Abstract

Corrosion is a very serious problem. It could not be prevented due to natural events which trigger corrosion itself. Many failures and losses caused by suboptimal early prevention of corrotion, such as the sudden collapse of buildings and infrastructure which incurring loss and casualties. One methode that is widely used to detect corrosion is the Half Cell Potential Mapping methode. However, there is shortage interpretation of data in the methods who need to be considered. Then, the software who could detect early failures caused by corrosion is developing. On of them is Boundary Element Invers Analysis (BEIA). BEIA has succeeded in detecting the location of corrosion in reinforced concrete with 5% error percentage. However, it is necessary to increas its ability. This research aims to find the effect of the amount of potensial value measurement data on BEIA ability to detect corrosion in reinforced concrete. BEIA developed by combining the application of Boundary Element Method (BEM) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). BEM used to calculate potential values on concrete surface, while PSO evaluates the cost function for detecting corrosion in reinforcing steel in concrete. This research wa conducted on reinforced concrete 3-dimensional geometry, namely length, widht and height. In the middle of the concrete there is reinforcement which has corrosion. The parameter of the amount of potential value measurement data was varied in order to get better input in improving the performance of BEIA. That were 5,10, 15 and 20. The simulation showed that the used of the potential value measurement data of 20 had less error percentage value obtained at 650 cm x 50 cm geometry was 0.2 %. These proves that the larger potential value measurement data could improved BEIA performance.

Abstract

Steel ST 37 which is equivalent to AISI (The American Iron Steel Institute) is one of the steels produced for the manufacture of various machine components. To improve the mechanical properties and material structure of ST 37 Steel, it is necessary to carry out the heat treatment (annealing) process. The objective of this study was to determine the annealing treatment of ST 37 steel on hardness and tensile strength to analyze the tensile test on ST 37 steel before and after annealing treatment and to analyze the hardness test of ST 37 steel before and after annealing treatment. The annealing process is carried out by preparing the test material and inserting the test material into the furnace and tightly closing the door of the heat treatment furnace. Set the temperature to be used in the test, which is 500C, and held for 60 minutes. Then turn off the furnace and leave the test specimens in the furnace for 72 hours to cool through the air cooling medium, after which tensile and hardness tests are carried out. The test results of the tensile test specimens with the ASTM E8/E8M standard and the hardness test specimens with the ASTM E18 standard are, the average value of the tensile test results before the annealing process is 50.65 kgf/mm and the average value of the tensile test results after the annealing process is 31.45 kgf/mm. While the average value of the hardness test before the annealing process was 75.22 HRA and the average value of the hardness test after the annealing process was 67.63 HRA. From these results, ST 37 steel before the annealing process has higher hardness and tensile strength. However, in subsequent tests, harder specimens can be used compared to ST 37 Steel specimens, and in the use of heat treatment furnaces, it is preferable to be in a state of heat safety.

