Abstract

Todays, digital image processing is widely used in various fields to facilitate humans in doing work by analyzing videos or images for use in decision making in the industrial world. The use of industrial machine technology is one of the most important factors in efforts to facilitate human work, but an industrial machine is inseparable from work failure that can hinder the production process and cause harm to the industry. This study aims to detect a failure in industrial machinery by using video data of industrial machine movements recorded using a webcam camera Image processing technology has advanced significantly over the last decade. Its application to low-power mobile devices has attracted many research groups in relation to new contexts such as augmented reality, visual search, object recognition, etc. As general purpose computing emerges for embedded GPUs and their programming models such as OpenGL ES 2.0 and OpenCL, mobile processors will gain more parallel computing capabilities. Therefore, adapting these advances to accelerate mobile image processing algorithms has become a hot topic. In this paper, our interest is based on a review of the current challenging tasks associated with mobile image processing using serial and parallel computing in several new application contexts.

Abstract

The development of computer technology from time to time has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including the education system. This study aims to analyze the impact of the evolution of computer technology on the education system, especially in terms of learning methods, access to information, and efficiency of educational administration. The problems raised in this study are the extent to which computer developments affect the education system and how the integration of these technologies can improve the quality of learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach and field observations in several universities. Data were collected through interviews with lecturers and education staff, as well as documentation related to the use of computer technology in the education process. The results of the study show that the development of computer technology has a positive impact on the education system, including through bold learning, the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), and the digitalization of campus administration. However, the study also identified challenges in its implementation, including gaps in access and technological skills. Thus, adaptation to computer developments must be accompanied by training and infrastructure improvements so that the benefits can be felt evenly.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan kepada masyarakat, khususnya siswa Sekolah Dasar, mengenai dampak negatif dari penggunaan internet serta pentingnya mengakses internet secara sehat dan aman. Di era digital saat ini, internet telah menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Penggunaan internet memberikan berbagai manfaat bagi siswa, seperti kemudahan akses informasi, sumber belajar yang beragam, serta sarana komunikasi dan kolaborasi. Namun demikian, penggunaan internet yang tidak bijak berpotensi menimbulkan dampak negatif, seperti kecanduan, paparan konten berbahaya, dan penyalahgunaan media sosial. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman mengenai konsep internet sehat menjadi sangat penting agar siswa mampu memaksimalkan manfaat positif internet serta menghindari risiko yang ditimbulkannya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode sosialisasi kepada siswa SD N Pintu Padang mengenai cara bijak dalam menggunakan internet. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa terkait internet sehat, sehingga diharapkan mereka mampu memanfaatkan internet secara optimal dan aman dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya dalam kegiatan belajar. Ada beberapa jenis sosial media yang sering digunakan perserta didik yaitu : WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Telegram, X (Twitter), Facebook Messenger, Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik di lingkungan SD N Pintu Padang mengenai internet sehat, sehingga dapat Menggunakan internet  secara sehat dan positif bagi peserta didik di  sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to build a decision support system in KIP scholarship acceptance at Graha Nusantara University Using the Copras Method. Acceptance of the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) scholarship at universities often faces challenges in determining prospective recipients who best meet the criteria objectively and transparently. To overcome this problem, in order to facilitate work and avoid data calculation errors with the old system, a decision support system was built that can help make decisions about KIP recipients quickly and more accurately using the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method. The COPRAS method was chosen because it is able to handle the multi-criteria decision-making process by considering the weight of interest of each alternative assessed. This system is designed to process various scholarship selection parameters, such as economic conditions, academic achievement, and other additional criteria, in order to produce a more accurate and fair ranking of prospective scholarship recipients. The results of the study show that the application of the COPRAS method in the SPK can increase efficiency and objectivity in the KIP scholarship selection process, which are the variables or criteria for this study, there are 5 criteria, namely, Academic achievement, Parental dependencies, Student ability, Parental income, Distance of residence. From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that this method is able to provide good results and is close to the results of the assessment used by the Campus. This research can provide effective KIP Scholarship Acceptance results according to the Copras model test with a value of 99.972. This decision support system is expected to help make it easier to select students who are eligible for KIP

