Abstract

In Indonesia, the maternal mortality rate is still high, especially in death in maternity mothers, and this is a common problem that must be solved. One of the causes of maternal death is the occurrence of long labor that will be at risk of bleeding with various causes such as uterine atonia, birth canal lacerations, infections, fatigue, and shock. In infants will increase the risk of bleeding, death, trauma, and disease. This long labor can be prevented and pursued by various actions, one of which is non-pharmacological efforts, namely using birthing balls during the labor process, especially during the first stage of labor. This study aims to find out the effect of birthing balls on the progress of the first stage of childbirth on primigravida. This research method is a quasi-experiment with design research posttest only control design. Samples in the study of mothers born from April to June 2021 were distinguished between the treatment and control groups. The results showed an effect on the use of birthing balls on the progress of the first stage of labor in a primigravida with a value of ρ value 0.000 < α 0.05 with a time difference between the treatment group and control of 2.9 hours. It is expected that pregnant women can prepare for the labor process by increasing knowledge and experience, especially by using the birthing ball from the end of pregnancy.

Abstract

Toilet training for children is an attempt to train children to be able to control urination and defecation. The survey was obtained from 10 mothers who have children aged 1-3 years, 5 (50%) mothers said they did not understand toilet training, 3 (30%) children were very difficult to teach toilet training. The purpose of this study was to find out how the effect of the provision of health education on the level of knowledge about toilet training for mothers with toddler age children (1-3 years) at PAUD Al Hidayah Bakung Udanawu, Blitar Regency in 2022. This research method is a pre-experimental type. The subjects of this study were mothers who had toddler age children (1-3 years), with a sample size of 16. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Collecting data through primary data using a questionnaire and this study using univariate and bivariate analysis. Results of the study before the mother's level of knowledge about the health pedidikan given toilet training is known almost entirely (76.9 %) of respondents knowledgeable enough, whereas after the mother's level of knowledge about the health pedidikan given toilet training known to most (69.2 %) of respondents knowledgeable either. Based on statistical test using the Wilcoxon signed rank test known that the magnitude of the significant value of 0.014 with α=0.05. ρ value < α , then H0 rejected and H1 accepted. From the results of this study, it is expected that respondents can understand and remain consistent in implementing toilet training for preschool children.

Abstract

Spatial visual intelligence is intelligence related to visual (vision) and the use of space and making models or images based on the results of observations made before. According to a survey found by researchers in March, 13 children had delayed spatial visual intelligence and 11 were able to recognize images but still needed stimulation. This study aims to determine the influence of animated video media on the development of spatial visual intelligence in children aged 4-5 years at Al Hidayah Bakung Kindergarten, Blitar Regency in 2023. This research uses a pre-experimental design of one group pre test post test design technique carried out at Al Hidayah Bakung Kindergarten, Blitar Regency. The study population of all students aged 4-5 years was 24 respondents. With the technique of sampling the total population. The independent variable of the study was animation media, while the dependent variable of spatial visual intelligence development was measured by the Stanford Binet test. The data were then analyzed by testing Wilcoxon's hypothesis with α = 0.05.The results of the development of spatial visual intelligence before the provision of animation media from 24 respondents, most of the 13 respondents in the category of children need to get more intensive stimulation and after being given animation media almost all of them, namely 22 respondents are categorized as intelligent children and can develop quite well. The results of the Wilcoxon test show ρ value = 0.000 ≤ α = 0.05 so that H1 is accepted. In conclusion, there is an influence on the development of spatial visual intelligence in children aged 4-5 years. So mothers are expected to be able to maximize the use of animation media as a facility to develop spatial visual intelligence in children aged 4-5 years. Animation media can be given every day for 15 – 20 minutes.

Putting a baby to sleep is not easy, there are many things we have to do. Sometimes babies' sleep is not optimal, this is due to many factors, one of which is because the body is tired after excessive activity. From the initial survey conducted by researchers at Posyandu anggrek Pojok Village, Kediri City in 2023, there were 10 babies, babies who were fussy and after having a baby massage experienced a sound sleep (40%), babies who had not had a baby massage and experienced disturbances in their sleep (60 %). This shows that babies who have not had massage experience problems sleeping. The aim of this study was to determine the difference in sleep quantity in babies aged 3-6 months between before and after baby massage at Posyandu anggrek Pojok Village, Kediri City in 2023. The design used in this research was pre-experiment, with pre-test and post-test methods. The variables measured in this study were (Y1) the quantity of baby sleep before the baby massage and (Y2) the quantity of baby sleep after the baby massage. This research uses the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test statistical test. The results of the research from a total of 20 respondents showed that the baby's sleep quantity was good after baby massage and previously the baby's sleep quantity was insufficient (80%), while the baby's sleep quantity was good after baby massage and previously the baby's sleep quantity was sufficient (20%). The results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test statistical test at a significance level of α = 0.05 showed statistical test results with a significance value of p = 0.000 < 0.05, which means that H0 was rejected, meaning there was a difference in the quantity of baby sleep between before and after baby massage. at Posyandu anggrek Pojok Village, Kediri City in 2023. Based on the results of this research, it is hoped that the respondent's family will carry out baby massage because the benefits of baby massage are very good for optimizing growth and development in babies.

This study uses research methods Analytical Correlation. In this research, sampling techniques or sampling technique used is the technique of the total sample (total sampling). This study was conducted on 42 respondents parents and pre-school children. The results showed that based on the results of the Chi Square test with a significant level of 0.05, p value = 0.009 = 0.05 then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, which means that there is a relationship between the mother's work status and child development while the value (r ) = 0.538 shows that the relationship between mother's work status and child development has a moderate correlation with a positive direction, which means that the better the mother's job status, the better the development of children in RA Azzahro, Kencong District, Jember Regency in 2022.
