Abstract

The purpose of this research are:  (a) to know the development of Indonesia’s sugar consumption aggregately during 1980-2011  (b) to analyze the factors that affecting on production, consumption, and domestic price of sugar in Indonesia (c) to analyze the changing’s influence of exogenous factor on endogenous factor. The data that used is time series data of 1992-2011 obtained from various source such as BPS, DGI,  Ditjen Perkebunan etc. the analysis method that used is 2SLS method with simultaneous model. The result of this research shows that the development of sugar’s consumption aggregate in Indonesia during 1980-2011 has been increasing from year to year. However, the increasing of sugar’s consumption haven’t comparable yet with the increasing of domestic sugar’s production. Sugar’s production significantly affected by sugar cane’s plantation area and coffee’s price as complement product. Direct consumption of sugar significantly affected by civilization’s quantity and the consumption’s a year before. While the domestic price significantly affected by world’s price, the exchange value of Rupiah and the price a year before. The increasing of capita’s income affecting on increasing of direct consumption, the production and domestic price of sugar. The increasing of  world’s sugar price affecting on the increasing of sugar’s production and domestic price while the consumption of sugar is decreasing. The increasing of Rupiah’s value affecting on decreasing of consumption, increasing domestic price of sugar , and increasing of sugar’s production.  The increasing of sugar’s import value affecting on decreasing of domestic sugar’s production, while the consumption of sugar is increasing because of the domestic’s price is decreasing. Abstract

ABSTRACT The study is titled "Participation Extension Agent, guide Farmers and Farmers on P3TIP Program at Desa Bahal Gajah Kecamatan Sidamanik Kabupaten Simalungun". This study used a survey method. Aim 1) Knowing participation of extension workers, guide farmers and growers ((penanam dan tumbuhan)perkebunan, petani, investor, kultivator, petani, peternak) in the program P3TIP and 2) Knowing what are the problems faced by extension, guide farmers and growers to participate in the program P3TIP. The method used in the study is a survey method. Bahal Gajah village elections conducted by purposive sampling the achievements obtained the first example in the activity levels of the North Sumatera seed paddy rice. Samples were taken 25 farmers using purposive sampling (farmers active in P3TIP program), and also it was taken 1 extension and 1 farmer guides, so that the total sample was 27 people. Analysis of the participation of the respondents using a Likert Scale Scale's Summated. The results of the study illustrate the extension of participation are in the category of "High" with a score of 2.3, the farmer guides categorized as "High" with a score of 1.78, and farmers are also categorized as "High" with a score of 3.87 on P3TIP program. The problem faced by the extension that is participating in the planning as an educator and consultant, still have limited ability to P3TIP program. Problems faced by farmers guide is to facilitate farmers in developing partnerships to companies is still limited and the problems faced by farmers, namely the implementation of farmers meeting with investigators to discuss P3TIP. Abstract

