Abstract

The purpose of this study is getting a good model of school management of RSBI in Semarang. Society’s satisfaction and loyalty mostly is determined by transparency, school accountability, and other factors such as, international standardization, academic effectiveness and funding effectiveness at RSBI. The population of this study were all RSBI students and parents in Semarang.  The samples were taken by purposive sampling which the samples were taken based on a certain criteria and relevant to the purpose of this research. The data were collected by questionnaires and depth interview. Then, the data were analyzed by descriptive analysis approach to know the important and dominant factors in managing a good RSBI. Furthermore, Partial Least Square analysis (PLS) was used to know the influence of RSBI management (information transparency, school accountability, and other factors) toward society’s satisfaction and loyalty in Semarang.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of the research is making a good model of school management (ex-RSBI) having a certain quailty in Semarang City. The population of this research is all managements that is teachers and headmasters of ex-RSBI in Semarang City. Purposive sampling is done (in this research) by taking the samples based on certain criteria and relevant to the research purpose. Approach used is descriptive analytic to know the important and dominant factors in good management of school (ex-RSBI). To know the influences of the good management of school – transparancy of information, school accountability, and other factors found – toward public satisfaction and loyality in Semarang City. The analysis of Partial Least Square (PLS) is used. Data gamed by surveying (by giving quesionnaires to) and interviewing deeply the teachers and headmasters of the selected ex-RSBI in Semarang City. The characteristic of the second year research is only confirmation of school management of ex-RSBI so that the model of good management of ex-RSBI in Semarang city is formed.

Abstract

Logika merupakan salah satu teknik untuk meneliti suatu penalaran. Penalaran merupakan suatu bentuk pemikiran.  Peranan logika dalam penggunaan bahasa sangatlah penting. Logika berbahasa berhubungan erat dengan kebenaran kalimat. Suatu kalimat dikatakan benar jika kalimat itu benar-benar melambangkan suatu peristiwa tertentu. Sebuah kalimat tentu mengandung makna.  Kalimat yang logis merupakan kalimat yang maknanya sesuai dengan kaidah-kaidah penalaran. Untuk menyusun kalimat logis, kita harus memperhatikan pemilihan kata (diksi), penggunaan kata bentukan, dan konjungsi. Abstract

Aktivitas menulis atau mengarang merupakan salah satu aspek keterampilan berbahasa yang paling sulit dan tidak banyak di antara kita yang menyukainya. Padahal sebagai dosen, guru atau mahasiswa, kegiatan ini merupakan aktivitas yang wajib dijalaninya. Artikel, esai, laporan, karya sastra, buku, komik, resensi maupun cerita merupakan bentuk - bentuk dan produk dari aktivitas menulis atau mengarang. Banyaknya masyarakat yang tidak menyukai kegiatan menulis dikarenakan permasalahan - permasalahan yang harus dihadapi jika mau menggeluti kegiatan ini. Umumnya kendala - kendala itu dihadapi oleh para penulis pemula seperti, (1) takut memulai, (2) tidak tahu kapan harus memulai, (3) pengorganisasian, dan (4) bahasa.Kata kunci  : Keterampilan Menulis, Artikel, Esai, Laporan

Abstract

Dalam sebuah komunikasi, kalimat memiliki peranan yang sangat penting, lebih-lebih dalam komunikasitertulis.Kejelasan makna kalimat menjadi kunci keberhasilan komunikasi antara penulis dan pembaca.Olehkarena itu, dalan setiap komunikasi, khususnya komunikasi tertulis, dibutuhkan kalimat-kalimat yang baik.Kalimat yang baik harus memenuhi persyaratan gramatikal. Artinya, kalimat tersebut disusun berdasarkankaidah-kaidah yang berlaku, yaitu (1) unsur-unsur penting yang harus ada dalam suatu kalimat, (2) aturan-aturan tentang ejaan (EYD), dan (3) cara-cara memilih kata (pendiksian). Kalimat yang jelas dan baik akanmudah dipahami orang lain secara tepat. Kalimat yang demikian itu disebut kalimat efektif, yang secara tepatdapat mewakili pikiran dan keinginan penulisnya.Kata kunci: Kalimat efektif, gramatikal, ejaan, pendiksi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi mahasiswa dalam mengikuti perkuliahan berdasarkan kinerja dosen dalam pembelajaran.Dalam penelitian ini pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data.Populasi penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa FBB(Fakultas Bahasa dan Budaya) Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Semarang yang diambil sampelnya secara purposive sample technique.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi mahasisa FBB Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Semarang cukup tinggi, begitu juga kinerja dosen dalam pembelajaran cukup tinggi. Adapun yang mempengaruhi motivasi mahasiswa dalam perkulihan antara lain cara dosen dalam menyampaikan materi perkuliahan sangat menarik, kedatangan dosen yang tepat waktu, pemberian feedback oleh dosen terhadap setiap tugas yang diberikan.

Abstract

This research is predicated on the problem of learning that is faced by students in university during social distancing due to Coronavirus outbreak. One of the striking problems is most students are not comfortable with e-learning. The aim of this article is grasping the typology of students particularly in e-learning that is conjunction with four aspects namely learning patterns, doing assignments, learning habits and using tools. Furthermore, the other objective is the research will be contributed to lecturers, faculties, universities and policymakers in term of planning, creating, and developing e-learning systems. The methodology used in this research is quantitative with descriptive type where is the population  or sample as the object of the research and it is only to describe a variable without comparing to other variables. The result of the study denotes the typology of visual learners dominating learning pattern and doing assignment which was 54% and 46% respectively. While in learning habit, the auditory type was the most popular which was 42% however the kinesthetic type had a low percentage because this activity was rarely carried out in e-learning hence that is why the quantity is negligible.

Abstract

The topic of this research is the use of figure of speech in three song lyrics. The title of this research is " FIGURE OF SPEECH ON THE SONGS IN THE ALBUM GAJAH BY TULUS ". The author chose three song titles as research data, the song entitled, “Sepatu”, “Gajah”, and “Jangan Cintai Aku Apa Adanya”. The reason the author chose this topic as research is because the lyrics of the songs on the album have a deep meaning, the songs have also received many awards at prestigious music events. The songs were also composed by Tulus who is the creator and singer of the songs based on some personal experiences in his life story. In this paper, the authors wrote using a qualitative descriptive method, in which the authors obtained research results by listening to songs that had been selected as a data source, then looking for pieces of song lyrics containing figure of speech, qualifying the types of figure of speech used in the lyrics of the song, then describe the meaning of the song lyrics that contain figure of speech Keywords: Figure of speech, Song, Music, Meaning, Lyric.

Abstract

Everyone basically has the ability to communicate, especially writing. The ability to write is acquired through a learning process not inherited. In college, the ability to write is very important for students, especially for compiling scientific works such as papers, theses, theses, dissertations, and reports. Problems faced by novice writers. These include: (1) fear of starting, (2) not knowing when to start, (3) organizing, and (4) language. Determining the initial attitude for novice writers will determine success or failure in writing. Regarding the process approach, writing activities are divided into three stages, namely: pre-writing stage, writing stage, and post-writing stage. Keywords: communicating, pre-writing, writing process, post-writing.
