Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study head to analyze the level of erosion (TBE) which occur in the eastern part of watershed Tondano with Geographical Information Systems Applications. The method used in the calculation is the USLE erosion and analysis degree erosion using a table of erosion potential based Geographical Information Systems. Observed variables are rainfall, soil erodibility, length and slope, crop management, soil conservation management. The results showed the level of erosion that occurs in watershed Tondano eastern part is divided into five classes: very heavy (SB), weight (B) moderate (S) light (R), and very light (SR). Very heavy class (SB) with and area of 719.20 hectares or 3.21%. weight (B) with and area of 17.07 hectares or 0.40% for, the class of moderate (S) with an area of 3250.13 or 77.35%. and for the lightweight class (R) with and area of 79.91 hectares or 0.40%. whereas for the classification of very light (SR) with and area of 135.01 hectares or 3.21%.keywords: Rainfall, soil Erodibility, length and Slopes, Crop Management, Land Use.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCassava is a food crop that is widely grown in the village of Salurang, Tabukan Selatan TengahDistrict. To develop this plant so that it produces better, it is necessary to conduct research onthe availability of nutrients around the roots. P and K elements are elements needed by cassavaplants, therefore it is necessary to research the availability of nutrients around the roots. Thisstudy aims to determine the nutrient content of phosphorus and soil potassium around the rootsof cassava. The benefit of this research is to determine the right fertilizer in to increase theproduction of cassava plants. The research method used a survey method with purposivesampling on cassava plants which have tubers and have not. Sample analysis using the dry soiltest (PUTK) version 1.0. Bogor Soil Research Institute The results of the analysis showed thatthe phosphorus nutrient content around the roots of the tuberous cassava plants ranged from lowto moderate, while potassium was low to high. Cassava plants that have not been rooted showthat the phosphorus content is moderate, while potassium ranges from moderate to high. Keywords: Phosphorus and Potassium Nutrients

Abstract

Watershed is a plain area bounded by hills or mountains that serves to store, accommodate, and drain water from upstream to downstream of the river. Watersheds (DAS) are part of the unity of resources where humans actively use them. In this study, the aspect studied was the condition of the soil texture which aims to determine the erodibility (K) of the soil around the Kombot watershed. This study used survey methods and laboratory analysis to obtain data on soil texture and erodibility (K).The results showed that: 1) The soil erodibility value was very high in the soil sample (1) with a K value of 0.60 at a slope of 0-400 with land use namely moor while soil texture class was dusty clay, 2) The soil erodibility value of low value is found in the soil sample (13) with a K value of 0.17 on slopes 9-140 with plantation land use while the soil texture class is sandy loam, 3) soil texture is a factor that affects the value of soil erodibility (K), because soil texture has sensitivity to erosion. Abstract

The purpose of the research was to study the effect of biourine on soybean plant growth, and to obtain the concentration of biourine that can increase soybean growth. To achieve the objectives, the research was designed using a completely randomized design. The treatments consisted of, A = No Biourine, B = 100 ml biourine/1 liter of water, C = 200 ml biourine/1 liter of water. Each treatment was repeated four times resulting in 12 experimental pots. The parameters observed were the number of leaves and the number of soybean branches. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and 5% BNT test. The results showed that the application of biourine increased the growth of soybean plants as indicated by plant height and the number of leaves with three branches. The concentration of 100 ml biourine/1 liter of water increased the growth of soybean plants.

Abstract

Eco-enzyme has been promoted as a low-cost bioactivator for converting organic residues into useful soil amendments, but comparative agronomic evidence across different waste substrates remains limited. This study evaluated eco-enzyme–assisted organic fertilizers prepared from several locally available organic wastes and assessed their effects on chili pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) growth and yield in Kakaskasen, Tomohon City, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, from April to October 2025. A pot experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with six treatments and four replications (24 experimental units). Eco-enzyme was produced by fermenting fruit peels, sugar, and water (3:1:10) for three months. Organic fertilizers were prepared using eco-enzyme alone or eco-enzyme combined with vegetable waste, fruit waste, market waste, chicken-manure waste, or household organic waste, and were incorporated into the pot medium one week before transplanting at an equivalent rate of 20 t ha⁻¹. Plant height, fruit number per plant, and fresh fruit weight per plant were measured at 100 days after transplanting and analyzed using analysis of variance followed by the least significant difference test at 5%. Organic-waste substrate significantly affected all measured variables. The eco-enzyme + market-waste formulation produced the tallest plants (133.37 cm), the highest fruit number (89.50 fruits plant⁻¹), and the highest mean fresh fruit weight (225.25 g plant⁻¹), markedly exceeding eco-enzyme alone (69.12 cm; 36.75 fruits plant⁻¹; 78.75 g plant⁻¹). Overall, eco-enzyme–activated market-waste fertilizer was the most effective formulation for improving chili growth and yield under the conditions of this pot experiment. Abstract

ABSTRACT Potted trial for understanding Maize (Zea mays, L.) growth responses on the given dosage of 100 kg N/ha of NPK and Urea, 100 kg P/ha of SP-36, and 100 kg K/ha KCl fertilizers growing on Latosol Kalasey was conducted in six replicates until the plants reaching 8 weeks old at the backyard of Soil Department building. Plant height and number of mature leaves increased significantly with age of Maize plants, but the plant responses on given fertilizers did not significantly different.  Fresh weight dan oven-dry weight of Maize stalk did also show similar trend due to given fertilizers; however, application of singular fertilizers, such as: Urea, SP-36 and KCl gave relatively higher results in contrast to the compound NPK fertilizer.  Urea tend to increase succulence of Maize plants. Keywords: maize, growth response, NPK, Urea, SP-36, KCl, fertilizers
