Abstract

This type of research is Classroom ActionResearch (CAR) by taking research subjects from Class X TKJ SMKS Al-Hasanah Sibuhuan. It consists of 20 students, 10 male students and 10 female students. The object taken in this study is to increase students' mathematics learning creativity in implementing classroom learning, which specializes in contextual learning strategies, as well as the teacher's role in classroom management. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was carried out in two cycles which were equipped with Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Teacher Handbooks (BPG), Student Worksheets (LKS), and test instruments including tests of students' critical thinking skills, student activity observation sheets, as well as teacher performance observation sheets managing learning. Before the instrument was used, it was tested first and obtained from the 10 tests tested there were 10 valid tests, 5 tests for cycle I and 5 tests for cycle II. The calculation shows that the test reliability coefficient is 0.84 for cycle I and 0.89 for cycle II and is stated learning creativity abilities in the first cycle obtained 65% of the minimum criteria sufficient, and for the second cycle 90%. The results of observations of student activity 79.58% of the criteria in the first cycle, increased to 88.33% in the second cycle. From the data analysis, it shows that the implementation of the actions taken has improved the teacher's ability to manage learning, from "Good enough" in cycle I to "Good" in cycle II.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu Apakah Model Pembelajaran Active learning Tipe Quiz Team dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Bentuk Aljabar. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan kelas VII Semester Ganjil TA.2023/2024 yang berjumlah 24 siswa, yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan model Active Learning Tipe Quiz Team pada pokok bahasan bentuk Aljabar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas ( PTK). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelum diberikan tindakan pengajaran dengan metode Active Learning Tipe Quiz Team nilai rata-rata tes awal siswa adalah 32,19dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 4,16% dan belum mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar, maka diberikan tindakan pada siklus I. Setelah pemberian tindakan pengajaran melalui metode Active Learning Tipe Quiz Team pada siklus I nili rata-rata tes hasil belajar I adalah 74,16 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 54,16%. Karena pada siklus I belum mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar maka dilanjutkan paa siklus II, pada siklus II ini kesalahan yang ada pada siklus I diperbaiki.. Sehingga nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa pada siklus II ini memperoleh peningkatan. Pada tes hasil belajar II nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 82,5 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 87,5% sehingga mengalami peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 8,34 dan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar33,34%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of learning in understanding associations through the Blended Learning learning model in class VII of SMP N 5 East Angkola for the 2023/2024 academic year. In this study, the sample was taken from the population using simple random sampling, namely the researcher took the sample randomly without paying attention to the strata in the population. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Research. The research subjects were class VII-2, totaling 20 people. There were 13 women and 6 men. The instrument used is a test. The test used is an essay form test with 5 questions. For final data analysis using Simple Linear Regression. The constant (a) is 12.694, meaning that if the Blended Learning influence level variable is 0, then the learning outcome volume variable has a value of 12.694. The regression coefficient for the Blended Learning variable has a positive value of 36.863, indicating that if it increases, there will be an increase of 36.863. The coefficient has a positive value, meaning that there is a positive relationship between Blended Learning and Microsoft Power Point.

