Abstract

This community service is entitled "Blood Pressure Check, Uric Acid And Knowledge About Hypertension In Taman Ayu Village, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency". The method used in this activity is to check blood pressure, uric acid, blood sugar and cholesterol free of charge. Because Taman Ayu Village consists of 10 hamlets, so we asked each hamlet for 7-8 people. Participants were gathered at the Taman Ayu Village Office, where each participant's hamlet came in turn. Participants were asked to fill out informed consent, then they were examined, filled out questionnaires and intervened with education using booklet media. The implementation of community service activities which include checking blood pressure, uric acid and providing knowledge about hypertension went smoothly even though there were some elderly who came late, as well as when explaining, they had to repeat often considering that the service participants were the elderly. Support was also obtained from various sectors as evidenced by the large number of elderly who came during the activity and the location was facilitated by the Head of Taman Ayu Kematan Gerung Village, West Lombok.

Abstract

Demam tifoid adalah suatu penyakit infeksi sistemik akut yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Salmonella typhi. Menurut data World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2003, diperkirakan terdapat sekitar 17 juta kasus demam tifoid di seluruh dunia dengan 600.000 kasus kematian tiap tahun. Sedangkan di Indonesia, diperkirakan terdapat sekitar 900.000 kasus dengan >20.000 kematian per tahun. Penegakan diagnosis demam tifoid dilakukan secara klinis dan melalui pemeriksaan laboratorium terutama melalui uji serodiagnostik. Berbagai uji serodiagnostik yang digunakan untuk mendeteksi IgM anti Salmonella typhi diantaranya adalah TUBEX TF dan ELISA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan interpretasi hasil uji TUBEX TF dan ELISA pada pemeriksaan IgM anti Salmonella typhi. Penelitian ini bersifat observasional analisis dengan rancangan cross sectional studi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah consecutive sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 44, semua sampel diperiksa dengan uji TUBEX TF dan ELISA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk hasil pemeriksaan dengan TUBEX TF menunjukkan hasil 24 sampel (54,5%) positif dan 20 sampel (45,5%) negatif, sedangkan untuk hasil pemeriksaan dengan ELISA menunjukkkan hasil 6 sampel (13,6%) positif dan 38 sampel (86,4%) negatif. Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa hasil dari kedua alat berbeda secara signifikan dan hasil TUBEX TF dengan hasil ELISA memiliki kesesuaian yang rendah. Sedangkan hasil analisis statistik perbandingan TUBEX TF dengan ELISA menunjukkan bahwa keduanya memiliki korelasi sedang, mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dan mempunyai hubungan yang searah. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi skor yang dihasilkan dari tes TUBEX TF, maka semakin tinggi indeks antibodi yang dihasilkan oleh tes ELISA.

Abstract

Air minum isi ulang adalah air minum yang sudah melalui proses disinfeksi seperti UV, Ozon, RO dan UV +RO yang memenuhi persyaratan pemerintah. Hadirnya depot air minum isi ulang menjadi solusi bagi masyarakat yang tidak mampu membeli air minum dalam kemasan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kualitas air minum isi ulang yang ada pada depot air minum isi ulang di Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Eksperimental Laboratory. Menggunakan sampel sebanyak 50 depot air minum isi ulang di kabupaten Lombok barat yang tersebar di 10 kecamatan. pemeriksaan yang digunakan adalah Pewarnaan Gram, Uji IMVIC dan gula-gula. Dari 50 sampel yang digunakan didapatkan bakteri jenis E. coli sebanyak 3, Serratia sebanyak 6, Bacillus sebanyak 4, Proteus sebanyak 13, Klebsiella sebanyak 1, Pseudomonas sebanyak 11, Aeromonas sebanyak 9, Morganella sebanyak 1, Providencia sebanyak 1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa air minum isi ulang di kabupaten Lombok barat tercemar Escherichia coli dan bakteri coliform karena masih terdapat bakteri baik bakteri yang sifatnya pathogen maupun bakteri non pathogen.

