Salmonella typhii O antigen that endotoxin has led to the emergence of symptoms of fever, so the decreased immune. At the time this condition titer Widal O antigen positive (low - high). When the immune system decreases S.typhii easy entry into the organs of the body including the liver, causing increased ALT levels. Correlational type of research is one way that the data in the form of secondary data taken Bhayangkara Hospital HS Samsoeri Mertojoso Surabaya East Java Police. The population in this study were patients with typhoid fever who examined levels of SGPT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic transaminase) and Widal titer of 100 samples. The samples selected while the inclusion criteria of patients with typhoid fever, typhoid fever patients were examined Widal, Typhoid Fever Patients Patients who widalnya titer 1/80 and 1/160 O antigen of Salmonella typhii and SGPT levels checked as many as 50 samples. From the results of alanine aminotransferase levels in titer Widal O antigen of Salmonella typhii is known that the average ALT was 55.64 U / l. Statistical analysis with Chi - Square showed no relationship between titer Widal O antigen of Salmonella typhii with ALT levels in patients with typhoid fever, with a significant value of less than 0.05 (5%). Keyword : Salmonella typhii, SGPT, Widal

PENGARUH PENGENCERAN ASAM SULFOSALYSIL TERHADAP PEMERIKSAAN POSITIF PROTEIN URIN Rahma W, S.Si, M.Kes.blue4rahma@gmail.com Prodi D3 Analis Kesehatan UM Surabaya  AbstractThe examination of urinary protein, there are several kinds of methods that can be used is 20% sulfosalysil acid method, stick, acetate acid, bence jones, and Esbach. Sulfosalysil acid method is a non-specific indicator, the method is sensitive to the protein in a concentration of 0.002%. In the laboratory there are health centers that use sulfosalysil acid reagent for examination of urinary protein, in addition to using a stick of urine (strip dye). Reagent consumption is expected to have economic value, it is necessary dilution reagent. Dilution reagent can reduce the level of Corrosiveness to laboratory personnel, the smaller the concentration of reagent concentrations the less the level of corrosive. So it apost prandialears a formulation of the problem in this research is "Are there sulfosalysil acid dilution effect of the positive examination of urinary protein?". This type of research used in writing this paper is an experimental study. The population in this study were patients with positive urine protein urine in hospitals Dr.Soetomo Surabaya in the first week of June 2011. Samples were taken from patients with positive urine protein urine in hospitals Dr.Soetomo Surabaya in the first week of June 2011 were taken randomly . To supost prandialort this research, we used a statistical test friedman test, the results obtained friedman test p = 1.000. So there is no significant difference between giving a urine protein levels sulfosalysil acid 20%, 15%, 10%, 5%, and 1%. In this test, from acid dilution sulfosalysil same statistical results obtained, it is caused by the acid-sensitive protein sulfosalysil in a concentration of 0.002%. Therefore, when the protein concentration <0.002% then sulfosalysil acid can not detect the presence of protein in the urine. To strengthen the results, it can be seen the formation of precipitates. Abstract

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN AIR REBUSAN DAUN UBI JALAR (Ipomea batatas) TERHADAP PENINGKATAN JUMLAH TROMBOSIT MENCIT (Mus musculus)Rahma Widyastuti, S.Si, M.KesAkademi Analis Kesehatan UNMUH SurabayaabstractThe leaves of sweet potato contains a very high nutritional value, so it can be used as a vegetable and as a herbal remedy. Sweet potato leaves are often found in various regions in Indonesia. This vegetable contains polyphenols that act as antioxidants that fight disease into the body. . In the leaves of sweet potato 100g contains 117 mg of calcium, 1.8 mg iron, 3.5 mg carotene, 7.2 mg vitamin C, 1.6 mg vitamin E and 0.5 mg of vitamin K, B vitamins, beta-carotene, as well as protein. Formulation of the problem of this study was to determine whether there are effects of sweet potato leaves boiled water to increase platelet counts in mice. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of platelets which water is boiled sweet potato leaves and boiled water without being sweet potato leaves in mice. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Experimental Medicine Faculty Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya and the sample examined in the Hematology Laboratory at the Center for Health Laboratory Surabaya. The number of samples from this study there were 32 mice, 16 mice as a control group and 16 mice as the treatment group. From the results of the levels of the number of platelets in the blood samples of mice known to the average levels of platelet counts after being given water boiled sweet potato leaves as much as 210.5 / mm3 of blood and platelet count levels of mice that were not given water boiled sweet potato leaves as much as 129.7 / mm3 of blood. Statistical analyzes to test differences in the levels of T showed a platelet count between which water is boiled sweet potato leaves and boiled water without being sweet potato leaves, with a value significantly less than 0.05 (5%). Key word : leaves of sweet potato, the levels of the number of platelets in the blood samples

