Tegal is a maritime town that mostly its resident has living as fisherman. Most existing industry in this town is fishery industry. Besides fishery industry, other small industrial also produce waste water which together with domestic waste water partake to contaminate Gung river, Sibelis river, Kemiri river and other channel which pass through Tegal town. Tegal town government trough the Office Operation of Environmental Impact (KEPADEL) have conducted various effort to reduce the impact of environmental contamination by giving counseling, training and other compilation of book containing information technology and technical guidance of waste water management to industrial activity exist in Tegal. With construction which continues to be conducted by KAPEDAL, we expected that the environmental quality in this town will change with progressively goodness. Kata Kunci : Kawasan Industri, Limbah Cair Industri, Pencemaran Lingkungan, InformasiTeknologi Pengelolaan Limbah.

Environmental contamination and global climate change cause degradation of fresh water in the whole world. Increasing of oil price also insist the water treatment operational cost rise, especially for pumping and water lifting from the low land areas to up land. One of alternatif solution to reduce operational cost is using Hydraulic ram pumps (hydram pump). Hydram pump are water-lifting devices that are powered by filling water. Such pumps work by using the energy of water falling a small height to lift a small part of that amount of water to a much greater height. In this way, water from a spring or stream in a valley can be pumped to a village or irrigation scheme on the hillside. The main and unique advantage of hydram pumps is that with a continuous flow of water, a hydram pump operates automatically and continuously with no other external energy source - be it electricity or hydrocarbon fuel. It uses a renewable energy source (stream of water) mid hence ensures low running cost. Minimum up lifting vertical power of pump is twice than vertical distance of water down and maximum up lifting vertical power is twenty times than vertical distance of water down.   If there are air captured in distribution pipe, it will need release valve. In this paper, different aspect of designing a hydraulic-rain pump system is discussed. Application and limitation of hydram pump is presented. It imparts absolutely no harm to the environment Hydraulic ram pumps are simple, reliable and require minimal maintenance. All these advantages make hydram pumps suitable to rural community water supply and mud backyard irrigation in developing countries. Kata Kunci : Air bersih pedesaan, pompa hidram, pengelolaan air bersih.

The environment of the rivers surround Jakarta was polluted due to the increasing of the domestics and industrial waste as response to the rapid development of the anthropogenic activities within the city since the decades. As consequence, the carrying capacity of the water ecosystem was degraded including Jakarta Bay as the estuary of the passing rivers of the Jakarta City. This article briefly discusses the pollution problem within the Jakarta Bay that is supported by the data collected from various sources including the result from in-situ survey. The result has shown the fact of what the causing factors that stimulated the pollution problem within this area.  Katakunci : Pencemaran Lingkungan Perairan. Environmental pollution that happened around us in this time have resided in condition of concerning. The environmental quality recovering is not only becoming responsibility of government, but becoming responsibility of all society, especially who was causing the environmental pollution itself. Some metropolitans like Jakarta has domestic waste as dominant waste, which is not dominant hostpital waste also contributes environmental pollution in Jakarta.To decrease the pollution level of wastewater from hospital, the government of Jakarta has published the environmental regulation. The regulation contains how the hospitals in Jakarta should manage and process their wastewater. This article explain about the design and development of database system for managing the data of hospital wastewater quality, so the observation process of wastewater quality from the wastewater treatment plant for the hospital can be monitored easily and known immediately. Katakunci : database kualitas air,  kualitas air limbah rumah sakit, IPAL rumah sakit, sistem manajemen basis data.

The environment and water quality status of the open waters of the rivers and lake including ground water surround DKI Jakarta was evaluated on the base of the data collected by local government of the environmental agency of DKI Jakarta (BPLHD) period of 2004. The result shows that water quality of those open waters has degraded due to the impact of the domestic and industrial waste that flowing through the rivers. The DO, total suspended solid (TSS), ammonia, organic matter, BOD and COD of the open waters in general have more than intemperate of the environmental standard of the water quality for drinking, fisheries, animal husbandry and industrial need. While the ground water has degraded due to the increasing of the Fe, Mn and detergent.  To eliminate and minimize the degradation of the water quality of the open waters and ground water surround Jakarta, strict regulation should be established following the regular monitoring of the whole area of the open and ground waters.  Katakunci : Kualitas Perairan Umum, Sungai, Situ, Air Tanah, DKI Jakarta.

