Abstract

Conflict in Yemen has given impact to the region. Saudi Arabia as a country which directly border with Yemen has concerns with expanding of The Shia Houthis movement. By means of the Yemen President request, Saudi Arabia gathering power from its allies and lead a military coalition to rescue the Yemeni Government. And Pakistan is a country that has a very close relationship with Saudi Arabia asked to join with coalition. This research is aimed to explain the foreign policy of Pakistan in Yemen conflict, particularly to respond Saudi Arabia’s appeal to join the in military coalition to fight againts the Houthi group.This research theoretically has built by using Morghenthau Neoclassical Realism perspective on International Relationsand supported by Foreign Policy theory from James N. Rossenau. Formulation of all arguments, data, facts, and theoritical framework in this research using qualitative explanation methods.This research also using nation-state as the level of analyze, the focus on this research is explain the causes of Pakistan foreign policy rejection to join in Saudi Arabia military coalition.Reseacrher has formulated answer-hypothesis which revealed the fact that instability of internal security is causes Pakistan refused Saudi Arabia request. Conflict between government and militant groups and fears of Pakistan government with conflict between Sunni-Shia would be worse considering that the sizeable of Shia's influence in Pakistan territory. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out why the cooperation between the Indonesian and Malaysian governments in dealing with narcotics smuggling cases in Riau Province was not effective and what were the inhibiting factors for the effectiveness of cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia in order to minimize narcotics smuggling cases, especially in Riau Province. The number of narcotics smuggling cases in Indonesia has made the government declare Indonesia a narcotics emergency. From year to year narcotics smuggling cases between Indonesia and Malaysia continue to increase so that there are indications that the cooperation between the two countries is not working effectively because these cases keep repeating themselves and increasing.This research is also guided by the theory of International Cooperation and uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques include interviews and literature studies from several journals, books, documents, and websites. This study shows the ineffectiveness of cooperation and the inhibiting factors experienced by the Indonesian and Malaysian governments in dealing with narcotics smuggling cases. The results of this study conclude that the obstacles or inhibiting factors that make the cooperation between the two countries ineffective are inadequate facilities and infrastructure, the level of quality of the apparatus' activities and the inadequate number of officers, policy conflicts between Indonesia and Malaysia, and weak supervision and prosecution. law. Keywords: Inhibiting Factors, Cooperation, Ineffectiveness, POLRI, PDRM, Narcotics

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the China foreign policy which giving a grant of 30 million RMB yuan to Indonesia. in 9 May 2016 China agreed on economic and technical assistance with Indonesia for infrastructure development in Indonesia. at the same time, in 2015 China has started the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative (BRI) project and Indonesia is included in one part of the project. Then the author tries to reveal the motive for China foreign aid in giving these grants.This study uses the concept of foreign policy and the motive of foreign assistance, using the theory of foreign aid by Degnbol-Martinussen and Engberg-Pedersen and the methodology used in this study is a qualitative explanative method. This method is carried out by collecting data by researching, compiling, interpreting and explaining the data or phenomena that occur, then continued by trying to reveal and analyze the phenomenon or incident related to the problem under study.               The research results show that China's foreign policy has a motive towards Indonesia, which every year there is also an increase in loans and investment in the development sector of China projects in Indonesia. To accelerate the work on projects whose funds come from China loans and investments, China in 2016 giving foreign assistance in the form of a 30 million RMB yuan grant to Indonesia for economic and technical assistance. because Indonesia is included in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) project, the motive for the grant is intended for infrastructure development related to BRI. and in giving these grants China made its image better and then it would make Indonesia dependent on its infrastructure development. Keywords: Foreign Aid, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China Motive, Infrastructure Development

Abstract

This study describes the trade liberalization which causes a Threat of loss for the domestic industries. Hence, the country implements protectionism policies against its industry from the Threat of imports. This research discusses the interests of Indonesia in imposing an import duty policy of trade safeguard measures on the import of ceramic tiles (case study: the import of ceramic tiles from Tiongkok).This qualitative research uses the descriptive explanative method, in which the data sources were taken from; books, journals, official articles, mass media, and official websites. The perspective used by the writer in this thesis is the perspective of Mercantilism with the the nation-state level of analysis and the theory used is the theory of protectionism, it can be seen from the efforts of the country to protect the domestic ceramic tiles industries from the threat of ceramic tiles imports from Tiongkok by implementing import duty policy of trade safeguards measures.The results of this study decribes that Indonesia imposed an import duty policy of trade safeguards measures against the import of ceramic tiles is to protect the ceramic tile industries from threat of imports which are cheaper than local ceramic tiles, which causes domestic industries to be threatened in the form of serious losses that is financial losses.  Keywords : Import Duty, Safeguard Measures, National Interest, Protectionism, Mercantilism Perspective

