Abstract

PT. Cendrawasih Wiputra Mandiri (CWM) having its address at Danau Maninjau Street, Rufei No. 19 Sorong City, is a cable TV and Channel company that has a lot of demand for coverage both in the Sorong City area and outside Sorong City. However, information about the process of requesting coverage is still not optimal, this causes many customers who often cancel the process of requesting coverage due to lack of information about the process of coverage. Therefore, PT. CWM needs to take advantage of the website for business development, especially in terms of information related to coverage request services. The use of the website must be maximized by PT. CWM, many employees of PT. CWM which has not been able to operate the website for coverage requests properly. For this reason, the Community Service (PkM) team needs to educate about the use of the website. Education is an important thing and really needs to be done because with education PT. CWM employees can work more optimally, especially in terms of operating a website for coverage requests. The education carried out by the PkM team had a huge impact, because apart from teaching how to operate a website, the PkM team also shared knowledge about how to solve problems related to using the website. The main purpose of this PkM activity is to share knowledge and care for others, especially to help PT. CWM to continue to innovate and survive during the pandemic

Abstract

This study examines human values ​​in the film Dear Nathan by Erisca Febriani. The purpose of this study is to describe in depth the human values ​​contained in the Dear Nathan film by Erica Febriani. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The formulation of the problem how are the human values ​​contained in the film Dear Nathan Erisca by Febriani Erisca Febriani?. The data source is the film Dear Nathan Erisca by Febriani Erisca Febriani. Data collection techniques are watching techniques, listening techniques and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques include three components, namely: (1) data reduction (2) data presentation, (3) drawing conclusions. In conclusion, the Dear Nathan film by Erisca Febriani, there are 5 human values, namely: (1) the value of truth (2) the value of peace (3) the value of love or compassion (4) the value of right behavior or virtue, and (5) the value of non-violence

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh dan penokohan yang terdapat dalam novel “Aku Mencintaimu Shayuan” karya Es Pernyata. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam Penelitian ini adalah teknik pustaka dengan menganalisis isi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam Penelitian ini adalah teknik model analisis mengalir, yang meliputi tiga komponen, yaitu (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) penarikan simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan tokoh utama dalam novel ”Dia Adalah Kakakku” karya Tere Liye adalah Laisa, sedangkan tokoh tambahan yaitu Mamak Lainuri, Dalimunte, Ikanuri, Wibisana, dan Yashinta. Tokoh utama yaitu Laisa memiliki watak  penyimpan penderitaan sendiri, pengalah, galak, selalu melakukan yang terbaik untuk adik-adiknya, teladan yang baik, selalu menepati janji,  tegas dan disiplin, pekerja keras, orang yang tegar, tidak pernah mengeluh, tidak mudah menyerah, penyayang dan pelindung keluarga serta rela berkorban. Sedangkan Tokoh tambahan terdiri dari : a)  Mamak Lainuri memiliki watak selalu baik, kuat,  pekerja keras, cinta keluarga dan bijaksana merawat anak-anaknya. b) Dalimunte memiliki watak yaitu pintar, rajin membantu, pengertian, mudah sedih dan menangis, keras kepala, tidak mudah mengambil keputusan. c) Wibisana memiliki watak sebagai berikut : bijaksana, nakal dan jahil, suka mencuri , keras kepala. d) Ikanuri memiliki watak sebagai berikut : nakal dan jahil, suka menipu,  suka melawan kakaknya,  keras kepala, sulit meyembunyikan perasaannya. e) Yashinta memiliki watak sebagai berikut : memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang besar dan tidak sabar, suka merajuk, perhatian, mencintai  alam, pintar dan cerdas serta penyayang keluarga.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is still hitting until now, this has caused unrest among the public, especially for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Many SME players have also felt the impact of this situation, one of which is Mrs. Marthina, whose address is at Moyo kilometer 13, Sorong City, West Papua Province. The problem faced by Mrs. Martina is optimizing the existing resources so that she gets a profit in the midst of the pandemic situation so that her business can continue to operate. In such a situation, steps are needed to increase profits. These steps must use a technique or method so that they have estimates in a more accurate calculation. One method that can be used is the Simplex method, for that the Community Service (PkM) team at Victory Sorong University offers a resource optimization training program by utilizing the simplex method and IT in the form of POM-QM software for windows version 5.3. The main objective of this PKM program is to share knowledge to help SMEs to innovate and maintain business activities.

Abstract

Es Teler and Es Pisang Ijo are Indonesian food products in the form of ice snacks which are widely consumed by the public. These snacks are usually sold on the roadside. Mr. Leman, is one of the small-scale business actors who sell Es Teler and Es Pisang Ijo in Sorong City, Southwest Papua, to make ends meet. The problem faced by Mr. Leman in selling Es products is how to determine the optimal amount of Es Teler and Es Pisang Ijo sales production, so that maximum sales profits are obtained. This problem can be solved using the Simplex Method which is a part of Linear Programming (PL) and utilizing Information Technology, namely the POM-QM for Windows software to make the calculation process efficient. The method used in data collection is by interview and observation. The results of the analysis show that manual calculations using the simplex method and PL applications using the POM-QM for Windows software in optimizing sales obtain the same maximum profit, IDR 566,667 per day's production.

