Abstract

This research was conducted to look at the implementation, achievements, constraints, and efforts of the West Java’s Government Program, it’s called Sekolah Perempuan Capai Impian dan Cita-cita (Sekoper Cinta) to developing family welfare values in Community Civic. This topic based on curiosity about West Java Government Policies  in overcoming family problems by promoting women as agents of family welfare development in West Java. Sekoper Cinta is a non-formal education program that collaborates with the concept of Community Civic. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Data and information was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation study. This study was conducted in Galanggang Village, Batujajar District, West Bandung Regency as a pilot project location of this program. The conclusion in this study describes the urgency of developing family welfare in the Sekoper Cinta program through Community Civic, then the achievements and methods used in the process of internalizing the values of family welfare

Abstract

Media sosial TikTok merupakan media sosial populer yang popularitasnya semakin meningkat mulai tahun 2019-2022. Selain itu, media sosial TikTok juga mendukung pencapaian gerakan literasi nasional. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bentuk-bentuk literasi dan jenis-jenis literasi di media sosial TikTok yang dapat mengasah kemampuan literasi audiens terhadap isu-isu sosial. Sehingga penelitian ini akan dikaji berdasarkan perspektif pendidikan kewarganegaraan dan ilmu komunikasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, yaitu metode penelitian yang memudahkan peneliti menemukan fakta-fakta baru di lapangan secara faktual untuk dianalisis dan disajikan guna memberikan informasi yang akurat, menyeluruh, dan berimbang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk literasi pada media sosial TikTok yang menarik minat audiens dan dapat meningkatkan intensitas penggunaannya adalah literasi audio visual. Sedangkan jenis literasi yang dapat menunjang literasi mahasiswa FPIPS terhadap permasalahan sosial antara lain: 1) Literasi membaca dan menulis; 2) literasi numerasi; 3) literasi media; 4) literasi informasi; 5) literasi digital; 6) literasi budaya dan kewarganegaraan; 7) literasi sains; dan 8) literasi keuangan. Penelitian ini bersifat temporal karena berkaitan dengan penggunaan media sosial yang dibatasi oleh waktu.

Abstract

Based on the background on observations in the VII-G class during the study of PKn. It was found that students had a motivational learning and low critical thinking ability. The purpose of this research is to improve students' critical thinking in class VII-G SMP Negeri 40 Bandung with probing learning Model –prompting. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches to the method of class action research (PTK). This research was conducted in SMPN 40 Bandung with research participants of teachers and students of class VII-G SMPN 40 Bandung. Data collection In this research is done through observation, interviews, documentation study, literature study, field records with processing/data analysis techniques using data-triangulation technique i.e. data reduction, data presentation, conclusion/verification (conclusion). The results obtained from research with model probing-following prompting during the three meetings/cycles showed an increase in students' critical thinking ability, cycles of 1 24.2% "less", cycle II 34.9% "less" and cycle III 60.8% "insufficient". Probing-prompting models are not only for increasing student critical  thinking  but helping students to expand all  questions,  describing new knowledge, being able to help motivate learning better.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: Character education is a strategic agenda in Indonesia’s nation-building, particularly in responding to globalization, moral degradation, and youth intolerance. Within secondary education, religious extracurricular organizations such as the Mosque Youth Association (Ikatan Remaja Masjid) play a vital role in fostering religiosity while strengthening nationalism. This study investigates the role of the Mosque Youth Association in cultivating nationalist-religious character among students in three high schools in Bandung. Methodology: Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, document analysis, and field notes. Seventeen respondents were selected purposively: school principals, association mentors, leaders, members, government officials, and academic experts. Data analysis employed Miles and Huberman’s interactive model data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing validated through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. Main Findings: The findings indicate that the Mosque Youth Association functions as a behavioral laboratory, shaping students’ nationalist-religious character through regular activities such as religious studies, congregational prayers, social service, and leadership training. Consistent habit formation occurs through positive reinforcement (recognition, trust, leadership opportunities) and negative reinforcement (warnings, social sanctions). Key challenges include fluctuating participation, limited resources, repetitive content, and digital demands addressed through program innovation, collaboration, and technology use. Novelty/Originality of this study: The study concludes that character development through the Mosque Youth Association aligns with behavioristic learning theory and provides insights for reinforcement-based character education compatible with the Merdeka Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

