Abstract

Water is an essential need for all living things on earth. For industrial activities, water has an important role for production and non-production activities. The use of water at a paper company in Karawang is required around 7000 m3 per day. So that the company is required to have a water treatment plant to meet the needs of production and non-production water. The function of the raw water treatment plant (Raw water Treatment) in the company aims to get good water quality from its water source, namely Citarum river water. So it is necessary to analyze the condition of the water first by means of the Jar test. With the Jar test, the optimum dose can be determined in the addition of coagulant and flocculant solutions. In addition, the jar test with the addition of flocculants and coagulants can also reduce the pH and turibidity of raw water. From the results of statistical tests using a paired sample test, pH and Turbidity levels have a significant change with a value of (Sig.) < 0.05, so H0 is rejected. The method of adding flocculants and coagulants with the Jar Test method can reduce pH levels of 10% and Turbidity of 95%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best route for spare part product distribution. This research was conducted in one of the companies engaged in the production of spare parts, where in the company there is a Logistics department that functions to handle the product distribution process. In the process of distributing goods, costs are required. In addition, the trucks used in the process of distributing goods to each distributor go through different routes, so this research also aims to determine the best route based on the distance between locations. In order to obtain the best route, this research offers a solution using the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) method by determining the route to be taken by the truck. The best route selection using the ACO algorithm uses the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) where one location point can only be made one visit. the best route results while the first cycle results are depots located in the area in the area of the best route V0-V4-V6-V2-V5-V7-V1-V8-V3-V0. That is the depot located in the Karawang area (V0) to MPP (V4), then to DAS (V6), then to KKI (V2), then to TBB (V5), then to MTN (V7), then to DYH (V1), then to MMH (V8), then to MSS (V3), and back to the depot (V0). The route covers a distance of 83 km. The route covers a distance of 255.5 km.Keywords: Ant Colony Optimization (ACO); Goods Distribution; Best Route

Abstract

The Citarum River is one of the supports for daily life such as raw materials for clean water by PDAM, irrigation, toilets, water reservoirs, transportation, recreation, irrigation sources for agriculture, industry. These activities, especially industries that have recently developed very quickly, have unwittingly produced liquid and solid wastes that enter the Citarum watershed, so it is suspected that this river has been polluted. The research was carried out at 6 sampling points, namely: Point 1: Anggadita Village; Point 2: Pindodeli Area; Point 3: Telukjambe Bridge; Point 4: Unsika Area; Point 5: Karawang Square: and Point 6: Tanjungpura Purwadana Area. The time of observation is: August 2021-January 2022. This study aims to determine how much influence industrial activity has on river water quality based on the pollution index (Permen LH No.115 of 2003) with correlation and simple regression methods. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of industrial activity on the decline in water quality of the Citarum River, Kab. Karawang by 95.6%.
