Abstract

The implementation of Islamic education is not as simple as reversing palm of hand, moreover, the variety of values also affect to the social norm in the era of information technology now. New cultures that comes from external was unable to restrain, it is caused alot of information that easy to find in whole area. So that it touchs the norm of our life in society. This study aims to know the role of the government of Mandailing Natal in maintaining the values of Islamic education in this challenging era. The methode of this study uses qualitative research. That collecting data three steps, that are interview, observation, and documentation study. Furthermore, in analyzing data the researcher also use some steps, namely; data collecting, data display, data reduction, the last conclusion. The result of this study found that the government of Mandailing Natal strives to keep the norms of Islamic education by toughing culture, and tradition. Those are seen in some ways; cultural character education through tradition education; the training of culture and art of Mandailing that developing Islamic nature; tahfidz alquran building; local cultur tourism in Islamic verse.

Abstract

This study analyzes the educational significance of the Dalian Na Tolu tradition as a form of local wisdom in fostering youth character in Mandailing Natal. As a socio-cultural system that structures the relationships between mora (wife givers), kahanggi (patrilineal relatives), and anak boru (wife receivers), this tradition is transmitted across generations through customary practices and daily social interactions. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, participant observation, and document analysis in four villages: Panyabungan Julu, Tolang, Pagur, and Simpang Tolang. The findings reveal that Dalian Na Tolu plays a strategic role in instilling core character values such as respect, compassion, solidarity, mutual cooperation, and deliberation, which align with modern character education principles and Islamic teachings. Revitalization efforts are carried out through collaboration between traditional and religious leaders, youth activities under Naposo Nauli Bulung, cultural training, and daily practice. The study recommends integrating Dalian Na Tolu values into formal and non-formal education, as well as utilizing digital media to strengthen youth character development in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Education plays a central role in shaping the character of the nation, and one effective method in building the character of students is through extracurricular activities of Scouting. This paper discusses the implementation of scouting activities at SDS 117 Islam Terpadu Adnani as a form of devotion in shaping the character of students. The activities lasted for three days, including hiking, skills competitions, joint worship, and various group activities aimed at instilling the values ​​of discipline, cooperation, leadership, and social concern. The results of the activities showed that the direct experience-based approach through Scouting was effective in improving scouting skills, physical endurance, and morality of students. The integration of religious and social values ​​in this activity also had a positive impact in shaping individuals who were more responsible, disciplined, and had a strong leadership spirit. Thus, Scouting activities can be used as a model for sustainable character learning in the education system.

Abstract

The aims of this research are 1) to determine differentiated PAI-BP learning at SMA N 1 Batahan, 2) to determine the use of multimedia in differentiated PAI-BP learning at SMA N 1 Batahan, 3) to determine students' learning motivation in differentiated PAI-BP learning at SMA N 1 Batahan. The research used by the author is qualitative research. Qualitative research is a review of various studies and a collection of various types of empirical material, such as case studies, personal experiences. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that differentiated PAI-BP learning at SMA N 1 Batahan includes four aspects in accordance with the rules in differentiated learning, namely a) content, this aspect contains the material that will be taught by the PAI-BP teacher, the material taught by the PAI teacher -BP is analyzing QS. Ali Imran verses 190-191. b) process, determining different student interests. Each student has a different learning system. There is a mind map group, there is an audio-visual group. c) product, which is the result of learning from each group. The audio-video group is assigned to display clear video and sound, d) learning environment, as a teacher of course try to create a pleasant learning environment. In class Utilization of multimedia in differentiated PAI-BP learning at SMA N 1 Batahan by using power point, Canva application and projector.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the strengthening of religious values ​​in fostering an attitude of religious moderation at SMA Negeri 1 Natal and further to explain the supporting and inhibiting factors for strengthening religious values ​​carried out by teachers in fostering an attitude of religious moderation at SMA Negeri 1 Natal. This research uses qualitative descriptive. The research data sources are religious teachers and students of SMA Negeri 1 Natal. The data collection techniques used are through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of research on Strengthening Religious Values ​​in Cultivating Attitudes of Religious Moderation at SMA Negeri 1 Natal are that teachers provide strengthening of religious moderation to their students through religious education programs and extracurricular activities such as Islamic Spirituality (ROHIS). The values ​​used in strengthening religious moderation at SMA Negeri 1 Natal are Tawassuth (taking the middle path), Tawazzun (balanced), I'tidal (fair/upright), Tasamuh (tolerance), Muswah, Shura (deliberation). The supporting factor felt by teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Natal is getting good support from the school and other teachers. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor felt by teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Natal is the large number of students so it is not possible to control all students to perform congregational prayers.