The research was conducted in Pandau Permai Housing Complex Kampar Regency, for 5 mounth start from April until August 2013. Respondents was 99 people and selected by purposive sampling. The study aims to determine consumer behavior in consuming anak daro rice by analyzing consumer attitudes and subjective norms. The method of analysis  used in this study refers to analytical techniques in the reasoned action theory by Fishbein. The result depict that consumer attitudes in consuming anak daro rice show the positive value upon attributes brand, price, taste, cleanliness, color, texture or shape and the ease of obtaining attribute, while aroma attributes shows the negative value. The highest value of the attribute is taste attribute. Consumer’s subjective norm in consuming anak daro rice shows that attributes of income rate and attributes of people-surrounding gain the positive value, and attributes of people- surrounding gains the highest score. Consumer behavior in consuming anak daro rice shows the results that consumer interest in consuming anak daro rice is quite high. Cartesian diagram was used to analyze the rate of consumer confidence and interest in consuming anak daro rice. The result of the Cartesian diagram is, there is no attribute of anak daro rice in quadrant I (The Top Priority). In quadrant II (Maintain Achievement) there are attributes of taste, brand, price and cleanliness of the anak daro rice, for quadrant III (Low Priority) there are attributes of color and aroma of anak daro rice and there are attributes texture or shape and ease in obtaining of anak daro in quadrant IV (Excessive).   Keywords: Consumer, Behavior, Attribute, Anak daro rice, Fishbein.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the agroindustry enterprises in the UKM Berkah Pekanbaru city. Analysis of the data used in this study is the cases study method. The type of data that is collected were primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from the employers include: the amount and price of production factors, the type of raw materials, auxiliary materials, labor, equipment and machinery used and other necessary data. Secondary data were obtained from the monthly reports of business which include: general state of the business, a brief history of the business, coupled also with other data that support this research both from the relevant agencies as well as from other literature. The results of this study indicate that the UKM Berkah Pekanbaru city deserves to be developed with a gross income of Rp 18.4 million, - per month, net income of Rp 5,478,338, - RCR with values ​​of 1.42 and BEP revenue of Rp 7,962,337,-. Food marketing channels in the agroindustry UKM Berkah Pekanbaru city consists of two channels where the first channel (entrepreneurs to consumers) to absorb sales of 23.16% and 76.84% for the second channel (employers distribute products through middlemen 1; supermarkets and airports in Pekanbaru intersection of three and middlemen 2; supermarket on the market down to the next-to-consumer). Overall consumer attitudes towards food product attributes the UKM Berkah Pekanbaru city is the price and followed with the texture, flavor, brand and packaging. Sweet and delicious taste of another product is  the top choice of consumers in purchasing. The savory and crunchy texture of the UKM Berkah Pekanbaru city food become second reason of consumers in making a purchase. Keywords : UKM Berkah, Analysis, Product Income

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) to analyze marketing functions and marketing channels; (2) to analyze the marketing costs, margins, profit, farmer's share and marketing efficiency and (3) to identify the problems faced by each institution marketing. The research method used is survey method with a number of samples are 40 cocoa farmers, 6 collecting traders and 3 wholesalers. The results showed that marketing functions are carried out by institutions involved in the marketing of cocoa beans, namely the farmers, traders and wholesalers covering exchange function, physical function and function facilities. Cocoa marketing channels in South Payakumbuh District consists of three channels in which channel I farmers sell their cocoa beans to middlemen traders subsequently sell to wholesalers and wholesalers then sell to exporters, channel II cocoa farmers sell to wholesalers and subsequent wholesalers sell to exporters and channel III farmers sell their cocoa beans to plant Mini Chokato. Total costs and marketing the largest margin of cocoa beans contained in the I channel Rp. 9.446,53/kgand Rp. 3.670,83/kg /kg, while the efficiency of marketing and farmer's share of marketing channels III more efficient when compared to marketing channels I and II in the amount of 29,06% and 100%. The problems faced by the fluctuations in the price, the quality of cocoa beans, the limitations of traders in calculating the water content of the cocoa beans and the limited capacity of the plant in the district of South Payakumbuh. Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1). Know the function, channel and marketing agencies onion. 2). Analyze costs, margins,  profibality, efficiency and the share of the farmer. 3). Knowing the marketing problems of onion at Sungai Geringging Kampar Kiri districk in Kampar regency. This study usues survey, sampling was done by purposive sampling of 30 samples onion farmers at Sungai Geringging Kampar Kiri districk in Kampar regency. Taking sample of trader used snowball sampling by following marketing channel. The outcome of this research indicated the function-function of onion marketing at Sungai Geringging such as buy function, sale function, clean function, storage function, transportation function, standardization function, risk tackling function, market information function, financial capital function.There are 2 marketing channel 1). Farmer–trader of collector–trade of retailer–consumen. 2). Farmer–trader of collector–bigtrader–trader of retailer–consumen. The total cost of marketing collector is Rp 416,67/kg, retailers channel I is Rp 153,02/kg. Marketing costs of bigtrader channel II is Rp 275/kg and retailers channel II is Rp 176,03/kg. Marketing margins of channel I is Rp 3.166,67/kg and channel II is Rp 4.100/kg. Total profit of channel I is Rp 2.596,98/kg and channel II is Rp 3.232,30/kg. The efficiency of channel I is 2,46% and channel II is 3,60%. Problems faced by farmer is the weather and the price, while the problems faced by traders is the price. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of Indonesia's coffee exports and analyze the position of Indonesian coffee in the world market. The data used in this study was a secondary data export raw coffee Indonesia, Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia during the period 2001-2012. The data was taken from the land area, production, price, value and volume of exports of coffee in the world market. Supply and demand of coffee in the world market as long 2001-2012, overall was increase every years. Coffee offer influenced by land area, production, export value, export volume and the price of coffee by coffee producing countries in the world like Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia and Indonesia. The demand of coffee in the world during 2001-2012 has increase by sign of consumption and the amount of imports coffee in the world more increasing. The FOB price for Brazil, Vietnam and Indonesia has increase significantly during 12 years, accept Colombia. However, the Indonesian coffee still can be the price leader like Brazil, that affect the price of coffee in the world.   Keywords: coffee, position, production, export value, export volume.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: 1) know the onion cultivation, 2) analyse the income of onion farming, and 3)know the management of onion farming in Sei. Geringging Village Kampar Kiri District Kampar Regency. This research conducted since April till July 2014. The samples in this research used random sampling method, namely taking a random sample of the population of onion farmers as much as 20 peoples. Onion cultivation in Sei. Geringging Village still conventional. Pre-planting treatment undertaken is tillage, then planting with a spacing of 15 x 15 cm. Fertilizers used in this farming are organic and inorganic fertilizers. Maintenance of onion farming includes the watering step and weeding step. Onion harvest is done when the age of onion plants 60 days old after planting. The analysis in this research are the gross revenue, production cost, net income, farm efficiency, and farm management. Gross revenue of onion farming is Rp.490.000.000, while production costs amounted to Rp.321.258.734, then net income of onion farming amounted to Rp.168.741.266 per 4 ha with RCR value amounted to 1,53, it means every Rp.1 cost will earn revenues of Rp.1,53, thus indicated that onion farming in Sei. Geringging Village economically efficient and feasible to be continued and developed. Management of onion farming in Sei. Geringging Village good enough, but there are some management functions that must be considered again such as the controlling function must be aware again.   Keywords: Onion Farming, Cultivation, Income, Management