Abstract

This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The sample in this study was class VII (A and B) at Panusunan Achir Hasibuan Private MTs, totaling 40 students. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Two Stay Two Stray Cooperative learning model on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in the Spss Statistics 22 program with a significance level of 5% and n=20 which is then compared against the r table to obtain a value of 0.444. rcount > rtable, namely (0.56 > 0.444) for the pretest and (0.528 > 0.444) for the posttest. The pretest results mean the experimental class and control class were 60.95 and 61.8 respectively. For the posttest results, the average score for the experimental class was 91.90 and the control class was 79.95. The pretest and posttest normality tests for the experimental class and control class have a sig > 0.05 and the homogeneity test has a sig > 0.05, so the experimental class and control class have homogeneous data conditions. For hypothesis testing, a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained. For the N-gain Score test, the experimental class obtained an average value of 79.55% and the control class obtained an average value of 45.5%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' conceptual understanding after using audio-visual media on the topic of integer operations, using five indicators of mathematical conceptual understanding in Class VII 3 at SMP N 7 Padangsidimpuan. This research is qualitative in nature. The data in this study were obtained from direct observations, interviews with teachers, and interviews with students. After the data were collected, they were analyzed using three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion drawing. Data validity was checked using data source triangulation. The subjects of this study were two Class VII teachers and 26 students from Class VII 3. The results of this study show that after learning using audio-visual media, some students experienced an improvement in their conceptual understanding. This improvement was observed across all indicators of conceptual understanding. Most students demonstrated a good understanding of integer operations, although a small number of students still struggled with this concept.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) students' difficulties in understanding the concept of arithmetic sequences and series, (2) students' difficulties in applying the principles of arithmetic sequences and series in solving problems, and (3) students' difficulties in finding information contained in sequences and arithmetic series questions. arithmetic series using the Make a Match learning model in class XI IPS 1 SMA NEGRI 8 Padangsidimpuan. The research carried out was qualitative research using qualitative descriptive methods. The subjects in this research were students of class XI IPS 1 SMA NEGRI 8 PADANGSIDIMPUAN. Data collection techniques by means of interviews with tests.The results of the research showed that the 4 students who were interviewed and completed the test questions found that the four students had different difficulties in solving sequence and series story questions. In understanding concepts, students who have difficulty will find it difficult to understand the concept of arithmetic sequences and series and will not be able to apply it to story problems for arithmetic sequences and series. When finding the information contained in the problem, students who experience difficulty will find it difficult to find the information and convert the mathematical information into the form of a mathematical model so they will experience difficulty in determining principles or formulas if the information contained in the story is not known beforehand.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the inquiry method on students' mathematical connection ability in Class X of SMK Swasta Teruna Padangsidimpuan. Mathematical connection ability is an essential competency in mathematics learning that includes students’ ability to connect mathematical concepts, relate mathematics to real-life situations, and apply various mathematical representations. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which received treatment using the inquiry method, and the control class, which was taught using conventional methods, with 20 students in each class. The instrument used in this study was a mathematical connection ability test in the form of essay questions that had been validated.The results showed that the average post-test score in the experimental class was 77.05, while in the control class it was 53.90. The independent sample t-test resulted in a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that the inquiry learning method significantly affects the improvement of students’ mathematical connection ability.

Abstract

This study aims: (1) To find out the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving by applying the Discovery Learning learning model to the subject of social arithmetic in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Muara Batang Gadis in the 2021/2022 academic year, (2) To determine the level of achievement of problem solving abilities. students' mathematics by applying the Discovery Learning learning model to the subject of social arithmetic in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Muara Batang Gadis for the 2021/2022 academic year, (3) To find out the management of learning carried out by the teacher by applying the Discovery Learning learning model based on problem solving on the subject of arithmetic Social studies in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Muara Batang Gadis teaching 2021/2022 This type of research is classroom action research. The level of problem solving ability in the first cycle is moderate with a class average score of 70.083 with 26 students (72.22%) Implementation of actions in cycle II, high The problem solving ability of students is high with a class average score of 80.47 with 35 students or 80.083% of all students. Thus it can be said that the class has been completed in learning, there are 80% of students who have a moderate level of problem solving ability.

Abstract

This The low ability of students' mathematical problem solving affects the success of a learning process. Learning model as a tool to achieve a goal. The better a learning model, the better the achievement. So one of the most important teacher tasks, before carrying out their duties is to know and apply the learning model, the model used in this study is the Number Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model.This research is a classroom action research (CAR) by taking the research subjects of Class VIII-1 students of SMP Negeri 4 Muara Batang Gadis for the academic year 2021-2022. consisting of 22 students. The objects taken in the research are students' problem solving abilities, student learning activities in the implementation of classroom learning, teacher activities that specialize in the Number Head Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model to improve students' mathematical problem solving on the subject of Two Variable Linear Equation Systems ( SPLDV). The results of this study show that the problem-solving ability of students using the Number Head Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model for Class VIII-1 students of SMP Negeri 4 Muara Batang Gadis in the 2021-2022 academic year has increased, it can be seen from the students' mathematical problem solving ability in the first cycle of 45 ,45% who completed the second cycle and 81.82% of students who completed the 22 students who took the study test. Based on the research data through the student observers, the percentage was 68.75% in the first cycle and 90% in the second cycle. Based on the research data through teacher observers, the percentage was 3.45 in the first cycle and 3.94 in the second cycle. So, it can be concluded that each cycle has increased and is included in the "very good" category and has met the research achievement criteria, so this research stops in cycle II.Based on these results, the application of the Number Head Together (NHT) learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving skills on the subject of a two-variable linear equation system in class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 4 Muara Batang Gadis in the 2021-2022 academic year.