Recent water quality decrease has caused difficult in finding clean water source for people and their daily life. Monitoring on water quality had been carried out many times, from up stream to down stream. It’s necessary to do Online Monitoring on ground and underground water quality continuously, so that the effect of water quality decrease could be detected earlier and handle directly. The output of water quality data needs to be processed so that the society and the decision makers could see the information publicly. So, we need a design of structured database of online and real-time water quality data processing. Fast growing development at big cities such as Jakarta usually cause surface hydrology problems, which is indicated by many surface detention and local floods during rainy season. These problems were raised because of the increasing of runoff coefficient of sub catchment areas and limited capacity of existing drainages. Analysis have made on drainage capacity of sub catchment areas connected to peak flow cause by rain on certain recurrence period and result in data to evaluate drainage capacity to solve these water detention and local floods problems. Katakunci : Genangan, Banjir, Drainase, DAS, Database.

Development activity has been exploiting water resources (SDA) massively. Every year the number of critical watershed along with the increasing environmental degradation. Management of water resources are always either continued effort by the government to reduce the negative impact of environmental pollution. One way is to build an Information System Web-Based Coastal Rivers and can be used to determine the condition of water resources in the basin, so that the status of potential and water quality can be monitored at any time either by the government or the wider community and other civil society organizations . The information system Web-Based Coastal Rivers and can be realized by performing a data management of water resources in the basin structured through the development of Water Resource Database (DBSDA). Rivers and Coastal Information System (SISPA) Web-based was developed to assist the Ministry of Public Works in order to carry out the data management of water resources and coastal rivers in the basin in accordance with the rules established by the existing regulations, particularly the Law 7 Year 2004 on SDA and PP 42 Year 2008 on Management of Natural Resources. Keywords : River and Coastal Information System, Water Resources Information SYstem, River Basin, River Basin Unit, DAS, SWS.

Ciliwung River  is one of the rivers that pass through the administrative area of Jakarta. Ciliwung river has been categorized as a heavy polluted river. The water quality monitoring needs to be installed to control river pollution. The Water quality monitoring should be performed at any time continuously. For that reason, The trial water quality monitoring that placed in the area of Ciliwung part Istiqlal Mosque has been installed. The installed system that based on GSM network is an online and realtime water quality monitoring. In this paper discusses the process of installation, monitoring results, modification of protective structure and the problems were encountered. From this activity bring out some conclusions about: shape of suitable protective building, sensor calibration period, the obstacles encountered, system reliability, and efforts to improve system performance. Keywords: Protective building,  calibration period, monitoring result, water quality, realtime.

Semayang Lake and Melintang Lake in Kutai Kartanegara district, East Kalimantan is one of the biggest lake in Indonesia. Both lakes are located in the Mahakam River Basin and has an important role for economic and ecological activities in the Province of East Kalimantan. In addition to being a source of livelihood for fishermen around the lake, is also as habitat for freshwater mammals Pesut Mahakam that are endangered. Illegal logging in the forest around the lake, causing floods when it rains and water pollution will increase with sediment flowing into the lake. In some areas also get the impact of transportation activities of coal mining industry around the Mahakam River. All this causes silting almost the entire surface of the lake, lead to a reduction of existing fishery potential and cause extinction of Pesut Mahakam. To control pollution in the lake, local government of Kutai Kartanegara has implemented an online monitoring technology to monitor the water quality of the lake in four point location. Monitoring results are used to support local goverment in taking pollution control policies in both lakes. Keywords: Water quality online monitoring system, lake water quality monitoring system, GSM and SMS technology, multiprobe sensor, telemtry system.
