Abstract

This study aims, to determine the factors that support the achievement of student achievement in elementary schools in terms of the teacher's role. This research was conducted at the Inpres Pattallassang Elementary School. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with the aim of describing the teacher's role in increasing student motivation and learning achievement at the elementary school education level. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews and observation. The fundamental thing in qualitative research is the researcher as an instrument. Therefore, in research, data analysis will be carried out from the time this research takes place to data collection to the preparation of research reports that become the object or target of research in the field. For qualitative data analysis, a sequence of analytical activities is carried out in stages, namely the process of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verifying information into statements. The results of the study reveal that teachers have a very important role in student motivation and achievement such as being a demonstrator, class managers, mediators, facilitators, evaluators, and motivators for students so that students can achieve their learning achievements.

Abstract

Kerajinan dream cather sebagai upaya pelatihan dalam social-entrepreneurship pada mahasiswa Prodi Sosiologi. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan agar mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan, kemandirian dan jiwa kewirausahaan sosial sebagai wujud cara dalam menyelesaikan masalah sosial melalaui strategi bisnis. Selain itu, untuk membantu mahasiswa agar dapat mengembangkan kerajinan tangan yang bernilai ekonomis dengan pemanfaatan barang bekas dan limbah bulu ayam menjadi sebuah hiasan pernak pernik dan dapat dijadikan gantungan kunci yakni dream catcher. Pendampingan dilakukan secara langsung di kampus Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Metode pelaksanaan pendampingan adalah melakukan praktik langsung kemudian di demonstrasikan di depan mahasiswa. Materi pendampingan disampaikan dengan mempresentasikan sejarah asal usul dan langkah-langkah pembuatan dream catcher. Hasil pendampingan ini mahasiswa mendapatkan referensi baru untuk membuat kerajinan tangan yang dapat bernilai ekonomis dan berbahan baku yang mudah didapatkan. Kemudian mahasiswa juga merencanakan startegi pemasaran pada para pelaku usaha yaitu dengan tetap menjaga kualitas produk kerajinan tangan dream catcher, promosi dan pengemasan yang unik.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the social meaning of Hajj and the community in Pattiro. Research focusing on Pattiro Village was carried out using a qualitative approach. The data collection process through in-depth interviews and analyzed by four stages of data collection, data reduction, data assessment and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the social meaning of the Hajj in the Pattiro comes from the community's perception of the heavy Hajj procession, so that everyone who goes through it has a high spiritual experience. The social status of Hajj indicated by the  reward in various social activities. Another form of appreciation is giving the title of nobility (Karaeng or Daeng) by the leadership qualities or are a role model for society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the manifest function of the Branch and Branch Development Institute and Mosque Development (LPCR-PM) of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership in Makassar City in promoting social change within society through the development of Muhammadiyah branches, sub-branches, and mosques. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of LPCR-PM administrators, branch and sub-branch managers, mosque administrators (takmir), stakeholders, and beneficiary communities. The research is conducted at Jabal Nur Muhammadiyah Mosque, Nurul Da’wah Muhammadiyah Mosque, and Ta’mirul Masajid Muhammadiyah Mosque in Makassar City. The findings show that the manifest function of LPCR-PM is implemented through organizational development, strengthening of religious education, socio-economic empowerment of congregations, and the development of character and social awareness within the community. These programs have successfully transformed the function of mosques from merely places of worship into centers of da’wah, education, economic empowerment, and social services. The impacts are evident in the strengthening of congregation-based MSMEs, educational assistance, and the management of zakat and almsgiving (sadaqah), as well as in increased social solidarity, congregation participation, youth involvement in mosque governance, and growing public trust in Muhammadiyah mosque institutions. This study concludes that LPCR-PM of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership in Makassar City has successfully transformed mosques into adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable centers for social solutions.
