Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of Student Worksheets used to train science process skills. The subjects of the study were the VII grade students of the Sepuluh Nopember Middle School, Sidoarjo. The research instrument used was a student activity observation sheet and a science process skill test item. The results showed that the worksheets given were effectively used to train science process skills.

Abstract

The study aims to evaluate teaching in Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty of Universitas Negeri Surabaya during early pandemic of Covid-19. The evaluation was based on three aspects, that were, preparation of teaching, implementation of teaching, and assessment conducted by lectures. The design of the study was evaluation research adapted from Kirkpatrick Evaluation Design and focused on learning processes. The study evaluated 26 lectures through observation in each class. There were findings that 98% of teaching preparations met criteria. Also, implementation of teaching aspect got good score, that was, 97%. On the other hand, the lectures were scored in lower percentage for assessment aspect compared to the other two aspects. The aspect got 87%. The study found that 13% of  lectures was lack of feedback.Keywords: Online teaching, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Pandemic of Covid-19

Abstract

This study aims to produce instruments that are valid, reliable, and describe the skill to think creatively in environmental pollution material. The trial design of the study used Pre Experimental design with One Shot Case Study model. The subject of this study are 27 students of 7th Grade at SMPN 1 Sidoarjo. The research instrument on this study used students' sheet, questionare sheet, and test. This study used validity and reliablity teachniques. The reseach data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualititative. The result of the research through theoritical validation showed that all questions were accepted and fit in. The results of the validity test of the assessment instrument showed that 6 items with sufficient validity and 6 items with high validity. Meanwhile, the reliability test value obtained at 0.796 in the high category. Based on the results, the category of fluency aspect is quite good with a percentage of 55.2%, the flexibility aspect percentage of 29.3% is not good category and an average overall aspect of 38.8% is in the poor category.This research can be used as an evaluation tool that can design learning to improve creative thinking skills.