Abstract

ABSTRACT Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the leading cause of death after stroke in all age groups at 12.9%. The main reason is the amount of cholesterol in the blood. Tamarind (Tamarindus indica) is a traditional herb that has the potential to lower cholesterol, because it contains flavonoids, saponins, foliphenols, pectin, organic acids, vitamin B and vitamin C that can lower cholesterol. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tamarind seed powder (Tamarindus indica) on cholesterol levels. This type of research is experimental with pre-test and post-test with control group research design. The population and sample of this study were a group of mice totaling 32 mice. The location of this research was conducted at the Animal Husbandry Center (PUSVETMA). Data collection procedures were carried out by examining the cholesterol levels of mice before and after treatment. The data obtained were followed up with normality test and independent t test. The results of the study using the unpaired t test gave the result of p=0.000 (p<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of seed powder (Tamarindus indica) on cholesterol levels. Keyword : Seeds Tamarindus indica L., cholesterol levels, Mice (Mus musculus)

Abstract

Pestisida adalah zat atau bahan kimia yang digunakan terutama dibidang pertanian, kehutanan, holtikultura dan dilahan publik untuk meningkatkan hasil panen. Sampai saat ini pestisida merupakan pilihan utama petani untuk melindungi tanaman dari gangguan berbagai organisme pengganggu tanaman. Terpaparnya pestisida terhadap tubuh dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif pada komponen yang ada dalam tubuh, diantaranya yaitu darah. Pestisida dapat diperkirakan sebagai salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi profil darah, salah satunya yaitu trombosit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar trombosit pada petani yang terpapar pestisida di Desa Trece Kabupaten Mojokerto. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan rancangan observasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memeriksa jumlah trombosit petani di Desa Trece Kabupaten Mojokerto yang dilakukan secara automatic dengan menggunakan alat hematology analyzer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani Desa Trece Kabupaten Mojokerto yang memiliki kadar trombosit normal sebanyak 26 orang dengan persentase 87% dan rendah sebanyak 4 orang dengan persentase 13%. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, tidak semua penurunan kadar trombosit akibat paparan pestisida dan tidak selamanya yang terpapar pestisida memiliki kadar trombosit yang rendah

Abstract

COVID-19 (Coronaviruses Disease 2019) is a disease caused by a new type of corona virus, namely Sars-CoV-2, was first reported in Wuhan, China on December 31 2019. The death rate in elderly patients continues to increase, accounting for 21.9% . COVID-19 risk assessments show that assessing blood glucose levels has the potential to better identify people at risk of adverse outcomes. Blood sugar levels are affected by a number of factors, including gender and age. At this point, elderly patients experience many physical and mental changes, especially the decline in individual functions and abilities in general. This study aims to describe the results of examining blood glucose levels in elderly COVID-19 patients at Brawijaya Hospital, Surabaya. This type of research is descriptive research with secondary data from the laboratory using total sampling technique. The sample in this study were 65 elderly patients who tested positive for COVID-19 who had blood glucose checked at the clinical pathology laboratory in the September- December 2020 period at Brawijaya Hospital, Surabaya. Variables are then grouped and then tabulated and displayed descriptively in percentage form. The results of this study were obtained from 65 elderly COVID-19 patients who had normal fasting blood glucose levels (<100 mg/dl) which was 6.15%, while those who had abnormal glucose levels (>100 mg/dl) were 93.85%. . These results indicate that the majority of elderly COVID-19 patients have abnormal blood glucose levels

