Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Instrumen Tes Berbasis Literasi Sains Aspek Menjelaskan Fenomena Ilmiah Materi Energi. Desain penelitian ini ialah Research and Development (R&D). Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode angket dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini ialah berupa instrumen tes berbasis literasi sains yang layak untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains siswa, dimana nilai validitas keseluruhan instrumen tes 0,60 yang berarti berkualitas tinggi, dan penilaian keseluruhan aspek yaitu aspek materi, literasi sains, konstruksi, dan tata bahasa oleh para ahli; dosen ahli IPA dan guru-guru IPA/MTs di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta berturut-turut dengan skor 78, 33; dan 95,25 berarti memiliki kriteria baik; dan sangat baik. The purpose of this research is to develop a Literacy-based Test Instrument of Science in Explaining the Scientific Phenomena of the Subject Matter of Energy. The design of this research is Research and Development (R&D). The metods of data collection which used is questionaires and test of data. The techniques of data analysis are quantitative and qualitative. The result of this study is a science based from literacy test instrument that is suitable for measuring the students’ science literacy skills, where the overall validity of the test instrument is 0.60 which means high quality, and the overall assesment of science, science literacy, contruction, and grammar by expert, expert lecturer, science teachers in special area Yogyakarta in a row with a score of 78.33 and 92.25 which means having good and excellent quality.

Abstract

The study aims to develop instrument to measurethe level of understanding of students and microscopic level material phase changes of water. The method used is R&D (Research and Development) Borg and Gall, which have procedure were are following step (1) Need assessment/ Plan (2) Design product/ Organization (3) Created product/ implementation. Implementation with one shot design study with samples used a number of 71 students of 10th grade MA Wahid Hasyim and senior high school MBS Yogyakarta. Indicators in the study is the movement and vibration of water particles, the distance between water particles, particle kinetic energy of water, relative atomic mass of water and hydrogen bonding. The results showed an understanding of chemica lmaterial microscopic level is low and spitual attitude as a nurturant effect is high categories.?

Abstract

This research aims to develop potential ability instruments for placement tests in graduate degrees. This study used the research and development instrument made by Hambleton and Jones sequences. The potential abilities measured by the instrument are academic potential and language skills. The product was reviewed by professional assessor and used in admission for selection in the academic years 2016/2017. The professional assessor reviewed the content, test construction, and language aspect. The construct and content validity from the professional assessor reached a good level with minor revision for the next selection. Ultimately, the results of the reviewing process are the potential academic test must not measure prior knowledge but the initial potential of the candidate and test for language should be emphasized on prior knowledge for Islamic study.

Abstract

Berdasarkan dari segi isi dan kontruksi, soal UN tahun 2012/2013 dilaksanakan dengan tes objektif pilihan ganda dan digunakan sebagai standar nasional. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini melakukan analisis karakteristik soal HOTS dalam soal UN Kimia SMA Rayon B tahun 2012/2013. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik non-tes dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu penulis sendiri, dua guru kimia, dan dua dosen kimia. Pengambilan keputusan sekaligus keabsahan data dilakukan dengan FGD, yaitu diskusi terfokus oleh para narasumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa karakteristik  soal tipe HOTS  yang ada pada soal UN Kimia SMA Rayon B Tahun 2012/2013 yaitu stimulus, sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif belum dapat dihasilkan kesimpulan. Bentuk stimulus dan persentase masing-masing bentuk yang terdapat pada soal UN tersebut yaitu gambar/grafik/diagram sebesar 15%, tabel sebesar 15%, simbol/rumus/persamaan kimia sebesar 47,5%, contoh sebesar 22,5%, dan penggalan kasus sebesar 32,5%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The aim of this research in to know microscopic representation change in atom and molecule concept which is influenced by STEM Education. This research is one of the sequences in Research and Development of test instrument by chemistry software. The kind of this research is fieldwork research with one group pre-test and post-test design. Subjects in this research are the twenty-seven  students in MBS Senior High School grade 11 th in Yogyakarta region. STEM Education can improve student microscopic representation skill from 30.18 to 54.62 in average score and based on student result in painting molecule with ChemDraw and Avogadro's application, there are a lot of improvement in understanding concept.Keywords: STEM education, microscopics representations, atom and moleculeReceived: 11 January 2018, Revised: 21 January 2018, Accepted: 24 February 2018

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aims to examine the characteristics and quality of chemical enrichment books based on ethnosciences as a source of science literacy learners. The research method used is Research and Development. Data collection using questionnaire method. Data analysis is done quantitatively and qualitatively. The result of research is in the form of chemical enrichment book based on ethnoscience with characteristics: (1) A5 print media, (2) raised 4 Javanese cultural themes especially Yogyakarta area consisting of Batik, Wayang Kulit, Merapi, and Dagger themes, (3) the theme in general, the transformation of science from indigenous science to scientific science, and the renewal steps that can be made based on the existing environmental or social facts in the theme, (4) developed by containing affective, cognitive, andpsychomotor domains. Assessment is performed using an assessment  instrument that refers to the instrument B1 of the Center for Curriculum and Bookkeeping. Assessment by material experts, media experts, cultural experts, chemistry teachers, and students' responses were 83.33%, 90.9%, 60%, 84.30%, and 90%, respectively, with Good category (B), Very Good (SB), Enough (C), Very Good (SB), and Good (B), thus this chemical enrichment book deserves to be a source of science literacy by studentsKeywords: development, enrichment book, ethnoscience, javanese culture, literacy scienceReceived: 10 February 2018, 16 February 2018, Accepted: 24 February 2018

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of students and teachers in the learning process chemicals to be used for the development of Direct Instruction model of teaching chemistry Thinking inductively oriented to foster students' life skill. This study population is the entire SMA / MA in Yogyakarta. The samples are purposive sampling determined by taking into account the achievement of learning outcomes. The study sample consisted of 2 (two) MA, 7 (seven) SMA, 2 (two) private high school. Data was gathered from observation, interview guidelines and questionnaires. analyzed descriptively and interpretative, equipped crosscheck the data and data sources. conclusions of this study (1) has identified three (3) learning model commonly implemented by teachers in the learning process chemistry, (2) some of the barriers / obstacles in applying the model of learning-oriented thinking inductively, (3) life skills students have developed the maximum.