This research was motivated by various environmental damages that occurred around Seraya village, Karangasem, Bali. Many factors of damage are caused by human actions such as illegal logging of forests and trees, indifference of the community to their dirty environment, and so on. This study aims to examine the use and impact of saput poleng on environmental sustainability and the effectiveness of saput poleng in the formation of ecological citizenship in Balinese indigenous communities. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. Data analysis uses data reduction, data analysis and verification or conclusion. Environmental conservation efforts by using saput poleng on certain trees create a mystical impression and can prevent intentions and behaviors to protect the existence of trees and support beautiful and sustainable environmental conditions. The results showed that the use of saput poleng on trees is not a fad, but has philosophical and religious values that are highly adhered to by the local community. The habit of pairing saput poleng is able to preserve trees, the environment and is very effective in forming ecological citizenship.Keywords: Ecological citizenship, indigenous Balinese, saput poleng

Abstract

Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) are Indonesian citizens who work abroad to meet their economic needs and contribute to the national economy.This article discusses efforts to enhance nationalism and ideological resilience among PMI in Malaysia, particularly in Johor Bahru, focusing on strengthening their understanding of rights and obligations as Indonesian citizens. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method to gather information through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that outreach and advocacy activities conducted by various parties, including the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia and the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), positively impact PMI's understanding of their rights and strengthen their sense of nationalism. However, challenges still exist, such as the lack of involvement from relevant stakeholders in providing training on professional skills for PMI. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of closer collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and related organizations to enhance PMI's awareness, knowledge, and skills as responsible citizens of Indonesia.   Abstrak Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) adalah warga negara Indonesia yang bekerja di luar negeri untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi mereka dan berkontribusi pada perekonomian nasional. Artikel ini membahas upaya peningkatan nasionalisme dan ketahanan ideologi Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) di Malaysia, khususnya di Johor Bahru, dengan fokus pada penguatan pemahaman terhadap hak dan kewajiban mereka sebagai warga negara Indonesia. Dalam metodologi penelitian ini, pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus digunakan untuk menggali informasi melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan dan advokasi yang dilakukan oleh berbagai pihak, termasuk Konsulat Jenderal Republik Indonesia (KJRI) dan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman PMI mengenai hak-hak mereka serta memperkuat rasa kebangsaan mereka. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat tantangan terkait kurangnya keterlibatan pihak terkait dalam penyuluhan tentang keterampilan profesional PMI. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya kolaborasi yang lebih erat antara pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, dan organisasi terkait untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan PMI sebagai warga negara Indonesia yang baik. Abstract

This study investigates how students at Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang comprehend and internalise Indonesian national identity amidst the pervasive challenges of globalisation and modernisation. In higher education, students are expected not only to master academic competencies but also to cultivate robust moral character as future custodians of the nation. Consequently, this research aims to analyse students' conceptualisation of national identity, evaluate the implementation of character education within campus life, and explore the contemporary socio-cultural challenges confronting the younger generation. Employing a qualitative methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and a comprehensive literature review. The findings reveal that students possess nuanced understandings of national identity, predominantly conceptualising it in terms of the core values of Pancasila, diversity, and mutual cooperation. Furthermore, the implementation of character education demonstrates positive outcomes when integrated into extracurricular activities, student organisations, and community service programmes. Nevertheless, substantial challenges persist, primarily driven by foreign cultural hegemony, rising individualism, and identity crises exacerbated by the digital era. Ultimately, this study recommends reinforcing character education grounded in local wisdom, revitalising Pancasila values within the curriculum, and promoting digital literacy that aligns with the Indonesian national character.
