Abstract

This research aims to determine the misconception of students at SMP IT Al Fahmi on the concept of motion. This research is descriptive quantitative with survey method. Data collection was carried out through written test using multiple choice questions equipped with Certainty of Response Index (CRI). The data analysis show that conception achievement on the concept of motion was 50.95% knowing the concept, 23.81% missing the concept and 25.24% not knowing the concept. Misconceptions occur in all concepts of motion, all straight motion (31.75%), force (20.24%) and Newton's law (20.63%). Many students misconceptions occur in the questions indicators determining displacement, resultant force, action and reaction force.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning methods on student learning outcomes in science lessons. This research is quantitative study. Sample of this research were 34 students of fifth grade SD Islam Khalifah Palu. The research instrument was a multiple choice question. The data analysis was done in the form of a validity test with SPSS 23 and a reliability test with KR 21. Hypothesis testing was done by using the One Sample T-Test with SPSS 23. The results of the tests were obtained ttest of 2.149 and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.039. Based on this value, it can be concluded that the research hypothesis (H1) is accepted. The average value of students after learning with the guided inquiry method is greater than the KKM. The results of these studies indicate that the guided inquiry learning method has a significant positive effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to determine effect of audiovisual media in improving student learning outcomes in science learning at SDN 3 Ampana City, Tojo Una-una Regency on theme 9 "Exploring Outer Space". This research is descriptive quantitative with with one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was 27 students of class VI. Data collection was carried out through written test using multiple choice question. The results of the research indicate the influence of audiovisual media in improving student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the average results of the pretest of 38.52 and the posttest of 73.70. This result is higher than the KKM 70. Runs test in the posttest obtained a value of 0.101 with a significance level of 5% (0.05), which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research (quasi experimental design). It aims to determine the application of virtual laboratory to improve understanding of science concepts. Subjects of this research were PGMI students class of 2020. The results of data analysis using the t-test showed that students understanding of science concepts who received learning using a virtual laboratory differed significantly from students who received conventional learning. The gain based on the results of data analysis using the gain normalization of the experimental class was 0.60 and the control class was 0.41. It means that there is improvement on the students of PGMI science concept in medium category. The increase in understanding of science concepts in the experimental class was higher than in the control class.

Abstract

This research is development research. It adapts the 4D development model from Thiagarajan which consists of define, design, develop and disseminate. It aims to develop of teaching materials for basic concepts of natural science integrated with Islamic values. Subjects of this research were students of Natural Sciences Education Study Program. The research instrument used consisted of expert validation sheets and student response questionnaires. This research uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the stages of developing teaching materials were carried out up to the develop stage. The results of the validator's analysis of the feasibility of teaching materials obtained a percentage of 94.55%. This shows that the teaching materials that have been developed are very feasible to be tested and used in learning the Basic Concepts of Natural Science Course. The student response questionnaire assessment showed an acquisition of 4.47 with a percentage of 89.4%, which means that students gave a very good response to the teaching materials that had been developed. Comments given by students in the questionnaire also show that the teaching materials that have been developed are interesting and the material presented is relevant to everyday life.

Abstract

This research is a development research which aims to develop learning media based on Liveworksheets on dynamic electricity material at MTs Bina Potential Sis Aljufri. The research subjects were students of class VIII MTs Bina Potential Sis Aljufri. The development model used is the ADDIE development model. The analysis technique was carried out using quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques, material expert validation, media expert validation and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the validity aspect of Liveworksheets-based learning media products developed by the authors obtained an average score of 3.45 with a percentage of 86.25% from material experts who included very good criteria, an average score of 3.00 with a percentage of 75% from media experts including good criteria. In the practicality aspect, an average score of 3.28 was obtained with a percentage of 82.48% from the results of the responses of students in small-scale field trials, where the level of practicality was included in the high practicality level. The use of Liveworksheets-based learning media can make it easier to understand the material presented and can foster students' interest and learning motivation.

Abstract

The background of this research is the condition of students at MIS Al-Khairaat Tada who did not understand the science learning material. The learning carried out is conventional and not student-centered. This research starts from the problem of whether there is an effect of implementing the STAD type cooperative learning model on the ability to identify animals in class V students at MIS Al-Khairaat Tada? The sample for this research was 13 class V students of MIS Al-Khairaat Tada. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques through tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are normality test, regression test and hypothesis test. Hypothesis testing using the t test obtained a significance value of 0,000. This value is smaller than 0,05 so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. These results indicate that there is an influence of the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the ability to identify animals in class V students at MIS Al-Khairaat Tada.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the condition of students in class IV MI Muhammadiyah Nunu who during the learning process did not pay enough attention to explanations from educators. This occurs due to a lack of interesting activities in learning, resulting in a lack of interest and motivation to learn in students. The sample for this research was 19 class IV students at MI Muahammadiyah Nunu. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing and hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test obtained a significance value for interest in learning of 0.748, this value is greater than 0.05, so it is assumed that Ha is rejected and H0 is accepted, which means there is no influence of simple practical learning on interest in learning science in class IV MI Muhammadiyah students. Nunu. Meanwhile, the results of the learning motivation hypothesis test obtained a significance value of 0.045, this value is smaller than 0.05, so it is assumed that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that there is an influence of simple practical learning on the science learning motivation of class IV students at MI Muhammadiyah Nunu.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the impact of the discovery learning model on students' scientific literacy skills concerning the topics of temperature and heat expansion in the seventh grade at MTs Negeri 3 Palu. The research employs a quantitative methodology featuring a quasi-experimental design that utilizes pretest and posttest measures in non-equivalent control group design. Class VII A serves as the experimental group, while class VII C acts as the control group, with participants selected through purposive sampling. The assessment tools consist of a multiple-choice pretest and posttest, comprising a total of 15 items. Data were analyzed utilizing a paired samples t-test. The results indicate that the significance value for students' scientific literacy skills is 0.00 (2-tailed), which is lower than the 0.05 threshold. This suggests that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model significantly impacts seventh-grade students' scientific literacy skills on the topics of temperature and heat expansion at MTs Negeri 3 Palu.

Abstract

This study investigates the enhancement of students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the guided inquiry learning model in science instruction of eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 2 Kota Palu. Employing quasi-experimental with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design, the study involved two classes: an experimental group receiving instruction via the guided inquiry model, and a control group taught using conventional model. Data were gathered through a 15-item critical thinking skills test, validated for both reliability and validity. Prior to hypothesis testing, assumptions of normality and homogeneity were confirmed. Students in the experimental group significantly improved their critical thinking abilities when compared to the control group, according to further analysis using an independent samples t-test. These results imply that critical thinking skills are successfully enhanced in science education through used of the guided inquiry learning model.