Abstract

Atonia uteri is a state of weak tone or uterine contraction, which causes the uterus to be unable to close open bleeding from the site of placental implantation after the baby and placenta are born. Maternal mortality in Indonesia is still relatively high, one of the causes is postpartum bleeding, especially caused by uteri atonia. This study aims to find out the relationship of age with the incidence of uteri atonia in postpartum mothers in RSUD. Dr. Soedjono Selong NTB. This study is observationally analytical using cross sectional design. The size of the study sample was 206 samples. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data was analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results of this study were obtained age with a risk category of 67 (32.5%) and a category of not at risk as much as 139 (67.5%). There was an age relationship with the incidence of uteri atonia in postpartum mothers with a p-value of 0.000. The conclusion in this study was an age-related relationship with the incidence of atonia uteri postpartum mothers in RSUD. Dr. Soedjono Selong NTB.

Abstract

Candidiasis or yeast infection is a fungal infection that occurs due to excessive fungus culture, which under normal conditions appears in small amounts. The incidence of candidiasis in Asia from several epidemiological studies in Hong Kong states that Candida albicans is the species most often identified with an average of 56% of candidiasis cases (Puspitasari, 2019). This research is an experimental study. The design carried out in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment groups consisting of ethanol extracts of mango leaves (Mangifera indica L.) with a concentration of 250 μg / mL, 500 μg / mL, 750 μg / mL, 1000 μg / mL mL and 2 control groups. The extract is made by maceration method. Samples were filtered and concentrated by evaporation, then a serial concentration of 250 μg / mL, 500 μg / mL, 750 μg / mL 1000 μg / mL was carried out, after which the sensitivity test was carried out with the paper disc diffusion method using Potato Dextrose Agar. Performed four repetitions at each concentration. The average of inhibition zone area obtained at a concentration of 250 μg / mL was obtained at 6.25 mm, 500 μg / mL was obtained 8.5 mm, 750 μg / mL was obtained at 8.75 mm 1000 μg / mL at 12.25 mm. Each concentration of mango leaf extract (Mangifera indica L. var. Arum manis) contained a zone of inhibition to the growth of the fungus Candida albicans.

Abstract

Dengue virus infection can attack hepatic cells. Hepar produces thrombopoeitin hormone that regulates platelet production. Platelets are produced in the bone marrow, in the liver and kidneys. One of the causes of decreased platelets in patients with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is due to dengue virus attack liver cells that interfere with the production of platelets. Liver damage also causes the release of transaminase enzymes SGPT and SGOT, resulting in increased enzyme SGPT and SGOT. This study aims to determine the relationship between SGPT and SGOT levels with platelet counts in patients with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever at RSUDP NTB The research method used is cross sectional and accidental sample as sampling method. This study used 77 samples. The data analysis used is Chi Square.Based on the analysis of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) patients in RSUDP NTB, the average of SGPT is 81,97 U/L, SGOT 71,6 U/L, and trombosit 106.000 mg/dL. Based on results of chi square analysis there is a relationship between SGPT and SGOT levels and trombosit levels in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) patients in RSUDP NTB. The higher the levels of SGPT or SGOT, the lower of  platelet counts.

Abstract

The immune system is a collection of immune cells found in the blood and lymph fluid, in tissues and organs that work together to protect the body against attack by foreign substances, such as microbes (bacteria, fungi, and parasites), viruses, cancer cells, and toxins. The immune system is very complex, which can recognize and remember millions of different foreign substances. Immunity or resistance to infection is obtained from the activity and intact function of two closely related systems, namely the innate immune system and the acquired immune system (adaptive immune system). Exterior defenses, such as skin and mucous membranes, phagocytic leukocytes and serum proteins are elements of the innate immune system, which act nonspecifically against foreign substances or cells without having to recognize a specific identity. The adaptive immune system differs from the innate immune system, depending on the specific recognition by lymphocytes of foreign substances or cells. Understanding the functional interactions between the innate and adaptive immune systems is very important in future disease investigations and therapeutics.

