential and poor fertility. Therefore, intensification measures are needed in optimizing productivity and land limitations, especially the problem of urban farming. Tea dregs and cow dung become potential as well as alternatives in increasing soil fertility, especially for urban farmers who use urban land and yards for cultivation activities. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of a combination of tea dregs and cow dung at an efficient and effective dose on the increase in plant height, leaf surface area, root volume, dry weight of tomato plants. This research was conducted from February 2021 to June 2021 with a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with a BNJ 5% analysis model. The combination treatments used were tea dregs (A) and cow dung (S) with a dose level of A0 = 0 g/polybag; A1 = 10 g/ polybag; A2 = 20 g/ polybag; A3 = 30 g/ polybag; S0 = 0 g/ polybag; S1 = 29.7 g/ polybag; S2 = 44.5 g/ polybag; S3 = 74.2 g/polybag combined between types of materials and dose levels so that there are 16 factorial combinations that were repeated 3 times. The results of this study indicated that treatment of A1S3 was effective and efficient in increasing plant height gain, encouraging the formation of leaf surface area, increasing root growth, and producing tomato plant dry weight.