Abstract

Increasing Ability to Analyze Information in Explanatory Text Using the Discovery Learning Learning Model for Class XI-Beauty Students at SMK Negeri 2 Kota Sorong. Formulation of the problem How to increase the ability to analyze information in explanatory text using the Discovery learning learning model for class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Sorong city?. The purpose of the research is to find out the increase in the ability to analyze information in explanatory texts using the Discovery learning learning model for class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Sorong City. The form of this research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 15 students of class XI-Beauty at SMK Negeri 2 Sorong City. The method used is a qualitative - quantitative description method. The research includes two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection was carried out by tests and nontes. Data collection tools include observation guidelines, journals, interview guidelines, and photo documentation guidelines. It can be concluded as follows: There was an increase in the ability to analyze explanatory text using the Discovery learning learning model with non-test results in cycle I and cycle II covering two aspects, namely (1) Function (2) Completeness of General Explanation Structure, Process, Closing. The increase in the ability to analyze explanatory text is known from the results of cycle I and cycle II. The average value of the ability to analyze explanatory text is known from the results of cycle I. The average value of ability to analyze explanatory text in cycle I was 76% or in the less category, and experienced an increase in cycle II to 81.6% or in the good category. This shows an increase in the average value of writing the text of the observation report from cycle I to cycle II of 5.6%. In cycle II, using the Discopery Learning learning model, the number of students is 15 with a minimum average score that has been fulfilled, which exceeds the KKM score of 75.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan penulisan pada laporan PKL Mahasiswa Program Studi Manajemen, Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis, Universitas Victory Sorong berdasarkan PEUBI. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara dokumentasi (mengumpulkan laporan PKL sebagai objek penelitian), kemudian studi dokumen (analisis isi laporan PKL). Setelah itu, catatan observasi terhadap kesalahan penulisan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah mengidentifikasi bentuk kesalahan penulisan, mengklasifikasikan kesalahan berdasarkan jenisnya (penulisan huruf, kata, tanda baca, unsur serapan, menghitung frekuensi kesalahan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menemukan 60 data terkait dengan kesalahan penulisan pada laporan PKL berdasarkan PUEBI. Adapun uraian tersebut sebagai berikut. Kutipan yang menunjukan kesalahan penulisan huruf, yang mencakup huruf kapital, dan huruf miring, terdapat 16 data. Kutipan yang menunjukan kesalahan penulisan kata, yang mencangkup kata dasar, dan kata depan.terdapat 32 data. kutipan yang menunjukan kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca yang mencakup, tanda titik, tanda koma, serta tanda kurung terdapat 13 data.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the syntactic development of Gee, a 3-year-11-month-old girl living in Sorong City, Southwest Papua, Indonesia, using Mean Length of Utterance (MLU) analysis. The study was conducted due to the limited research on child language acquisition in the linguistic context of Southwest Papua, particularly studies employing MLU as an indicator of syntactic development. A descriptive qualitative approach supported by simple quantitative analysis was applied in this research. Data were collected through observation, recording of spontaneous speech, and transcription of Gee’s utterances during daily interactions with family members. The data were analyzed by calculating the total number of morphemes and utterances, determining the MLU value, and comparing the result with Brown’s stages of language development. The findings show that 464 morphemes were identified in 122 utterances, resulting in an MLU score of 3.80. Based on Brown’s classification, this score places Gee in Stage V of syntactic development. The findings further indicate that Gee was able to produce various sentence types, including declarative, interrogative, imperative, and negative sentences. In addition, the data reveal the influence of a bilingual environment through the use of Indonesian and Papuan Malay elements, as well as the influence of audiovisual media on vocabulary and pronoun choice. These findings suggest that Gee’s syntactic development is consistent with the typical language development characteristics of children of her age and is shaped by diverse linguistic inputs from her environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konstruksi frasa dalam running text berita di televisi nasional dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa kutipan running text dari beberapa siaran berita televisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, karena bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur dan jenis frasa. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari kutipan running text dari siaran berita pada beberapa televisi nasional.Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi dan pencatatan running text yang muncul, kemudian mengelompokkannya berdasarkan jenis frasa dan struktur yang digunakan. Pencatatan dilakukan secara sistematis agar memudahkan proses analisis data, serta membantu dalam mengidentifikasi pola-pola penggunaan frasa dalam running text berita televisi sedangkan teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasikan unsur inti dan unsur penjelas dalam frasa kemudian mengklasifikasikannya berdasarkan jenis frasa dan kelas katanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 32 data frasa yang terdiri dari frasa nominal, frasa verbal, dan frasa presposisional serta 13 jenis kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca. Frasa nominal dengan pola endosentris atributif merupakan jenis frasa yang paling dominnan digunakan dalam running text. Berdasarkan komponen pembentuknya, sebagian besar frasa tergolong frasa endosentris atributif, sedangkan frasa preposisional termasuk frasa eksosentris direktif. Penggunaan frasa dalam running text menunjukkan bahwa penyusunan  bahasa yang ringkas, padat, dan komunikatif dapat dengan cepat dipahami oleh penonton.
