Abstract

Civics curriculum from year 1975-2013 are ultimately aims to make citizens say, act, and behave, based on Pancasila or spirit in everyday life that are run from the time school education to become a high school mature and become the pride of the nation bless yourself, family, school, state and nation with the moral soul/good and intelligent character who can advance and competitive in national and international era. Civics strength is on the Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, values, morals, local knowledge and diversity in cultured. There are weaknesses in the teaching of Civics monotonous and more innovative not only focuses on the cognitive, affective and psychomotor while dispensed and not included on the national exam. Opportunities Civics still need a lot of development in the scientific body of knowledge. Threats of civics is free sex of number of students who make the nation weak morals and act not see the value of Pancasila (say and behave without values). Civics solution through a process of learning and practice of students in the school are monitored and assessed as a form of moral evaluation and student behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the strengthening of digital citizenship through science, technology and society-based Citizenship Education courses in the 4.0 era. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, collecting data through interviews, documentation and observation. The results of the study show that 1) strengthening digital citizenship through Civics Education courses based on science, technology and society in the 4.0 era is forming civic competence, 2) Strengthening digital citizenship through Citizenship Education courses requires digital habituation in students' daily lives. 3) Approach to Science, Technology and Society (STM) to answer the problems that exist in the community so that learning becomes more meaningful. Strengthening digital citizenship through science, technology and community-based civics learning in the 4.0 era in the end is towards smart and good citizens.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is first, to find out how the concept of social studies education based on Sirah Nabawiyah is applied at SMPIT Asyifa Boarding School Jalancagak Subang, West Java. Second, to find out why the social studies learning system at SMPIT Asyifa is integrated with Islamic values. Third, to find out how the implementation of social studies learning at SMPIT Asyifa is integrated with Islamic values. Fourth, to find out how the advantages and disadvantages of social studies learning at SMPIT Asyifa Jalancagak Subang are integrated with Islamic values. This research uses a case study qualitative approach. Data was collected by means of interviews, observations, participation, focused discussions, observations and documentation studies. The research informants were the principal, homeroom teacher, in the field of curriculum, social studies teachers for grades VII, VIII, and IX, students in grades, VII, VIII, and IX at SMPIT Asyifa Boarding School Jalancagak Subang. The results of this study, found: (1) The integration of spiritual values in social studies learning is pursued through the example of the principal and teachers, the Head of Curriculum as a translator of the school's vision and mission, the mission of the pesantren, and the head of the dormitory, as well as the implementation of learning programs that nuanced Islamic spiritual values. (2) While the implementation of social science learning (IPS) integrated with Islamic spiritual values is carried out with strategies, namely: always mentioning the names of Allah (asmaul Husna), use of terms, visual illustrations in the form of pictures or slides, applications or examples. , inserting relevant verses of the Qur'an or hadith, tracing the history of the Prophet.

Abstract

Tren intoleransi dan aktivisme radikal di Indonesia dari tahun ke tahun tampaknya tidak juga menemui akhir, walaupun datanya mengalami fluktuasi fenomena intoleransi dan radikalisme hingga hari ini masih menjadi perkara serius yang mengancam stabilitas nasional. Salah satu faktor yang mendorong terjadinya eskalasi aksi radikal dan terorisme adalah adanya rekrutmen organisasi radikalisme yang menyasar kalangan terdidik yaitu mahasiswa di lingkungan perguruan tinggi. Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan upaya Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dalam melaksanakan proses internalisasi nilai toleransi dalam mencegah potensi radikalisme di perguruan tinggi. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus dalam penelitian ini, adapun analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan secara berjenjang dan saling terkait antara reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasanya upaya internalisasi nilai toleransi dapat ditempuh melalui Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang memiliki peran strategis sebagai sarana penanaman nilia-nilai ke-Indonesiaan (toleransi, gotong royong, persatuan dll), penghormatan terhadap hak asasi manusia, dan pendidikan multikultural. Sedangkan kendala yang ditemui dalam proses internalisasi nilai toleransi diantaranya adalah lemahnya proses pembelajaran yang membangun kemampuan berfikir kritis, lemahnya wawasan kebangsaan dan keagamaan mahasiswa, dan fase transisi kalangan mahasiswa dalam menemukan jatidiri mereka atau biasa disebut sebagai fase krisis identitas.

