Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Makmur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Design dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design, penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Makmur,. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument berupa tes yaitu tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest), dan angket pada pembelajaran fisika. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil tes digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan Uji independent sample t-test. Dari hasil analisa diperoleh sig (2-tailed) = 0,000 dan dengan α = 0,05 yang berarti sig (2-tailed) 0,000 ≤ α = 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa H1 diterima artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor. Hasil perhitungan setiap  pertanyaan angket respon siswa diperoleh persentase  87,3% siswa sangat setuju dengan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching Learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an assessment sheet as a measuring tool for the level of scientific literacy in the 4.0 revolution era for high school students in North Aceh. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model which consists of 5 steps, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Samples were selected by stratified cluster random sampling and purposive sampling. The instruments used were in the form of a module quality assessment sheet filled out by expert validators and a questionnaire response sheet for teachers and students. The data analysis used is the percentage formula. The average percentage of module quality assessment questionnaire sheets obtained from 6 validators is 93.00% while the responses of teachers and students are 84.65; 83.81%. The results of the research can be concluded that the assessment sheet as a measuring tool for the level of scientific literacy in the 4.0 revolution era for high school students throughout North Aceh which has been developed is suitable for use in chemistry learning and it is hoped that there will be further research for other materials in a wider scope

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains siswa dalam pembelajaran sains pada aspek pengetahuan konten, prosedural dan epistemik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah 55 orang siswa kela VII SMPN 2 Kota Lhokseumawe tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah soal tes literasi sains yang terdiri dari aspek pengetahuan konten, prosedural dan epistemik dengan kompetensi menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah, menafsirka data dan fakta secara ilmiah, menyusun inkuiri ilmiah, menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah dan evaluasi inkuiri ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa kriteria sedang dengan persentase 49,65%. Pada pengetahuan konten menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah dan menafsirkan data dan fakta secara ilmiah dengan persentase masing-masing 56,4% dan 51,2 % dalam kategori “sedang”. Pada pengetahuan prosedural persentase menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah adalah 45,6% dalam kategori “sedang” dan kompetensi paling rendah adalah menyusun inkuiri ilmiah dan mengevaluasi inkuiri ilmiah dengan persentase masing-masing 25,6% dan 26,2%. Persentase tertinggi pada pengetahuan epistemik kompetensi menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah yaitu 60,1% kategori “tinggi” untuk menafsirkan data dan fakta secara ilmiah serta evaluasi inkuiri ilmiah dengan persentase masing-masing 52,7% dan 53,2% dengan kategori “sedang”. Peningkatan literasi sains siswa dapat dilakukan dengan membiasakan menggunakan soal-soal tes berbasis literasi.Abstract:  This study aims to measure students' scientific literacy skills in learning science in the aspects of content, procedural and epistemic knowledge. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The research sample was 55 seventh-grade students of SMPN 2 Lhokseumawe city in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research instrument used is a scientific literacy test question which consists of aspects of content, procedural and epistemic knowledge with the competence to explain phenomena scientifically, interpret data and facts scientifically, compile scientific inquiries, explain phenomena scientifically and evaluate scientific inquiry. The results showed that the students' scientific literacy ability was moderate with a percentage of 49.65%. Content knowledge explains phenomena scientifically and interprets data and facts scientifically with a percentage of 56.4% and 51.2%, respectively, in the "medium" category. In procedural knowledge, the percentage of scientifically explaining phenomena is 45.6% in the “moderate” category and the lowest competence is compiling scientific inquiries and evaluating scientific inquiries with percentages of 25.6% and 26.2%, respectively. The highest percentage of epistemic knowledge of competence to explain scientific phenomena is 60.1% in the "high" category to interpret data and facts scientifically and scientific inquiry evaluations with 52.7% and 53.2% respectively in the "medium" category. Improving students' scientific literacy can be done by getting used to using literacy-based test questions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of the POGIL model on the ability of the science process and scientific literacy of students, in addition to knowing how the MFI model affects science process skills and scientific literacy of students and the comparison of POGIL and MFI models on science process skills and scientific literacy of Lhokseumawe City Junior High School students. This research uses an approach to quantitative research. The population of this research is the seventh-grade students of SMP in Lhokseumawe city. The research sample taken is SMPN students Arun, SMPN 1 Lhokseumawe, and SMPN 2 Lhokseumawe every 3 schools that consist of 2 experimental classes (POGIL and MFI models) and 1 control class (conventional) with a total of 9 classes. The research instrument used is a test question for knowing students' literacy skills, practicum guide sheets, and observation sheets to determine students' science process skills. In the class with the POGIL model, the average value of scientific literacy ability is 32.27, and science process skills are 81.32. In class with the MFI model, the average value of science literacy skills is 26.84, and process skills science 88.71. While the control class has an average value of scientific literacy ability of 12.77 and science process skills of 68.54. Based on Test Test output Statistics data of students' scientific literacy and science process skills are known as the value of asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00 < 0.05, it can be concluded that the POGIL model has a significant effect on students' scientific literacy and science process skills.  The results for the MFI class scores of students' scientific literacy skills and science process skills, because of the Asymp value. Sig. (0.000) < (0.05) so that learning with the MFI model affects the scientific literacy ability and science process skills of students. Classes taught with POGIL and MFI models with Asymp grades. Sig. (0.099 > (0.05) means that there is no significant difference in students' scientific literacy skills between students who are taught with the POGIL model and students who are taught with the MFI model but there is a significant difference in science process skills of students with POGIL and MFI models, where the MFI model students' science process skills higher than the POGIL model