Abstract

Ketentuan mengenai aturan warisan dalam Islam jelas di atur dalam Al-Qur’an surat An Nisa ayat 7,8,11,12 dan 176, pun demikian dalam Kompilasi Hukum Islam yang menjadi sumber rujukan bagi umat muslim di Indonesia, ketentuan ini diatur dalam pasal 176-193. Namun kenyataan yang terjadi dilapangan khusus nya pada masyarakat Lampung sendiri yang sangat kuat dengan sistem adat yang ada aturan tentang warisan tersebut belum diterapkan, hal ini dikarenakan masyarakat masih mengacu pada sistem adat yang sudah secara turun menurun diterapkan. Aturan warisan dalam Islam akan diterapkan jika ada pihak-pihak tertentu yang menuntut diterapkan berdasarkan hukum Islam, biasanya pihak yang akan menuntut tersebut ialah anak perempuan. Karena berdasarkan adat setempat anak perempuan tidak mendapatkan bagian warisan dari keluarga, dan bagain warisan keluarga sepenuhnya milik anak lai-laki terutama anak laki-laki tertua dengan alasan anak laki-laki tertua yang akan menuruskan dan menggantikan orang tua setelah orang tua telah tiada, sedangkan anak perempuan menjadi tanggung jawab anak laki-laki, bagi yang terlah menikah maka anak permpuan menjadi tanggung jawab suaminya. Oleh sebab itu anak perempuan akan menuntut hak nya dan menyelesaikan permasalahan warisan berdasarkan hukum Islam.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini berdasar dari adanya sebuah permasalahan yaitu adanya pemahaman yang salah tentang sistem pembagian warisan pada sebagian masyarakat di pekon Banjar Agung seperti ahli waris terbatas pada keluarga inti yang meliputi isteri, suami, dan anak. Pemahaman tersebut bertentangan dengan petunjuk Alquran yang tertuang dalam Alquran surat al-Nisa ayat 11, 12, dan 176, dan Kompilasi Hukum Islam Pasal 171-214. Berdasarkan beberapa hal tersebut, masyarakat Pekon Banjar Agung perlu meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka tentang hukum waris Islam yang sesuai dengan petunjuk Alquran dan Sunnah Rasulullah saw. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan: 1) memperkaya wawasan masyarakat Pekon Banjar Agung tentang hukum waris Islam 2) memperkaya wawasan masyarakat tentang teknik pembagian harta warisan menurut ajaran Islam sehingga terbangun kesadaran utnuk mengamalkan ajaran Islam khsuusnya terkait hukum kewarsian Islam di lingkungannya. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian menngunakan metode ceramah dan demontrasi yang dilaksanakan secara tatap muka. Kegiatan ini dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan; yaitu pendekatan terhadap mitra, partisipasi mitra, dan evaluasi dan keberlanjutan program pasca pelaksanaan pengabdian. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah adannya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat yang menjadi peserta kegiatan sosialisasi hukum waris Islam setelah adanya evaluasi kegiatan. Selain itu, para peserta menyadari pentingnya pengetahuan hukum waris yang perlu ditularkan kepada warga lainnya dan diamalkan dalam kehidupan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan Boundary Element Inverse Analysis (BEIA) dalam mendeteksi korosi lokal pada beton bertulang dengan variasi data potensial dalam mendeteksi 2 lokasi korosi. Pengembangan BEIA berbasis Boundary Element Method (BEM) dan Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). BEM digunakan untuk menghitung nilai potensial pada permukaan beton. Kemudian PSO digunakan untuk mengevaluasi cost function untuk mendeteksi korosi pada baja tulangan yang berada di dalam beton. BEIA dijalankan dengan data nilai pengukuran potensial pada permukaan beton. Hasil simulasi dari BEIA menunjukkan posisi partikel berada pada lokasi yang ditentukan. Dari hasil simulasi BEIA dengan variasi jumlah data potensial dalam mendeteksi lokasi korosi pada beton bertulang dapat disimpulkan bahwa jumlah data pengukuran nilai potensial yang lebih besar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan BEIA dalam mendeteksi lokasi korosi pada beton bertulang. Hal ini membuktikan jumlah data pengukuran nilai potensial berpengaruh pada kinerja BEIA.Kata kunci—Deteksi korosi, BEM, PSO, BEIA, Beton Bertulang

Abstract

This study aims to explore the important role of weather parameters i.e. humidity, rainfall, temperature, and wind speed on the corrosion rate in the Medan City atmospheric environment. Three forms of material with low carbon steel type were prepared in this investigation. The exploration process was conducted for six months starting from June to December 2023, in the open area of the Engineering Faculty, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Corrosion rate assessment is carried out monthly using the weight loss method and climate parameter data is obtained from the Medan City Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). The dimensions, initial preparation, data collection, post-test material preparation, and corrosion rate calculations refer to the ASTM G1 and G50 standards. Regression analysis and Pearson correlation explain the relationship between corrosion rate and climate parameters. The investigation showed that the corrosion rate fluctuated monthly from 0.1 to 0.5 mpy. By referring to corrosion resistance data on metal materials, it was found that the corrosion level was in the good resistance category "outstanding". Based on the regression analysis results, humidity, local temperature, and rainfall play an important role in the atmospheric corrosion rate in Medan City. The percentage of closeness between variables is ± 98% and the standard deviation is ± 0.0001. Further development is needed to determine other parameters that also play an important role in atmospheric corrosion rate and forming a random forest model for predicting future corrosion rates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa dan mengetahui Pengaruh Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Terhadap Kinerja Kryawan Bank Nagari Cabang Pasar Raya Padang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan kuisioner. Jenis data adalah data kuantitatif dengan data kualitatif dengan sumber data primer dan data sekunder. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan yang ada di Bank Nagari Cabang Pasar Raya Padang sebanyak 36 karyawan dengan sampel menggunakan total sampling maka jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 36 orang. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif responden, analisis deskriptif variabel, analisis regresi linear berganda, koefisien determinasi, dan pengujian hipotesis uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Indikator dominan pada variabel pendidikan adalah pengembangan organisai. Indikator dominan pada variabel pelatihan adalah tujuan dan sasaran pelatihan. Indikator dominan pada variable kinerja adalah pengetahuan tentang pekerjaan. (2) Pendidikan secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. (3) Pelatihan secara parsial positif dan signifikan memengaruhi kinerja karyawan. (4) Pendidikan (X1) dan pelatihan (X2) secara bersama - sama positif dan signifikan memengaruhi kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

