Abstract

Perubahan hormonal pada ibu hamil meningkatkan kerentanan terhadap terhadap inflamasi gusi dan penyakit periodontal. Inflamasi gusi atau gingivitis merupakan manifestasi yang paling sering terjadi pada ibu hamil dan jika tidak diatasi dapat berlanjut menjadi periodontitis. Periodontitis berpotensi meningkatkan risiko komplikasi kehamilan, seperti kelahiran prematur, preeklamsia, bayi lahir dengan berat badan rendah  (BBLR). Untuk mengurangi risiko komplikasi, ibu hamil perlu diberikan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulut serta hubungannya dengan kehamilan. Masyarakat sebagai kader kesehatan gigi dapat diberdayakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil. Kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) dalam bentuk pelatihan kader kesehatan gigi ini  bertujuan untuk mendidik  kader sebagai perpanjangan tangan yang efektif guna menyebarluaskan informasi tentang kesehatan gigi mulut yang berdampak pada kehamilan. Kegiatan ini telah dilakukan di desa Kima Bajo yang merupakan wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wori, melibatkan 18 peserta  pada tanggal 1 September 2025 dan pendampingan lapangan yang dilakukan di Puskesmas Wori pada tanggal 23 Oktober 2025. Media bantu yang digunakan yakni ppt dan in focus, model gigi, serta poster. Hasil pelatihan kader ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader secara numerik.  Analisa hasil pengukuran pre-test dan post-test dengan  metode Normalized Gain (N-Gain) menunjukkan skor rata-rata N-Gain untuk pengetahuan sebesar 0,66 (peningkatan sedang) dan skor rata-rata keterampilan 0,84 (peningkatan tinggi). Perolehan skor N-Gain menunjukkan pemberian edukasi dalam pelatihan cukup efektif (66%) meningkatkan pengetahuan, dan pelatihan keterampilan efektif (84%) meningkatkan keterampilan perserta pelatihan.

Abstract

Abstract: Along with technological advances, the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system has begun to be widely implemented, including in dental services. This system has been proven to improve the efficiency, safety, and quality of health services. However, its implementation still faces various challenges. Incompleteness in filling out the EMR can impact the accuracy of diagnosis, the effectiveness of treatment, as well as the legal and ethical aspects of the profession. In the field of dentistry, completeness of fields such as odontograms, treatment notes, and supporting attachments is crucial to ensure comprehensive and quality services. This study aims to determine the completeness of filling out the electronic dental medical record at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado General Hospital in 2023-2024. This type of research is descriptive observational using a simple random sampling method with a population of all patient electronic dental medical record data at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado General Hospital in 2023-2024. The results showed that the completeness of the electronic dental medical record section of the patient's identity, odontogram, dental treatment table, supplementary/supporting sheets in 2023-2024 has been completely filled out. In conclusion, the completeness of filling out the electronic dental medical record at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital has been achieved completely. Keywords: completeness; electronic dental medical record; hospital    Abstrak: Seiring kemajuan teknologi, sistem Rekam Medis Elektronik (RME) mulai banyak diterapkan, termasuk pada layanan kedokteran gigi. Sistem ini terbukti meningkatkan efisiensi, keamanan, dan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan. Namun, implementasinya masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Ketidaklengkapan dalam pengisian RME dapat berdampak pada akurasi diagnosis, efektivitas perawatan, serta aspek legal dan etis profesi. Di bidang kedokteran gigi, kelengkapan isian seperti odontogram, catatan perawatan, dan lampiran pendukung sangat penting untuk menjamin pelayanan yang menyeluruh dan berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kelengkapan pengisian rekam medis elektronik gigi di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado tahun 2023-2024. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif observasional menggunakan metode simple random sampling dengan populasi seluruh data rekam medis elektronik gigi pasien di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado pada tahun 2023-2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelengkapan rekam medis elektronik gigi bagian identitas pasien, odontogram, tabel perawatan gigi, lembar pelengkap/penunjang pada tahun 2023-2024 sudah terisi lengkap. Simpulan penelitian ini ialah kelengkapan pengisian rekam medis elektronik gigi di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado sudah terisi lengkap. Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of developing alternative businesses that are environmentally friendly and sustainable in rural areas, one of which is through the cultivation of Galo-Galo honey bees in Nagari Bukik Kanduang, X Koto Diatas District, Solok Regency. This study was conducted to analyze: 1) The potential of Galo-Galo honey bee cultivation in Nagari Bukik Kanduang, 2) The impact of Galo-Galo honey bee cultivation on the socio-economic conditions of the community, 3) The impact of Galo-Galo honey bee cultivation on the physical environment. The type of research used is a mixed method, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research was conducted in Nagari Bukik Kanduang, X Koto Diatas District, Solok Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, interviews with key informants, and distribution of questionnaires to all Galo-Galo honey bee farmers (using total sampling technique). Quantitative data were analyzed using percentage formulas and the respondent achievement level (TCR), while qualitative data were analyzed through the Miles & Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate: 1) The Galo-Galo honey bee cultivation in Nagari Bukik Kanduang has high potential, supported by natural conditions, vegetation, and community interest. 2) Socio-economically, this cultivation positively impacts income increase and creates job opportunities, although most of it is still a side business. 3) From an environmental perspective, this cultivation contributes to forest conservation and maintaining biodiversity through the role of bees as natural pollinators.