Abstract

The development of science, technology, and society requires humans to have skills beyond literacy and numeracy that are needed to survive. Scientific literacy is the focus of learning in the 21st century. Currently, the scientific literacy index of students in Indonesia is still low. Chemistry is a part of science. Chemical literacy is the ability of students to identify, analyze, and process chemical concepts to solve everyday problems and communicate scientifically the chemical phenomena that occur around them. Colloidal material in chemistry learning has some abstract concepts close to everyday life. So the purpose of this study was to determine the chemical literacy ability of students on colloidal material in North Aceh and Lhokseumawe. The subjects of this study were 217 students of class XII, in SMA North Aceh and Lhokseumawe. The instrument used in this study is a chemical literacy question in the form of a description consisting of 8 PISA standard chemical literacy questions. The result of this research is that the highest student answers are on the literacy scale with nominal criteria, while the lowest is multidimensional criteria. According to the distribution of chemical literacy scores in the Aceh region, the highest was in the medium-grade category with 142 students, and the lowest was in the high-grade category with 14 students.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini dirancang untuk: 1) menghasilkan instrumen penilaian keterampilan 4C (Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity) siswa pada materi sifat koligatif larutan 2) mengetahui tingkat kelayakan dan respon guru terhadap instrumen penilaian keterampilan 4C yang mencakup tingkat validitas materi, validitas instrumen, uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba kelompok besar. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa MAN 3 Aceh Utara kelas XII IPA 2 dan 3 dan SMAN 1 Muara Batu kelas XII IPA 1 dan 2. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Research and development (R&D). Model penelitian yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Hasil pengembangan instrumen penilaian keterampilan 4C yaitu berupa tes (soal berbasis HOTS) untuk mengukur ranah kognitif dan non tes (unjuk kerja) dengan format check list menggunakan skala likert untuk mengukur ranah afektif dan psikomotorik. Instrumen tes yang dibuat terdiri dari 25 butir soal pilihan ganda dan 2 soal uraian dengan 8 butir anak dari soal uraian. Data hasil validasi ahli materi rata-rata sebasar 86,3%, ahli instrumen rata-rata sebasar 87,3%, dengan pencapaian kriteria sangat layak digunakan. Sedangkan data hasil analisis angket kelayakan rata-rata sebesar 87,8% kategori sangat layak dan respon pendidik 87,7% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil pada didapatkan hasil validasi dari 33 soal terdapat 2 butir soal tidak valid, nilai r11 = 0,941 soal dikatakan reliabel dengan tingkat kesukaran 19 soal sedang, 14 butir soal mudah, daya pembeda 3 butir sangat baik, 19 butir soal baik, 2 butir soal cukup dan 1 soal kategori jelek. Sedangkan analisis pada kelompok besar didapatkan hasil validasi tidak terdapat soal yang tidak valid, dengan nilai r11 = 0,799 soal dikatakan reliabel. Tingkat kesukaran soal terdapat 18 soal kategori sedang, 7 soal kategori mudah. Daya pembeda dari 25 soal pilihan ganda terdapat 1 butir jelek, 8 soal cukup, 12 soal baik dan 2 soal sangat baik, yang teridiri dari 7 soal mudah dan 18 soal sedang. Sedangkan pada penilaian unjuk kerja didapatkan hasil 1 butir tidak valid dan reliabilitas kategori sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran dengan metode praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi asam, basa dan garam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian causal comparative dan menggunakan beberapa tahapan yaitu tahap observasi, tahap mengajukan pertanyaan/masalah, tahap merumuskan hipotesis, tahap mengumpulkan data, tahap menganalisis data dan tahap membuat kesimpulan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VII SMPN 6 Banda Aceh pada semester ganjil. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pretest dan posttest melalui tes hasil belajar IPA untuk keterampilan proses sains, lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa untuk keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, serta angket respon guru dan siswa untuk mengetahui tanggapan terhadap pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa kelas eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa untuk materi asam, basa dan garam dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata N-Gain untuk indikator keterampilan proses sains pada kelas eksperimen yaitu: pengamatan = 0,71; klasifikasi = 0,71; perencanaan percobaan = 0,40; penggunaan alat dan bahan = 0,42; komunikasi = 0,46; dan penerapan konsep = 0,25, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol yaitu: pengamatan = 0,56; klasifikasi = 0,44; perencanaan percobaan = 0,33; penggunaan alat dan bahan = 0,42; komunikasi = 0,27; dan penerapan konsep = 0,01.