Abstract

Pembelajaran pada dasarnya tidak hanya mengembangkan aspek kognitif, tetapi  ranah afektif juga penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Penelitian ini  memiliki tujuan untuk memahami proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan nilai kecerdasan beragama berbasis pendidikan surau. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan beragama berbasis surau dalam proses pembelajaran akan membetuk karakter peserta didik.  Jadi dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai –nilai dari kecerdasan beragama berbasis surau terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Nilai kecerdasan beragama berbasis surau yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran dilakukan melalui empat tahapan yaitu: pengenalan, penghayatan, pendalaman, dan pembiasaan. Selain itu dalam hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa adanya korelasi ketika peserta didik memiliki kecerdasan beragama (Spiritual quotien) dalam kategori baik, maka kecerdasan intelektual (intelligence Quotient/IQ) dan kecerdasan emosional (emotional quotient/EQ) nya juga baik

Abstract

At present learning about law and human rights is still centered in formal education in schools through learning Citizenship Education. But in reality learning law and human rights in Civics Education is not enough through formal education only, but the idea for developing legal awareness and human rights in Civics Education can also be implemented using other methods such as a forum called Law and Human Rights Awareness Student Forum (Forum Pelajar Sadar Hukum dan HAM (FPSH)) West Java that play the role as Citizenship Education. Several programs of law and human rights development activities carried out by FPSH West Java are following legal counseling for professional organization or communication, school socialization activities, training in introducing law to school, counseling legal awareness to schools, coordinating the exploration of legal awareness and human rights development programs, socialization of drug abuse prevention in the scope of family and school, village teaching, etc. This study aims to explore and analyze FPSH West Java programs in improving and developing student’s legal and human rights awareness in West Java so that it can overcome violations of law and human rights committed by students. The approach used in this research is qualitative with case study method. Data collection is obtained through documentation studies, observation techniques, interviews, participation, and discussion. Data analysis includes the submission of hypotheses, data interpretation, formulation of meaning, and data organization and categorization. The findings of this study indicate that FPSH West Java, in carrying out its program activities, is in accordance with its objectives and functions. FPSH West Java is able to create a program that collaborates with various parties and related institutions that aims to develop regional progress by involving students and college students. Even though FPSH HAM is still facing obstacles in the implementation of their programs but they strive to carry out good cooperation with various parties and related institutions in order to create a concordance and continuous founding.

Abstract

Indonesia, which is a multicultural nation, will not be separated from the rampant cases of intolerance between religious communities that lead to religious blasphemy, clashes between religious communities and even the destruction of houses of worship that harm many people and cause chaos in society. To deal with this, it is necessary to strengthen understanding of inter-religious tolerance which aims to increase public understanding of the importance of maintaining national unity, since in principle every religion teaches goodness to its people. Therefore, in realizing tolerance between religious communities, it can be done through good communication between religious leaders, a culture of harmony and mutual respect for differences as well as helping fellow humanity towards other religions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, with data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the people of Jungjang village, Arjawinangun district, Cirebon have a very good culture of tolerance and are able to create a peaceful atmosphere in the community even though there are houses of worship nearby the location.

Abstract

This research was conducted to look at the implementation, achievements, constraints, and efforts of the West Java’s Government Program, it’s called Sekolah Perempuan Capai Impian dan Cita-cita (Sekoper Cinta) to developing family welfare values in Community Civic. This topic based on curiosity about West Java Government Policies  in overcoming family problems by promoting women as agents of family welfare development in West Java. Sekoper Cinta is a non-formal education program that collaborates with the concept of Community Civic. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Data and information was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation study. This study was conducted in Galanggang Village, Batujajar District, West Bandung Regency as a pilot project location of this program. The conclusion in this study describes the urgency of developing family welfare in the Sekoper Cinta program through Community Civic, then the achievements and methods used in the process of internalizing the values of family welfare

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe approaches, strategies, obstacles, efforts to develop the faith, piety, and noble morals towards students character in SMP Negeri 10 Bandung. The approach chosen is a qualitative approach with the method is case study. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, observation techniques, and study documentation. Techniques in data analysis namely collection data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The final results of this study show that there are various approaches and strategies used by the informants. Then there are also obstacles faced, both from students, the social environment, and government policies. Then there are efforts made together, both of schools, communities, and parents of students. So that the approach and strategy gives good results in developing the faith, piety, and noble morals towards the character of students.
