Abstract

The aim of this training activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of Labor Union (LU) chairmen and members in Collective Work Agreement (CWA) negotiations. It is hoped that LU under the patronage of Sarbumusi can use more effective negotiation techniques in order to reach an agreement that benefits both parties, LU and its enterprise. This training was arranged to strengthen SP's position in negotiating with management and promote healthy and productive working relationships. The materials consist of the introduction to Collective Work agreement (CWA), its regulation, and negotiation techniques. The methods used were divided into two stages; preparation and implementation – presentation, discussion, case-study and simulation. The impact of this training was excellent because LU was provided with basic knowledge as well as the key to use negotiation techniques in pursuing the better prosperity for all workers, especially the members of LU. Abstract

Policy changes between Law No. 13 of 2003 and the Work Creation Law have impacted the difficulty faced by people with disabilities in obtaining jobs, exacerbated by the lack of public awareness about this group. This study aims to provide further insights into the laws governing people with disabilities and clarify the categories of individuals included within this group. The methodology employed is a literature review, defined as a summary derived from reading sources relevant to the research topic. A notable change is the shift in terminology from "persons with disabilities" to "persons with disabilities," which is considered more polite and respectful. However, the laws and government regulations lack clear provisions on quotas for employing people with disabilities. Establishing such quotas is essential to enhance welfare and ensure equal opportunities for all members of society. People with disabilities are categorized into physical, sensory, intellectual, and mental groups.

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PKM) carried out at SMK Negeri 20 Jakarta aim to improve students' knowledge and skills in facing the world of work, especially in aspects of industrial relations, social security, and workplace communication. Through a practice-based learning approach, namely an interactive and applied teaching-learning approach that is not only theoretical, but students are asked to directly practice and demonstrate industrial relations activities related to employment relations, social security, and effective communication. The activity was carried out for one day with a total of 100 participants. The evaluation method used was pretest-posttest to obtain quantitative data to measure the increase in participants' knowledge before and after the PKM activity. The obstacles and barriers faced in the field included low initial knowledge levels, lack of participant interest in employment topics, and limited implementation time. However, the results of data calculation and participant participation from start to finish showed that the PKM activity succeeded in making a positive impact on knowledge and increasing participant interest related to employment knowledge, especially employment relations, social security, and communication skills that can be used to face the world of work.

Abstract

Wage based on unit of output is a wage paid based on the production or quantity of goods produced by the worker, in this research, the amount of batik produced by the batik maker. This study aims to determine the implementation of piece-rate wages for batik workers, Pekalongan (Batang) area in Central Java and Cirebon, West Java to see the welfare of batik workers. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection instruments in the form of interviews and field observations. The magnitude of the poverty line and the average monthly per capita expenditure of the community at the provincial and city levels are indicators in determining the welfare level of workers. The results show that the piece-rate wages received by batik workers are higher than the city and provincial poverty lines, but still low when compared to the average monthly per capita expenditure at the provincial and city levels. Nevertheless, employers can determine the amount of wages below the government's decision if employers and workers have agreed. In conclusion, the wages received by the batik workers have not been able to fulfill the KHL of the batik workers optimally. However, batik makers are considered prosperous because they have fulfilled Article 36 Paragraph (2) of Government Regulation No. 36 of 2021 where wages in Small and Medium Enterprises, especially batik, have fulfilled at least 50% of the average consumption of the provincial community and at least 25% above the poverty line at the provincial level.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan permintaan dari salah satu Serikat Pekerja (SP) Perusahaan Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) dibidang transportasi di Yogjakarta untuk mewujudkan hubungan industrial yang harmonis. Salah satu alat yang efektif untuk tujuan ini adalah membentuk Lembaga Kerja Sama (LKS) Bipartit yang pada dasarnya berfungsi sebagai forum resmi untuk dialog dan negosiasi antara serikat pekerja dan pihak manajemen, guna mencapai kesepakatan mengenai berbagai isu ketenagakerjaan. Masalah utama yang dihadapi SP Yogyakarta ini adalah belum terbentuknya LKS Bipartit karena adanya keraguan dari pihak manajemen perusahaan. Sehingga, tujuan kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk mendampingi SP merancang dan membentuk LKS Bipartit serta mengadakan pelatihan agar SP dapat meyakinkan manajemen perusahaan untuk mencapai kesepakatan bersama. Metode yang digunakan adalah workshop untuk memulai proses pembentukan LKS Bipartit, dengan peserta sebanyak 30 anggota serikat pekerja pada bulan Juli 2024, di Surakarta. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini adalah (1) peningkatan pemahanan pengurus dan anggota terhadap LKS Bipartit dengan memberikan materi yang memperkenalkan LKS Bipartit. (2) Peningkatan kemampuan megosiasi pengurus dan anggota SP agar LKS Bipartit dapat dibentuk dalam kesepakatan bersama antara pihak SP dan manajemen perusahaan. (3) Peningkatan pemahaman pengurus dan anggota SP terkait langkah awal dam pembentukan LKS Bipartit.