Pengetahuan dan pemahaman terkait permintaan dan perilaku konsumen bagi seorang manajer atau produsen adalah hal yang sangat penting terutama di era digital. Pada tulisan ini, selain membahas tentang konsep permintaan dan perilaku konsumen penulis juga membahas terapan konsep permintaan dan perilaku konsumen pada industri fintech dalam skema crowdfunding syariah. Crowdfunding syariah adalah sebuah bisnis yang memanfaatkan platform sebagai medianya untuk pengumpulan dana sekaligus pendanaan bagi individu, kelompok atau organisasi dengan prinsip syariah. Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the impact strength and functional group characteristics, as identified through FTIR spectroscopy, of composite materials reinforced with pineapple leaf powder fibers that have undergone physical property enhancement via alkali treatment (NaOH). A series of processes were conducted to produce the pineapple leaf powder, starting with drying fresh pineapple leaves until they turned brown. The dried leaves were then cleaned and soaked in a 5% NaOH solution for durations of 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 hours to modify their physical properties. After treatment, the leaves were rinsed thoroughly and oven-dried at 60°C for 5 hours. The dried leaves were subsequently ground and sieved using a 150-mesh screen. This study involved two main observations: functional group analysis using FTIR spectroscopy and mechanical performance evaluation through impact testing. A total of 30 composite specimens were prepared and fabricated using a stepwise lamination method, following the ASTM D256 impact testing standard. The results indicate that alkali treatment progressively degraded the hemicellulose and lignin content in the pineapple leaf fibers, significantly enhancing the impact energy absorption of the composite material. However, extended treatment durations adversely affected the fiber quality, leading to structural damage and reduced interfacial cohesion between the composite components.

Abstract

Corrosion is one of the most problematic issues in the material industry that may generate tons of drawbacks. In recent years, Kuala Tanjung has experienced an increase related to the development of infrastructure including trestles and docks that are capable to accommodate mother vessels, containers, and stockpile tanks. The growth of industrial estate occurring would lead to a consideration that Kuala Tanjung might be possible to be an International Hub Port. Despite all these development efforts, the detrimental effects could lead to the quality of water, air, and soil caused by industrial waste and consequently the corrosion attack would easily occur. This condition is exacerbated by the lack of atmospheric corrosiveness data in Kuala Tanjung Batu Bara. Then, it is necessary to investigate the corrosion rate using the weight loss method and refer to ASTM G – 1. Specimen dimensions and test racks are designed based on ASTM G – 50 standards. The aim of this study is to investigate the atmospheric corrosion rate of low-carbon steel and map the atmospheric corrosion in Kuala Tanjung, Batu Bara. The research site is divided to six locations, namely points A, B, C, D, E, and F. The Low-carbon steel test specimens conducted use elbow steel profiles, plates, and quadrangles. Testing is carried out for six months with data collected once every two weeks. The results of this study show that the corrosion rate values reach 0.0564 – 0.5230 mpy for elbow profiles, 0.0552 – 0.4984 mpy for plate profiles, and 2.1341 – 5.2022 mpy for quadrilateral profiles. These results indicate that the corrosion rate of low-carbon steel in the Kuala Tanjung is still relatively safe as well as the atmospheric corrosiveness maps can be created at each location.
