Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnant women is a significant health issue in various countries, including Indonesia. This condition can increase the risk of preterm birth, low birth weight babies, and complications during delivery. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in Yogyakarta was 16.50% in 2022, with Bantul district ranking third highest. In Panggungharjo Village, Bantul, anemia in pregnant women has become a focus in efforts to improve maternal and child health. Objectives:To identify three factors influencing the anemia status of pregnant women after assistance from the Family Assistance Team. Methods:This research is a quantitative study with an analytical observational design and a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 78 respondents from a population of 352 pregnant women in Panggungharjo Village. The variables studied were knowledge of anemia, adherence to iron tablet consumption, Upper Arm Circumference (LILA), and hemoglobin (Hb) levels. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 22.Results:The study found that knowledge about anemia and adherence to consuming iron tablets did not have a significant relationship with anemia status. However, Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) had a significant relationship with anemia status (ρ = 0,013). Pregnant women with normal LILA tended to have better anemia status compared to those experiencing Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK).Conclusion: Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) is the most significant factor influencing anemia status in pregnant women. Efforts to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women through interventions that increase LILA can be an effective strategy to reduce the prevalence of anemia. The Family Assistance Team is advised to continue providing education about anemia and the importance of consuming iron tablets, as well as to monitor the nutritional status of pregnant women holistically and continuously. Keywords: Anemia, pregnant women, family assistance

Cadres, Family PlanningField Officers, and Midwives are officers who directly carry out IEC on contraceptives for fertile agedcouples. The poor quality of IEC will affect the receipt of information about IUD contraceptives andimplants. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of IEC in the FamilyPlanning Program in improving IUD and implantsMethods: This study is a qualitative study with a case study design. The unit of analysis in this studyis at the individual level. The samplingtechnique was done by using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed by usingexplanation techniques (explanation building)Results: Cadres and Family Planning Field Officers do not use the media optimally and materialpresented is limited. The obstacles experienced by cadres in the Information and EducationCommunication process were not mastering the material and not having the skills to do IEC, while theobstacles experienced by Family Planning Field Officers were a lack of Human Resources and adouble workload so they could not directly provide IEC to couples of childbearing age. Conclusion: The implementation of Information and Education Communication for Fertile Couples byCadres and Family Planning Field Officers generally does not work properly. Abstract

Background: Providing iron and folic acid through the ingestion of blood booster tablets is an intervention to lower the prevalence of anemia in adolescents. However, just a small percentage of adolescent girls have consumed blood booster tablets as prescribed. Aims: To identify the factors related to the behavior of consuming blood booster tablets among adolescent girls in Bantul Regency based on the Theory of Planned Behavior. Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted in Bantul Regency, a Special Region of Yogyakarta Province, between March and May 2023. A total of 381 adolescent girls aged 16-18 years participated in filling out questionnaires to collect data. The questionnaire includes socio-demographics, knowledge about blood booster tablets and anemia, attitudes, subjective norms, intentions, and behaviors of consuming blood booster tablets. Path Analysis was used to analyze the data with statistical significance (p) at 0.05. Result: As a result, intention directly influences the behavior of consuming blood booster tablets (p=˂0.001). Subjective norms have a direct influence on the behavior of consuming blood booster tablets (p=0.023) and have an indirect influence through attitudes (p˂0.001) and intentions (p˂0.001). Attitude has an indirect influence on the behavior of consuming blood booster tablets through intention (˂0.001), then the level of knowledge has an indirect influence on intention (p=0.037) and attitude (p=0.032). Conclusion: Adolescent girls will have good consumption behavior of blood booster tablets if they have a positive attitude, a high level of knowledge, subjective norms, and high intentions. These findings can be used to design health promotion models useful for increasing the consumption behavior of blood booster tablets. Further research is needed to find the right educational model to increase knowledge, attitudes, subjective norms, and intentions to consume blood booster tablets.

Abstract

Resilience is the ability of an individual to handle stress or pressure, as well as to manage anxiety and depression. Anxiety has been proven to be a mental disorder that occurs in pregnant women during the third trimester. Psychological changes during the third trimester appear more complex, as the condition is largely due to the growing condition of pregnancy and the lack of preparation for childbirth in the mother, who will be more anxious and show fear, silence, and even tears. Individuals with good resilience will feel capable of achieving their goals even when they are in situations of trauma, tragedy, or events that can cause stress. Resilient individuals will remain calm, think carefully, focus, be able to control themselves, and adapt to the changes they experience, thus not easily feeling anxious and depressed. This study aims to understand the resilience of pregnant women at the Sewon Kapanewon Health Center. This study is quantitative with a descriptive quantitative method. The sampling technique used is Aksidental Sampling with a sample size of 84 individuals. The instrument used is the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale 25 (CD-RISC 25). Based on the results of the CD-RISC 25 questionnaire, the resilience level of pregnant women in the third trimester at Sewon Health Center I and II shows that 67 pregnant women (79.5%) have moderate resilience, 17 pregnant women (20.5%) have high resilience, and no low resilience (0%). The results of this study serve as a source of data and a reference for developing more effective programs or interventions by healthcare professionals in addressing mental health issues.