Abstract

Dari data WHO tahun 2015 infeksi nosokomial didunia mempunyai angka kejadian yang cukup tinggi yaitu 5% per tahun atau 9 juta dari 190 juta pasien yang di rawat di rumah sakit. akibat infeksi noskmial ini angka kematian mencapai 1 juta pertahunnya . Survey yang dilakukan oleh WHO di 14 negara dari 55 rumah sakit ditemukan 8,7 % pasien dengan infeksi nosokomial dan 1,4 juta orang di seluruh dunia menderita infeksi nosokomial yang diakibatkan perawatan di rumah sakit. (Dian 2011). Penelitian ini merupakan peneliatan eksperimental untuk mengetahui uji daya hambat  ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit (Curcuma domestica val.) terhadap pertumbuhan Pseudomnas aeruginosa. Ekstrak dibuat dengan metode maserasi . Sampel disaring dan dipekatkan dengan cara penguapan kemudian dibuat serial konsentrasi (25%,50%,75%,100%). Selain itu dilakukan uji daya hambat dengan metode difusi sumuran dengan media Mueller Hinton Agar. Hasil yang diperoleh ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit (Curcuma domestica val.) sensitif terhadap bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa dan terbentuk zona hambat dari masing-masing konsentrasi. Uji statistik One Way Anova diperoleh hasil 0.000 (p<0,05) berarti ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit mempunyai daya hambat terhadap bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is a common skin disease that people complain about. Acne vulgaris is generally caused by Propionibacterium acnes bacterial infection. Treatment of Acne vulgaris can use antibiotics such as Minocycline and Erythromycin. Long-term use of antibiotics can lead to an increase in the occurrence of resistance. Research objective to determine the difference in sensitivity of Minocycline and Erythromycin antibiotics to Propionibacterium acnes bacteria that cause Acne vulgaris. This study used a type of laboratory pre-experimental research with a one-shot case study design. The research was conducted at the Health Laboratory Testing and Calibration Center (BLKPK) of NTB Province in February 2023. The sample used was Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. The data obtained were analyzed with the Independent t-test test. The results of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria are sensitive to Minocycline antibiotics with an average inhibition zone diameter of 22.8 mm and Erythromycin with an average inhibition zone diameter of 24.2 mm. Independent t-test results obtained a p-value of 0,688 which states there is no significant difference between the sensitivity of P. acnes bacteria to Minocycline and Erythromycin antibiotics. There is no difference in the sensitivity of Minocycline and Erythromycin antibiotics to Propionibacterium acnes bacteria that cause Acne vulgaris.

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus (DENV) and transmitted through the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Macrophage infection by the dengue virus causes activation of T-helper and T-cytotoxic so that lymphokines and interferon-gamma are produced. Interferon-gamma will activate monocytes so that various inflammatory mediators are secreted such as TNF-, IL-1, and IL-6 which results in endothelial cell dysfunction and plasma leakage. Vascular disorders that occur are characterized by a decrease in the number of platelets. This study aims to determine the relationship between TNF- levels and the number of platelets in patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever at RSUD DR. Soedjono Selong, East Lombok Regency, NTB Province. Analytical observation with cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in RSUD DR. Soedjono Selong; the time of the study was April-September 2021. The sample of this study was dengue hemorrhagic fever patients who were hospitalized at RSUD DR. Soedjono Selong as many as 70 people. This research uses the method of consecutive sampling, with the independent variable in the form of TNF- and the dependent variable in the form of platelets. The platelet count was checked withThe Sysmex XN 550 autoanalyzer uses the hydrodynamic impedance counting method (sheath flow DC method) and checks the levels of TNF-? with an ELISA kit. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS, namely univariate test, and bivariate test with Chi-square. There were 27 (38.6%) males and 43 (61.4%) females with a total of 70 patients. The age of the youngest patient was 1 year and the age of the oldest patient was 66 years with a mean age of 24 years ± 20 years. All 70 dengue hemorrhagic fever patients had normal TNF- levels. There were 30 (48.6%) with normal platelet counts and 36 (51.4%) with abnormal platelet counts. And found a non-significant relationship between levels of TNF- with the number of platelets with a value (p = 0.908). There is no relationship between levels of TNF- with platelet count in dengue hemorrhagic fever patients in RSUD DR. Soedjono Selong, East Lombok Regency, NTB Province.