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the income of pineapple chips and jackfruit chips agroindustrial besiness in Kualu Nenas Village Tambang District Kampar Regency. Datas which used in thid research are primary data and secondary data. Method which used in this research was census method with 11 respondents. This research used descriptive analysis, cost and income analysis, break-even point (BEP) analysis, and business efficiency (RCR) analysis. The result showed that pineapple chips and jackfruit chips agroindustrial business already profitable. An average of 11 businessman ear net income of pineapple chips and jackfruit chips each of Rp. 6.471.896,32 per month and Rp. 1.289.921,91 per month. The processing efficiency of pineapple and jackfruit into pineapple chips and jackfruit chips each of 1,36 dan 1,90. The agroindustrial business experienced a break-even point (BEP) in production unit when producing 96,15 kg pineapple chips per month and break-even point (BEP) in sale unit equal to Rp. 10.838.301,59. While the break-even point (BEP) in production unit of jackfruit chips experienced when producing 6,33 kg jackfruit chips per month and break-even point (BEP) in sale unit equal to Rp. 915.321,50.   Keywords : Agroindustry, Break Event Point, Business Efficiency, Income

Abstract

Agriculture is one of the leading sectors of developing countries. Indonesia is a developing country that relies on plantation as foreign exchange is based on the primary sector. Rubber is one of the strategic commodities fo foreign exchange. This is evident from the history of Indonesian rubber that had become the nomber one producer of rubberr in the world. But after the reorfm era, Indonesian rubber collapsed due to low demand for rubber. This raisesa number of controversies on the marketing of the national rubber.The purposes of this research is to analyse market structure on rubber smallholders plantationof Ex UPP TCSDP in Hidup BaruVillage of Kampar Kiri Tengah District of Kampar Regency. This research started from June 2015 till  March 2016. The research method who used in this research is survey method. Data was collected on 31rubber farmers by purposive sampling technique, 6Village Merchantsby purposive sampling technique,3 Medan Wholesalers by purposive sampling technique and Bridgestone’s Factory by Snowball Sampling. The research results shows there is a rubber marketing channel which are Smallholder Plantation- Village Merchant – Medan Wholesaler - Factory. Market structure at rubber marketing of Ex UPP TCSDP imperfectly competitive market leads to oligopsony.  Keywords: TCSDP, marketing channel, market structure. Farmer, Agricultur Marketing