Abstract

Pasien yang memiliki kadar HbA1c >7% akan berisiko 2 kali lebih tinggi untuk mengalami komplikasi. Keadaaan hiperglikemia pada pasien diabetes melitus menyebabkan gangguan pembuluh darah dan pengeluaran Trombosit tinggi sehingga dapat menyebabkan pembekuan darah yang berlebihan, meningkatkan risiko serangan jantung, stroke, atau penyumbatan pembuluh darah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar HbA1c dan jumlah trombosit pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe I dan tipe II. Kadar HbA1c yang tinggi pada DM tipe 1 sebesar 78,78% dan tipe II sebesar 21,21% dan jumlah trombosit yang tinggi pada DM tipe 1 sebesar 80,76%, tipe II sebesar 19,23%. Sedangkan kadar HbA1c dan jumlah trombosit tinggi sebesar 67,56%, dan kadar HbA1c tinggi dengan jumlah trombosit normal sebesar 29,72%, dan kadar HbA1c normal dengan jumlah trombosit normal sbesar 10,81%. Hasil ini menunjukan betapa pentingnya pemeriksaan HbA1c dan jumlah tombosit paa pasien diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Konsumsi ikan laut yang mempunyai kandungan yang kaya akan protein dan omega-3 serta berkualitas tinggi dan bagus bagi kesehatan, akan tetapi jika mengkonsumsi secara berlebihan dapat menyebabkan lemak jenuh serta dapat meningkatkan kadar kolesterol yang tinggi. Tiap harinya nelayan menghasilkan ikan, hasil tangkapan itu sebagian dijual dan sebagian dikonsumsi sehari-hari. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan nelayan, mereka bekerja sebagai nelayan dalam waktu lebih dari 5 tahun. Kebiasaan nelayan tersebut yaitu tiap hari mengkonsumsi ikan hasil tangkapan, sebanyak lebih dari 3 kali dalam sehari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan konsumsi ikan laut dengan kadar kolesterol total pada nelayan di desa tamberu timur. Metodeyang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi yang dalam penelitian ini adalah nelayan di Desa Tamberu Timur. Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan probability sampling didapatkan 33 responden yang memenuhi syarat kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Hasil yang didapat kadar kolesterol yang tinggi yaitu terdapat 20 responden (60.7%), sedangkan kadar kolesterol yang normal sebanyak 13 orang (39.3%). Setelah dilakukan analisis data dengan SPSS didapatkan hasil kadar kolesterol sebesar 0,005< 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H1 diterima yang berarti terdapat hubungan antara mengkonsumsi ikan laut dengan kadar kolesterol pada nelayan di Desa Tamberu Timur. Abstract

 Air merupakan kebutuhan yang sangat penting bagi manusia, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Air merupakan kebutuhan mutlak untuk kelangsungan hidup. Dimana diatur dalam Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia No.416/Menkes/Per/XI/1990, tentang kualitas air bersih di daerah perbukitan atau di daerah pegunungan kapur menyebabkan kondisi sumber air bersih tercemar terutama di sumur gali di sekitarnya. penggunaan air sumur yang tercampur kapur secara berlebihan dan berulang dapat berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan tubuh, salah satunya penyakit ginjal. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa edukasi kreatif terkait pengaruh konsumsi air minum terhadap fungsi ginjal ini dilakuakan dengan metode ceramah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa edukasi kreatif agar masyarakat dapat lebih mudah memahami penyakit ginjal yang disebabkan oleh konsumsi air yang mengandung kapur baik terkait penyebab, bahaya, dampak, dan pencegahan secara baik. Melalui kegiatan ini terjalin kerjasama antara institusi perguruan tinggi dengan pemerintah daerah yaitu desa setempat dalam upaya mengurang faktor resiko penyakit ginjal. Kegiatan edukasi ini diharapkan dapat berkelanjutan sehingga masyarakat lebih memahami cara-cara pencegahan.
