Abstract

Trade is an activity of exchanging goods and services based on mutual agreement without any element of coercion. Import and export activities are economic activities that cannot be separated from trade and are a unity that can encourage the improvement and growth of the economy in a country. The purpose of this research is to focus on the effect of import-export on economic growth, the evaluation of the contribution of Customs, and the role of international trade supervision. Customs or customs authorities in Indonesia, known as Customs and Excise, are the gateway to international trade. Customs manages state finances and implements state revenue through import duties and excise. The results of this study show that Indonesia's economic growth is influenced by global economic growth. In the first quarter of 2023, export activity weakened with the moderation of international commodity prices which supported the exports of North Sumatra Province. Export performance in North Sumatra grew 2.45% (yoy), lower than the previous quarter which amounted to 9.77% (yoy). Export activities in Indonesia are one of the efforts made by the government to follow the development of industrialization every year. Competition between products in foreign markets depends on price, quality, and quality of goods are important factors in competing in export activities.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the Klambir Lima Kebun Village household business group through the establishment of WhatsApp Group digital marketing as one of the efforts in improving business product marketing strategies. This devotion activity uses training methods with the target of village household business groups as objects of service that amount to ± 40 people. The results of this service activity show that the limitations of digital literacy are one reason that triggers the target of marketing business group actors' products has not been in line with expectations, so this devotion activity has also succeeded in creating a WhatsApp Group with four business groups. Village officials can continue to support those who help in every training/education activity carried out by institutions, institutions, or other private parties to maintain the sustainability of household businesses in rural environments.

Abstract

Desa Tuntungan I merupakan  desa sentra tanaman ubi kayu di Kabupaten Deli Serdang yang berdampak positif terhadap  perkembangan UMKM pengolahan  opak.   UD. Sun Jaya Mandiri merupakan mitra yang mempunyai usaha tani ubi kayu dan UMKM opak.  Tingginya kebutuhan ubi kayu   tidak diimbangi oleh hasil panen karena mahalnya pupuk  kimia.   Pengetahuan mitra tentang pemanfaatan limbah pertanian sebagai biochar masih rendah terlihat dari limbah panen ubi kayu dibiarkan saja.  Pemasaran opak dilakukan dari mulut kemulut, mitra belum pernah merencanakan dan menyusun strategi pemasaran melalui platform digital, produksi dan pendapatan mitra stagnan karena pasarnya terbatas. Pengabdian ini bertujuan memberi pengetahuan dan pelatihan  tentang pemanfaatan limbah pertanian sebagai biochar bahan pembenah tanah, memberikan pelatihan tentang menyusun rencana dan strategi pemasaran  serta memperluas  jaringan pemasaran  dengan  digital marketing.  Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian di mulai dari sosialisai, observasi lapangan, persiapan kegiatan,pelaksanaan pengabdian dan pendampingan serta evaluasi keberlanjutan program. Metode yang digunakan adalah dalam bentuk diskusi, ceramah, presentasi, demonstrasi dan  praktek langsung. Kegiatan ini melibatkan hampir 30 peserta. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan instrument pre-test dan post test. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mitra tentang biochar sebesar 66,67-100 % . Mitra mulai membuat sendiri membuat biochar dan mengaplikasikan ke lahan mereka.  Peningkatan kemampuan mitra menyusun rencana dan strategi pemasaran sebesar 60- 90% , sudah terbangunnya toko digital di ecommerce (shopee dan tokopedia).
