Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the self-readiness of students at the Malikussaleh University Education Study Program in Aceh to become professional pre-service teacher based on teacher competency standards after taking microteaching courses. The type of study is descriptive qualitative with the research subjects being student pre-service teacher at the Malikussaleh University Education Study Program who have taken microteaching courses. Data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires or questionnaires to research subjects. The questionnaire consists of an assessment of the professional competence of prospective teachers, an assessment of pedagogical competence, an assessment of social competence, and an assessment of personality. Based on the data obtained and the results of the research analysis, it can be concluded that for the assessment of the professional competence of prospective teachers, students are in the category of very good, good, and sufficient overall were 87% or 136 students. Even so, there are still 13% or 20 students who have not met the competency standards of professional pre-service teacher. In the pedagogical competency assessment, it was found that students in the very good, good, and sufficient categories were 89% or 139 students overall. And it was found that 11% or 17 students had not yet achieved general pedagogical competence. Based on social competence and personality competence, all students achieve the appropriate competence as a professional pre-service teacher.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar melalui Project Based Learning (PjBL) berorientasi eXe-Learning dan Direct Instruction berorientasi Macromedia Flash pada tingkat motivasi tinggi dan rendah pada materi laju reaksi di Universitas. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi merupakan seluruh mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Kimia yang mengikuti perkuliahan mata kuliah Kimia Dasar, berjumlah sekitar 204. Teknik sampling menggunakan Purposive Sampling sehingga didapat sampel berjumlah 60 mahasiswa, yaitu 2 kelas yang masing-masing kelas berjumlah 30 mahasiswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes soal objektif yang berjumlah 25 butir soal dan angket motivasi yang sudah valid dan reliebel.  Penelitian ini menggunakan Analis varian (ANAVA) dua Jalur dengan GLM Univariate pada data N-gain dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar melalui model PjBL berorientasi eXe-Learning dan Direct Instruction berorientasi Macromedia Flash pada tingkat motivasi tinggi dan rendah. Pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen menggunakan model PjBL berorientasi eXe-Learning memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik dengan rata-rata N-gain  sebesar 0,73 sedangkan rata-rata N-gain kelas kontrol  sebesar 0,63 sehingga didapat model PjBL berorientasi eXe-Learning lebih efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran Laju Reaksi.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to improve teachers’ understanding about how to write a scientific article through classroom action research. The program which was training about classroom action research was held for 42 teachers of MTsS and MAS Syamsuddhuha, North Aceh. The training was held face to face with health protocols. The topics were introduction of classroom action research, classroom action research with e-learning, statistics in classroom action research, anbuso program, and academic writing technique. During the training, the teachers were enthusiastic. It could be seen on a session, they asked many questions and told more about their experiences. The result of the program showed that the teachers could understand about classroom action research procedures. In academic writing session, they could identify the components that must be present in the introduction, methods, and results and discussion of the example article given. It can be concluded that the training has positive impact on the teachers.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menguatkan konsep stoikiometri sebagai dasar pemecahan masalah pada soal perhitungan kimia untuk persiapan Kompetisi Sains Nasional (KSN) dengan harapan siswa-siswa SMAN Modal Bangsa Arun dapat menjadi perwakilan Kota Lhokseumawe ke tingkat Provinsi maupun perwakilan Provinsi Aceh ke tingkat Nasional. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pada 26 Februari – 19 Maret 2022 dengan peserta adalah 5 siswa perwakilan sekolah yang akan mengikuti ajang KSN-K bidang kimia. Langkah-langkah kegiatan yang dilakukan antara lain (1) tes pengetahuan dasar terkait stoikiometri (2) persiapan analisis silabus KSN serta soal-soal KSN-K materi stoikiometri 4 tahun terakhir (3) melakukan penguatan terhadap materi stoikiometri yang terdiri dari: persamaan reaksi kimia, perhitungan stoikiometri (konsep mol), perhitungan massa dan volume (termasuk densitas), rumus empiris dan rumus molekul, bilangan Avogadro dan perhitungan konsentrasi (4) pembinaan penyelesaian soal KSN-K untuk materi stoikiometri (5) evaluasi penilaian kemajuan siswa dalam hal pemahaman materi stoikiometri pada level soal KSN-K. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi stoikiometri. Siswa mampu menyelesaikan soal-soal topik stoikiometri dengan benar dan sistematis. Hasil posttest siswa termasuk kriteria sangat tinggi dengan persentase rata-rata 86% jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan tes awal dengan rata-rata 38% dengan kriteria sangat rendah. Siswa merasa percaya diri untuk mengikuti KSN-K bidang kimia 2022. Kata kunci: penguatan konsep; stoikiometri; kompetisi sains nasional; kimia ABSTRACTThis service activity aims to strengthen the concept of stoichiometry as a basis for solving problems in chemical calculations for the preparation of national science competition (KSN) with the hope that SMAN Modal Bangsa Arun students can become representatives of Lhokseumawe City to the provincial level and representatives of Aceh Province to the National level. Implementation of activities on February 26 – March 19, 2022 with participants are 5 students representing schools who will take part in the KSN-K eventuality in the field of chemistry. The steps of the activities carried out include (1) testing basic knowledge related to stoichiometry (2) preparation of KSN syllabus analysis and KSN-K questions on stoichiometry material for the last 4 years (3) strengthening stoichiometry material consisting of: chemical reaction equations, stoichiometric calculations (mole concept), mass and volume calculations (including density), empirical formulas and molecular formulas, Avogadro's number and concentration calculations (4) problem solving guidance KSN-K for stoichiometry material (5) evaluation of student progress assessment in terms of understanding stoichiometric material at the level of KSN-K questions. The result of this activity is an increase in students' understanding of the stoichiometric material. Students can solve stoichiometry topic questions correctly and systematically. The students' post-test results included very high criteria with an average percentage of 86%, much higher than the first test with an average of 38% with very low criteria. Students feel confident to take part in KSN-K in chemistry 2022.  Keywords: concept strengthening; stoichiometry; national science competition; chemistry

