Abstract

In Indonesia, which is an archipelagic country with unique diversity on each island, conflictsoften occur between one another. In the school, there are some conflicts between students whodo not understand multiculturalism. Therefore, this research has been done at SMP Negeri 7Muaro Jambi in Jambi Province to know the understanding of students about multiculturalism.This research is qualitative research by observing and distributing Google Forms. The results ofthis study indicate that some students have understood and practiced multiculturalism in schoolwhile others still need to be given further guidance.Keywords : Implementasi, Multikultural, Budaya

Abstract

Cell Biology is a course whose material is abstract because it cannot be observed with the naked eye. The problem in learning Cell Biology is that no reference books can make abstract material more real to facilitate students' understanding. This research aims to analyze students' needs for Case Study-based interactive Cell Biology textbooks by integrating QR Codes. This research is quantitative and descriptive. The subjects in this research were Biology Education students. Data was obtained through interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. Based on data analysis, 67.6% of students stated that they could only imagine the structures and processes in cells, and 86.5% needed help understanding Cell Biology material. The results of the data analysis also show that all samples agreed to develop teaching materials that integrate QR codes connected to various videos or literature. Based on these results, an interactive cell biology textbook based on case studies needs to be created by further integrating QR codes.

Abstract

Good planning is needed to facilitate the implementation of Deep Learning, so that learning ran optimally and could achieve learning outcomes. The existence of technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) could simplify teachers' work and save time in developing Deep Learning lesson plans. This community service activity aims to provided information related to the Deep Learning approach, AI tools that can be used in compiling Deep Learning lesson plan, and provided skills to teachers in using AI. This service activity was carried out at MGMP IPA Gugus 1 Muaro Jambi Regency. The method of implementation of the service was through lectures/seminars and tutorials on compiling Deep Learning lesson plans using AI. Through this activity, teachers received information related to the Deep Learning approach and AI tools that can be used to develop teaching modules and practiced in utilizing AI to compile Deep Learning lesson plans. It was concluded that this community service activity can improve the ability of science teachers who are members of MGMP IPA Gugus 1 Muaro Jambi Regency in utilizing AI to develop Deep Learning tlesson plans. This activity is expected to inspire the use of AI technology to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

The results of interviews with junior high school teachers in Muaro Jambi Regency revealed that student participation in learning is still lacking and they often ignore assignments given by teachers. They consider science material difficult and uninteresting, which impacts low learning outcomes. This problem is not only caused by internal factors of the students, but also by external factors, namely teachers. Observations show that the learning methods applied are not varied. In addition, teachers' understanding of student learning psychology is still not optimal, thus impacting students' self-confidence and learning motivation. This activity aims to provide practical solutions to MGMP Science teachers in Cluster 1 Muaro Jambi in improving student learning motivation. The implementation method is a participatory workshop involving material presentation, interactive discussions, and practical training on developing learning tools oriented towards increasing learning motivation. The activity evaluation showed a positive response from participants to the activities carried out, with an average score of 3.65 for participant responses, 3.74 for material relevance, 3.91 for usefulness, and 3.91 for clarity of delivery, all in the very good category. These results indicate that the material presented is relevant to teachers' needs and has great potential to be implemented in learning practices.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam meningkatkan minat baca pada peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 78/IX Nyogan. Metode penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kualitatif yang dilaksanakan dalam menemukan dan mendeskripsikan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 30 orang. Dengan instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu observasi langsung ke Sekolah Dasar Negeri 78/IX Nyogan dan wawancara yang dimana peneliti mewawancarai wali kelas V sebagai narasumber dalam penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara belajar dan minat membaca para peserta didik kelas V. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu terdapat peserta didik yang masih sangat rendah minat baca, sehingga peneliti menggunakan program literasi yaitu membaca 15 menit sehari agar peserta didik dapat menumbuhkan keinginan minat baca yang tinggi. Dengan adanya program ini tentu adanya perkembangan minat baca anak, dapat dilihat dari hasil wawancara bahwasannya program membaca 15 menit sehari dapat membawa pengaruh yang cukup baik. Terbukti peserta didik lebih gemar membaca dan tidak lagi mengalami kesulitan dalam mengungkapkan kembali isi bacaan yang telah dibacanya.