Abstract

This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The sample in this study was class VII (A and B) at Panusunan Achir Hasibuan Private MTs, totaling 40 students. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Two Stay Two Stray Cooperative learning model on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in the Spss Statistics 22 program with a significance level of 5% and n=20 which is then compared against the r table to obtain a value of 0.444. rcount > rtable, namely (0.56 > 0.444) for the pretest and (0.528 > 0.444) for the posttest. The pretest results mean the experimental class and control class were 60.95 and 61.8 respectively. For the posttest results, the average score for the experimental class was 91.90 and the control class was 79.95. The pretest and posttest normality tests for the experimental class and control class have a sig > 0.05 and the homogeneity test has a sig > 0.05, so the experimental class and control class have homogeneous data conditions. For hypothesis testing, a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained. For the N-gain Score test, the experimental class obtained an average value of 79.55% and the control class obtained an average value of 45.5%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the direct influence of the Inquiry Learning learning model to improve Mathematics learning outcomes for class VII Al-Yusufiah Huta Holbung Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is classroom action research using two cycles carried out in the second semester with material about lines and angles. The population in this study was 29 class VII students at the Al-Yusufiah Huta Holbung Islamic Boarding School. The class used as a sample is class VII-I of the Al-Yusufiah Huta Holbung Islamic Boarding School which will use the Inquiry Learning method assisted by student worksheets (LKS) in learning. The ability of students' learning outcomes in mathematics learning in class VII-I of the Al-Yusufiah Huta Holbung Islamic Boarding School on lines and angles in the first cycle increased by 55% with the "sufficient" category, then in the second cycle it increased to 86.21% with the "good" category. ”. The increase in teacher and student observation results on line and angle material in cycle I averaged 71.5% (adequate) observation results. the results of the second cycle of observations were 77.5% (Good).

Abstract

The research method used is classroom action research utilizing two cycles conducted in the second semester with the material of Geometry and Spatial Structures using the Project-Based Learning approach. The sample in this study is students in class VIII^1 at SMP Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan, totaling 32 students. The results of the study indicate that the interest in learning Mathematics through the Project-Based Learning method among grade VIII^1 students at SMP Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan in the 2023/2024 academic year increased. This can be seen from the increase in the average initial test score of 57.34%. The students’ learning interest test scores in cycle I meeting I were 66.6 and in meeting II were 80 with an average score of 73.3%. In cycle II meeting III, the students’ learning interest test scores were 86.6 and in meeting IV were 100 with an average score of 93.3%. Meanwhile, the results of the teacher’s observations in cycle I meeting I were 66.6 and in meeting II were 79.1 with an average score of 72.85. In cycle II meeting II, the teacher’s observation results were 83.33 and in cycle IV were 95.83 with an average score of 89.55%.

Abstract

This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 3 Angkola Timur. The subjects in this research were students in class IX-2 of SMP Negeri 3 East Angkola for the 2023-2024 academic year, totaling 20 students. The object of this research is the application of the Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning model to the sub-subject of cubes and blocks. From the results of the first cycle of observations, it is known that at the first meeting the observation results were 65.5 and the observation results at the second meeting were 75 with an average of 71.25%. Meanwhile, the results of the second cycle of observations showed that at the third meeting the observation results were 80 and the observation results at the fourth meeting were 87.5 with an average of 77.5%. The results of the initial test obtained an average score of 55% with 25% or 5 students completing their studies, while 75% or 15 students did not complete their studies. After taking action in cycle I in class IX-2, carrying out the first learning outcomes test, the average score in cycle I was 65.25, 13 students or 65% completed their studies, while 7 students or 35% did not complete their studies. In cycle II in class IX-2, the implementation of the first cycle learning outcomes test obtained an average score of 74.5, 17 students who completed their studies or 85%, while those who did not complete their studies were 3 people or 15%. By implementing the Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning model, students' mathematics learning outcomes can be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student’s mathematical problem solving skills through the implemantion of Kolb’s learning style in class X TBSM @ at SMK Negeri 1 Siabu, focusing on the topic of sequences and series. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 20 students from class X. Data were collected through problem-solving tests, student and teacher activity observations, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed an improvement in students’ problem-solving abilities from 55% (categorized as low) in the first cycle to 85% (categorized as good) in the second cycle. Observations also indicated increased student and teacher engagement and improvement in instructional quality. The implementation of Kolb’s learning style proved effective in helping students grasp mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies. This research recommends the use of Kolb’s learning model as an alternative teaching approach to enhance students' critical thinking and learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

Very high information needs are sometimes not matched by providing adequate information, so that information must be extracted again in large data. By using the association rule technique, we can obtain information from large data such as data in universities. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of length of study of F-KIP students at Graha Nusantara University. by using the association rule data mining method and comparing the a priori algorithm and the hash-based algorithm. The data used is main data of F-KIP Graha Nusantara University which is processed using association rule data mining techniques with a priori algorithms and hash-based algorithms with a minimum support of 1% and a minimum trust of 1%. The results of data processing with the a priori algorithm are the same as the results of data processing with hash-based algorithms, namely 49 2-itemset combinations. The pattern that is formed is that 7.5% of graduates from the mathematics department study for more than 5 years with a confidence score of 38.5%.