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Quantum Teaching learning model assisted by digital media (edmodo) on scientific literacy and self-efficacy. The type of research conducted is experimental research using a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study included all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Muara Batu. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The sample in this study is class X MIPA 1 as the experimental class and X MIPA 2 as the control class. The experimental class was treated using the Quantum Teaching learning model while the control class was treated using the conventional learning model. The results of student literacy were obtained through a scientific literacy test instrument that had been validated and student self-efficacy was obtained through the provision of a valid student self-efficacy assessment questionnaire. Hypothesis testing in this study using independent sample t-test. The results of the t-test results of scientific literacy have a sig value of 0.038 <0.05 and the t-test results for students' self-efficacy have a sig value of 0.045 <0.05. So that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, in other words this means that there is a significant influence of the Quantum teaching learning model assisted by digital media (Edmodo) on the results of scientific literacy and self-efficacy of high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of digital media-based quantum teaching on students' self-efficacy in the learning process in terms of gender. This research is based on the lack of use of learning models and media, causing low self-efficacy owned by students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness quantum teaching of digital media-basedThis study uses a quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study amounted to 180 students, with a sample of 60 students including 30 female students and 30 male students. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique.data analysis technique used a nonparametric test (Run Test). The results of data analysis show a sig value of 0.000, this value represents that there is an influence of the digital media-based quantum teaching model on students' self-efficacy.

Abstract

Menghadapi era globalisasi di abad 21  mahasiswa harus memiliki beberapa soft skill yang akan mereka implementasikan kedalam dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis soft skill apa saja yang dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa di abad 21. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional survei. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 105 mahasiswa  yang terdiri dari 35 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Kimia, 30 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Fisika, dan 40 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Matematika. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 10 soft skill teratas yaitu  1) literasi komunikasi; 2) pemecahan masalah; 3) kerja tim;  4)  bertanggung jawab dan akuntabilitas; 5) etika profesional; 6) berpikir kritis dan  logis; 7) kreativitas dan inovasi; 8) adaptasi ; 9) belajar seumur hidup; dan 10) kepemimpinan.