Abstract

This research will describes the influence of the development policy of IHT (Tobacco Industry) against Indonesian tobacco exports to Germany (2009-2012). There is a controversy of this tobacco business development. Arising from the consciousness of society and the environment make tobacco production presence was opposed by the public. Even the issue addressed by the developed countries to make a policy regarding tobacco restrictions. Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC), an international agreement of the parties (Parties) auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO) on tobacco control. Basic manufacture of this agreement is due to tobacco was considered harmful to health publik.Hal This makes the Indonesian government set a policy IHT development which is one of the priority industries in accordance with the Presidential Decree 28/2008 on National Industrial Policy. Roadmap IHT has also been arranged on Permenperin 117 / M-IND / PER / 2009. IHT development policies are structured to afford competitive in the global market by taking into account health aspects. This research shows that the development of the policy set for the export trade of tobacco have the influence. First, the German demand for imported tobacco decreased. Secondly, the selling price of tobacco also decreased and reduction in tobacco purchases because of overseas market demand reduced.Keywords : Tobacco, The development policy of IHT, Trade, Influence of Policy

Abstract

This research discusses an environmentalist organization in one of the countries in Africa that called The Green Belt Movement organization that based in Nairobi, Kenya. The Green Belt Movement is one of non-governmental organization which attempt to make a change and protection to the environment maintenance and raise an awareness of the public to also preserve and maintain the environment.The research applies qualitative methods, and case study in this research the data collected through library research, literature studies, official documents, academic journal, mass media.The unfavorable environmental phenomena, such as frequent illegal logging, the forest erosion, and the lack of public awareness in maintaining and preserving the environment makes the Green Belt Movement organization strove to contend and solve the environment problems. The integration of environmental issues into international relations is like the introductory texts that tend to simplify into some possibilities. In this case, The Green Belt Movement is an organization formed to handle many environmental problems that need an attention. Abstract

This research aimed to cexplain the role of an international organization CIFOR at a Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Indonesia. The organization is an organization that focused on forestry research. Since the issue of climate change become the attention of the world and also the attention of student. Indonesia became one of the foremost in support of the issue. In COP 13 which is a string of framework under the UNFCCC appears a scheme for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation. The scheme also is the reference Indonesia and other countries for support to solve the problem of climate change, such a scheme known as REDD. The theory used in this paper is the role theory. In this research, The method used of qualitative methods, qualitative research is a descriptive understanding. Abstract

This thesis discusses the interests of Indonesian natural rubber to Japan. Rubber becomes the object of research because it is one of the needs of the world's advanced industrial countries. Natural rubber as an industrial raw material is an Indonesian export commodity that contributes the largest foreign exchange in the non-oil and gas sector from the agricultural sector. Japan is the destination for natural rubber exports because Indonesia is motivated by the natural rubber trade. In analyzing Indonesia's interests in exporting natural rubber to Japan. The author uses a liberalism perspective that is supported by the analysis level of the nation state. The Concept used is the national interest and the International Trade theory. This research is an explanatory qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. The export of Indonesian natural rubber to Japan is a supplier of foreign exchange and a potential market opportunity for Indonesian natural rubber. Japan is a potential market for Indonesian natural rubber. Abstract

This research aims to analyze how An African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) peacekeepers made efforts to resolve the conflict in Somalia from 2007 until 2012. Somalia's conflict involves transitional Federal Government (TFG) assisted by the An African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) with Islamic Court Union (ICU) and Al-Shabaab. In addition, Ethiopia is also involved in the conflict. Somalia's conflict attracts international attention. African Union (AU) as a regional organization plays an important role to resolve conflicts that occur in the territory of its member states. The UN also decided to participateto resolve conflicts in Somalia.The data used in this study a secondary data. Secondary data was obtained through library research, and search online media research. The writer uses of the pluralism perspectiveand organization level of analysis. Theories used in this study is based on the organization theory by Clive Archer. The research result is indicate that in resolving the Somali conflict, the UN Security Council mandates the African Union (AU) as a regional organization to establish peace operations that is African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM). African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) carries out a mandate as a peacekeeping mission in Somalia, so that the government can run as it should and people can live without fear of potential recurrence of conflict in the country. African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) also acts as extension of international organizations in providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Somalia. These things make AMISOM an important element in efforts to restore security stability in Somalia. Abstract

This research explain about interest Tiongkok to Africa through Forum On China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). Economic development in Tiongkok the rapid and the lack of energy sources as a supporting factor the reason why Tiongkok increasingly strengthen its relationship with African countries rich in natural resources especially oil the strengthening of International cooperation in the field of energy is also done by Tiongkok.Tiongkok believe that between Tiongkok and African countries have a common good, namely frienship, peace, cooperation and development. FOCAC is cooperation forum founded by Tiongkok and Africa which was hold from 10 to 12 October 2000 in Beijing Tiongkok. Tiongkok focus on Africa through the cooperation in economic terms beginning at the Meeting Of the High-Level Conference (KTT) Tiongkok Africa that produces FOCAC since the year 2000.In analyze the problem in this study, the authors use the theory of Graham T.