Abstract

Background: Dental caries is one of the most prevalent oral health issues. Untreated caries can lead to various complications that negatively impact an individual’s quality of life across physical, psychological, environmental, social, and spiritual dimensions. Objective: This study aims to describe the dental caries status and oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) among fishermen in Manado City. Methods: This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling method, involving 32 fishermen in Manado City as respondents. Dental caries status was measured using the DMF-T index, while the quality of life was assessed using the OHIP-14 questionnaire. Results: Among the 32 respondents, the majority (46.88%) fell into the "very high" category of the DMF-T index. Conversely, regarding oral health-related quality of life, most respondents (59.38%) were categorized as having a "good" quality of life based on the OHIP-14 scores. Conclusion: The majority of fishermen exhibited a very high prevalence of dental caries; however, their perceived quality of life remained in the good category.   Keywords: Dental Caries; Fishermen; Oral Health; Quality of Life

Abstract

Abstract: Oral and dental health issues remain a significant concern in Indonesia, particularly among school-aged children. One preventive effort that can be implemented is through engaging dental health education tailored to children's developmental stages. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the Monopoli Kesehatan Gigi (MOKEGI) board game and educational videos in improving oral health knowledge. The study was conducted among 4th to 6th-grade students at SD Negeri Munte, involving stages of socialization, pretest, educational intervention using MOKEGI and educational videos, followed by a posttest. The results showed that both media effectively increased students' oral health knowledge; however, the MOKEGI board game proved to be more effective. The Mann–Whitney test indicated a significant difference in posttest scores (p=0.023), with a higher mean rank in the MOKEGI group (28.94) compared to the video group (20.06). No significant difference was found in the pretest scores (p 0.473), indicating that the improvement was due to the educational media intervention. In conclusion, both education media are effective in improving sudents’ knowledge, however, MOKEGI is more effective than educational videos. Salah satu upaya preventif yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui pendidikan kesehatan gigi yang menarik dan sesuai dengan tahapan perkembangan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas media permainan Monopoli Kesehatan Gigi (MOKEGI) dan video edukasi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas 4-6 di SD Negeri Munte dengan prosedur berupa sosialisasi, pemberian pretest, pelaksanaan intervensi menggunakan media MOKEGI dan video edukasi, serta posttest. Uji Mann–Whitney menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,023 pada posttest, dengan rerata rank kelompok MOKEGI sebesar 28,94 dan kelompok video edukasi sebesar 20,06. Tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna pada hasil pretest (p=0,473), yang mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan pengetahuan berasal dari intervensi media edukasi yang diberikan. Simpulan penelitian ini ialah kedua media efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta didik, namun permainan MOKEGI terbukti lebih efektif.
